Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 935 - 934 - Retaliation

Chapter 935 - 934 - Retaliation

Feng was astonished at Lind Frey's request. Based on the Cataclysm and the events leading up to it, she had assumed all the divine bloodlines had been wiped out or as close as possible, but now the White Tigers had shown up!

She reviewed the reports and the medical facts as well and it was an attack she knew!

The Moonlight Descends Art was a racial attack infused with heavy metal intent to shred the opponent to death. It was only used against foes they deemed worthy but few survivors felt honored about it.

Most were crippled at best, no corpse left at worst.

What was more shocking to her was how the 1st generation from Lind that was mostly human had been able to resist such an attack!

Even her own Clan would have been killed by such an attack if it landed on them!

It reminded her how powerful a progenitor's bloodline could be on top of being a True Lord too!

Regardless, she knew why the attack and retreat left no trace behind. She had encountered that particular effect before.

She was near running down the corridors of the Clan until she reached Lind's office. The doors were open but she put her pale hand against the panel there. It glowed green to let her know she could proceed.

Crossing the threshold revealed a changed room. Where once it was more scholarly and warm, it was now martial and cold.

She saw several portraits but they were humanoids, not tigers, yet she saw the symbol to confirm her own suspicion.

It was indeed the White Tigers, one of the purest bloodlines! The cat face in profile biting to the right with silver lining and red eyes conformed to her memory.

"Ah, Feng, thank you for coming so quickly. What can you tell me about our enemy?" His voice was calm but she flinched at the power in his voice. She was nearly on par with him in cultivation strength but he still had a ways to go!

Yet his authority as a True Lord was coming through and it made her shiver at his rage!

"They are from a clan I know. They should be the Silverthorn Fang Clan. They are as close to pure blooded White Tigers as we had when I was participating in the world back then." She looked at the wall map of the Celestial Fields.

It was disturbing to see how empty it was compared to what she was used to but she pointed to the far west.

"There were many jungles there long ago that they called home. They relished battle and had a falling out with the dragons long ago. They would never attack a Temple as they are sacred but anything else was an open target." She saw him frown but nod at her words.

"They were seriously all located in the west?" She shook her head.

"They usually dominated an area they conquered but their ancestors came from there. Even with their warlike nature, they may have sent their juniors to the Heaven Realm lands to save them from the Cataclysm. It is not impossible they sensed the danger before it hit everyone." Lind slowly nodded once more.

"Why attack us? I am a dragon, true, but the vast majority of my descendents are predominantly human." It was a hell of a long way to travel for an attack but Feng could only bitterly smile.

"It may have nothing to do with you being a dragon, that is only a bonus. You are recognized as the strongest. They would happily challenge you and that is what they have done." She then paused before admitting the next part. "It is entirely possible they retreated once they learned why you were not here. Attacking an enemy fighting the Fiends is considered cowardly by them."

A powerful aura flared and she winced. She understood she was saying they were not driven off but left of their own will.

Still, they did not understand how freakishly powerful a group of white tigers could be under the command of an Immortal.

"How were they able to flee so completely with no trace that even I can't find them?" Feng produced a jade slip for him but spoke as well.

"The complete details are there but if they have a Shard Tier expert in their clan, they can cut the very air and essence of Qi to destroy all traces. They can shrink space as well for their members up to about 1000 at a time." It was made them terrifying.

They could cover a massive amount of distance quickly with no trace left behind! It was not as efficient as tearing through space but still effective.

"Are they expecting me to retaliate?" Feng could only shrug her shoulders.

"They are not going to be unhappy but expect them to be vicious if you do not dominate them. They challenge you to see if you are as strong as claimed to assert their dominance." It was their way of life and they likely never changed.

"What about attacking those fighting Fiends?" Feng actually smiled a bit there.

"They made an exception long ago. Even the weakest power that fought the Fiends would be defended to the death by them." The crack of wood was all the warning she had before his aura washed the room.

"So instead of facing my anger openly, they retreat when they learn what they had done?! If it is a lesson they want, then I will give it to them!" Feng trembled. She had never seen that side of him before.

Going off to fight or face grief was one thing, but a True Lord father in anger was nothing she had ever dreamed possible.

It was entirely possible the Silverthorn Fangs pulled back due to learning what Lind was. A True Lord was not a being to cross!

Still, it was all too late no matter what she once knew. It was also possible the current clan was nothing like she knew too but the symbol and methods matched at least.

"Where was the ascension pool in that area?" Lind had not journeyed there as it had been empty back then. A simple sweep was enough to confirm that but clearly that had changed.

Feng pointed to the point where some mountains had once stood but had been flattened in the present. The terrain may have shifted but the ascension pools should theoretically still be the same relative position.

Before she could turn back, she felt the space distort around her!

The office was replaced by an open sky! She was shocked! She stared at Lind as they looked down at a terrain that was half mountain and half plains!

She recognized it as something that should have been years to get to even with tearing through space but he did it in one move!

"How did you do this?!" He did not answer as his eyes roamed the greenery below. She never knew anyone that could cross an entire realm no matter how strong they were! How could he do that?!

"Found them." He only spoke 2 words but before anything else could occur, a powerful Shard Tier aura exploded from below. The trees that had recovered were decimated as a roaring tiger flew up at them in phantom form.

Feng felt her own bloodline respond but was shocked when a simple wave of Lind's hands decimated the attack! That was a bloodline skill! It was the most powerful attack a beast could unleash! He swatted it like it was a bug.

A man with a mane of white hair soared up with only his fists glowing golden. It was darker than light Qi due to it being full of intent.

Lind once more merely swung his arm as if it was insignificant to him and a bolt of lightning smashed into the man sending him barreling back down into the earth!

[TO ALL SILVERTHORN FANGS! I AM TRUE LORD LIND FREY AND I HAVE COME FOR YOU ALL!] Feng had her eyes bulged but then saw a new tear in space where another young woman came through.

It was Ilyria!

"You will both bear witness." A black shaft appeared in his hands before he dove into a not teething horde of transformed white tigers with silver fur on their bodies!

Lind transformed into his full dragon form. Some of the tigers were over 2 kilometers in length but the Shard Tier exploded back up at 5 kilometers in length. His paw was enough to crush a small village!

They came at him but they were like children. No call to Heaven, nor any use of his special access to elements were used. It was pure power!

They could not breach his scales nor could they stop him! Blood flew in the air as he shredded their hides like a hot knife through butter! His jaws snapped on legs and tails in equal measure but Feng noticed one thing that did not happen.

Not a single tiger died! She realized he was doing it on purpose as death was honorable but beating them like that was intentionally dishonorable!

"Uncle really does not suppress his rage." Feng could only nod as the emerald body sparked with the claws scratching at it to no avail. Why was his hide so tough?!

The battle raged for the better part of a day before the near 3000 tigers were flattened but alive on the now ravaged forest floor.

Not a single one could move and were only groaning while Lind was exhausted but completely unharmed!

They had attacked the Frey Clan, caused damage and crippled a few people as well as nearly killed Lind's son, but he just turned their entire clan into putty!

[I want the one that attacked my son. They are not here. You have 1 day.]

Space shifted once more and all 3 of them were back in his office. Feng had many questions but dared not ask. The one thing she did take from that last statement was that there were more Shard Tier white tigers!

The Celestial Fields was about to become very annoying!
