Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 942 - 941 - Dragon vs Tiger

Chapter 942 - 941 - Dragon vs Tiger

His time became miserable for the next few years. The tigress kept coming back to attack him but she did not break his Law Arrays.

He wanted to focus on her but the instant he seriously upped his attacks, she became elusive! It was stunning how fast she could move that even he could not keep up but she could not keep up that extreme speed for long.

He also felt like she was enjoying the fights way too much! Her power was nothing to sneeze at.

His skin with scales was still not enough to fully defend himself but he could recover with the use of his harmony.

The more they fought, the more amorous she became! He found it very annoying and he was reaching the limit of his tolerance.

He had sworn vengeance. He wanted to rip her apart but the woman avoided him like the plague when he became serious. He was making mistakes trying to form the array because of it.

He finally changed tactics and made Law Weavings without anyone noticing. It was a very rare field so damned few knew what to expect.

The tigress was nothing if not persistent. It was not a matter of if but when she would show up.

If not for his inability to land a lethal strike, the annoyance would have long been over!

Lind felt like he was being watched but acted like he felt nothing. He was actually making good progress on his Law Array despite lacking the formations skill. Immortals given enough time could make any Law Array so long as they had comprehended the Laws they wished to use.

He was actually very close to completing the foundation of his Inheritance special realm but he slowed down as a new feeling washed over his senses.

Why wasn't she attacking like normal? Did she sense the traps he had laid out? He had done so before but that never stopped her. His artifacts and formation plates did not seem to slow her down much.

Her silver fur hide could withstand an incredible amount of pressure. Only direct attacks from him did any real damage.

It was an oddity. She was immensely stronger than the other white tigers he had faced but he did not know why. Feng was not sure as he had contacted her to see if she knew anything.

It was possible her bloodline was extremely pure but a progenitor divine bloodline should trump her easily.

Cyntilla had also done some 'investigating' with the other Silverthorn Fangs. Their former leader was not a part of their original packs. No one seemed to know where she came from but her strength had always been insane.

Further, she had never had a mate. None could beat her and she refused to bow to anyone that could not beat her!

What was odd was one story Cyntilla found that sounded eerily familiar.

In the Heaven Realm lands that the white tigers essentially ruled, a young master of the clan had been near death. A human had sheltered him and died a horrific death protecting him. She had been basically dismembered but never gave up the tiger.

A strange storm was then noted as lightning danced around the area just as she died. The tiger only saw an empty clearing when it was all over but he distinctly recalled hearing a roar that shook his soul.

Lind easily recalled the story Ethry had told him. It was how a beam of emerald light slammed into his shredded body and repaired it completely as a sinuous dragon dove into it.

Lightning was closely associated with the white tigers and if a human had become a tiger soul, it was quite possible she was extremely pure in her bloodline and on par with his own!

Yet, she clearly mimicked the Silverthorn Fangs bloodline. She was not making her own so far as he knew.

While dragons came in various forms and colors, generally it was the elements that dictated their outward appearance. Lind had his harmony define his.

All of that was at the back of his mind as he was mystified why the tigress was holding back. Why was she suddenly so careful when she boldly attacked him before?

He focused on his Law Weavings but none of them reacted so she was just outside his immediate work area.

It was just when he was about to complete the critical step in his Law Arrays that one of them triggered.

Metallic claws slashed out as a sphere of storming Qi closed on his target! He expected the Law Weaving to ensnare her long enough to finally get a critical hit in. He was going to kill her!

He was shocked, then, as a storm of Qi he recognized all too well. A bright silvery flame blasted his Law Weaving apart like it was a thin sheet of paper!

At the heart of it was the voluptuous human form of the tigress. She was no longer teasing or amused but deadly serious. What had changed?

His threats, attacks, and serious attempts to kill her had never affected her at all, but something had shifted.

He quickly flew into the air and watched in awe as she dismantled all his Law Weavings like they were child's play!

A 6 elemental! She was a 6 elemental!

Her harmony was unlike any he had encountered save 2. His own and Kexin's. The harmony of Domination was very distinct and his own had insane abilities that no other harmony could replicate.

"You did not kill them." Her voice was cold as her silvery eyes glowed with power that made Lind shiver. Had she not been serious the whole time?

"Did not kill who?" He suspected what she was referring to but was currently buying time. She vanished in a blur of silver light!

He had no time to react as the world tilted and his left arm was broken instantly! Pain also flowed into his meridians but his own harmony flared to fight back. Emerald and silver fought inside his body with his own power winning out.

It did not heal his arm as a powerful intent still raged inside it but it was diminishing. He wanted to down an elixir but had no time as his instincts screamed at him to dodge.

He shot up like a rocket which left the annoyed face of the tigress looking up at him. Her arms were transformed into her powerful tiger limbs and shining claws extended to shred his flesh.

"You have no honor! You will die!" He sneered at her. Honor seemed very flexible to the white tigers.

"You attacked my power when most of us were away. You nearly filleted my son but then fell back after finding out I am a True Lord and a progenitor. Did you think I would be merciful?" He heard a loud crack as his arm reset.

It was still injured but could work at last. He dared not transform as it would leave him exposed.

An angry roar came from her but he was done being a punching bag.

Emerald flames exploded outward from his body with all the battle aura he could infuse into it. The tigress sneered as she waved a single arm to cut through it like a hot knife through butter!

Lind had a new appreciation for how Fiends had to feel facing him!

It was like all he had relied on was now a weakness, not a strength!

"You were entitled to revenge but you dishonored my Clan! I will not let this pass!" It seemed she had been out of contact all that time. Had she investigated him as he had investigated her?

He had learned about her long ago but her knowledge was clearly more recent. Yet he was confused. The time it took to reach the nearest settlement was at least several months but she had attacked him a few days ago.

She had never contacted her Clan in that entire time since she left to wander the Celestial Fields?

"I am a True Lord! What I decide is appropriate for punishment is my purview!" He only needed a little more time and making her angry seemed the best approach as her face became crimson. She sent slices of pure silver harmonic Qi flying at him.

Everything in his body screamed of danger so he took no chances but the damned things followed him as he dodged! He tore up space but it did no good!

The curved arcs were losing no power and homing in on him! He then took a chance as his robes ripped apart to reveal a massive tail covered in emerald scales.

The attacks sliced up his tail like it was nothing! Blood sprayed the air and black clouds gathered above them suddenly. Lind had not called them!

Lighting danced as tigers formed above him but he ignored it all as the tigress sneered at him.

"You may be a True Lord, but I am a divine progenitor! You will die here!" He felt the real threat but then both froze as a dragon appeared in the clouds as well! Unlike the tiger, it was not angry, but almost amused!

"You do not seem to know who I am. I am a Divine progenitor as well as a True Lord!" His words shocked her but neither ignored the threat above. It seemed the Heavens were divided so the 2 avatars would fight it out.

Lind did not intend to wait as he was getting dizzy from the loss of blood.

A stream of Celestial Qi flew from his body and completed the Law Array. Space warped in all directions sharply. Gravity and other natural Laws were rent asunder as the tigress was sent tumbling away.

She screamed at him as he waved when he vanished from the current world and safely vanished into his own.

Things had not gone well in the current round but he would return. The vendetta was now serious on both sides. He sent a sharp warning to Ethry but it was all he could do as the rest of the world was cut off.

He could finally focus on his Inheritance.
