Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 912 - 911 - Dragon's Heart

Chapter 912 - 911 - Dragon's Heart

Lind was quite proud of himself. He was furious but had not lashed out. There were actually few buttons that could set him off irrationally but one of them was his children and the spirits help anyone that touches his grandchildren.

The idiocy of those fools in the former Alliance never stopped but the Celestial Fields had stabilized more than enough he simply wanted peace for a little longer.

Wolf Goddess Yue had followed his advice to strengthen her pack while Little Fluffy and Lis moved permanently to the Frey Clan once the chaos broke out.

Lis was now happily married with her own family and had a daughter named Hope. He was happy for her.

Little Fluffy had not found a mate but she honestly enjoyed protecting Lis' family. She also enjoyed being called Aunt Fluffy.

Most of his children had started their own families but some had not really found time for it. Mostly his children from Ethry, Kora, and Annabelle.

The last one was not surprising as too many fools had burned their chances by revealing their greed. Her children were stunningly beautiful and his own contribution of dragon blood only made it more powerful.

They were disillusioned with any pursuit of them due to that.

The other 2, however, stemmed from their rather unique perspective. His children were not normal aether beasts so their instincts were not as strong as they should be plus they never felt like they fit in either with humans or beasts.

Tal often poked fun at her siblings but if they mentioned how she was still single, they suffered from bouts of intense 'training' that no one dared repeat more than once.

A few centuries ago, Hei met Kyren when she came to discuss her Dao with Lind and Qing. Her legacy was complicated and she had no master to talk to anymore so she came to people she trusted.

It started a bit of interest Hei had never shown before but he was very shy. It had been adorable.

Ethry had wanted her son to get busy instantly but Lind assured him to take his time and if it did not work out, he would be there. Cultivators had a weird sense of propriety at times.

Regardless, Kyren seemed to reciprocate after a time but then things got busy for her running Rasker as it grew and Hei was not exactly unimportant to the clan.

Lind made time for him to go visit but he tried to interfere as little as possible.

Now, someone seemed hell bent on making him angry.

A sprinting set of steps came around the corner and a tight braid of red hair whipped around a pale skinned woman who was in high quality bronze robes. She was flushed and beautiful and Hei had to glance away or his instincts would take over.

The instant she saw Hei, Lind may as well have not existed.

"Hei. I–I did not know what to say but it was so sudden and–" Lind sensed the stress that was not there before. She had been working hard but showed no sign of regrets or stress before.

Cultivation gave time and now she was a Sliver Tier Immortal so she had loads of it.

Someone like her should be doing fine now, especially as there were now 3 generations of healers carrying on the legacy of Rasker.

She was talking to Hei non-stop but he used his eyes to dismiss the guards before isolating the room from any further arrivals.

"Kyren." He only spoke her name before she froze and then turned deep crimson before kneeling and kowtowing to him.

"Great Lord Frey! I beg your forgiveness. I should have told you first but I did not lead your son on. I truly care for him!" Her tears and voice already told him that but it did let his anger cool.

"Then explain. What is going on?" Silence descended until someone came inside his senses that was at the peak of the Shard Tier. Lind arched an eyebrow at the arrogance but did not stop them. He was curious to see who it was.

"Kyri, why did you run off? You know I don't allow such disrespect to me." A man with silver hair entered. He had fine robes of dark blue with an emblem of an alchemist on his right breast.

Lind narrowed his eyes to see it was grade 7 expert but lower than his own badge. The back of the robes had a cauldron in gold with 3 bolts of lightning coming out of it.

Things were coming together for him now.

"Lord Mordran, I had an important visitor arrive–" The mine held up a delicate hand and simply used his aura to silence her.

"No one is as important as me to you anymore. I thought I made it clear that once we are married you will adhere to our rules. The other women will also have to follow our rules. It will make Rasker a true healing power once that is fixed." Anger flashed on her face but she did not once ask for help.

Lind glanced at his son and saw a cold stare but nothing else.

It was an excellent demonstration of control despite strong emotions raging in him. Dragons were far worse than humans in that respect.

Lind stayed silent and waited for the fool to keep digging his grave.

"Now, these gentlemen need to make an appointment and if they pass our screening process we will meet them together. Follow me and stay silent." The man turned but before Kyren could move, she was freed from the restraints.

Black lightning then encircled her and 2 bracelets shattered that Lind had noticed previously. He hid a smirk at the silver haired man whipped around in shock.

"How dare you?! This woman is now mine. I rule Rasker as a true healer and will have to ask you to leave. You will be forbidden from ever setting foot in my city ever again!" Lind wondered how dull someone could be and still be Immortal but the man in front of him was setting new records.

He was not angry any more, just amused.

He never made a move as his son slowly helped Kyren up.

"He made you send that message?" She slowly nodded as tears fell before she grasped onto him. He patted her back and the fool lunged for them.

A black scaled claw slapped him away and finally snapped through the arrogance of the silver haired fool.

"A dirty beast?! What are you even doing in a human city? Those useless Elementals were bad enough, but a beast?!" Lind sighed but again only watched as his son's cold eyes stared and chose the fool's fate.

"Kyren belongs to no one. She is her own woman and this is her city. Your power will leave now or it will cease to exist!" Hei's voice was cold and calm. Anyone that knew him would warn their friends to not push him past that point.

Kyren knew that but Lind told her to stay silent and said not a thing. He had seen the future and would do nothing to stop it.

"You dare! The Golden God Alchemy Sect will cripple you! Your race will be hunted for their materials too! It will teach the beasts to stay in their place beneath the human race." Lind noted down that particular group name to be banned in the future.

It assumed some mercy from his son, but the idiot in front of them was not making that likely.

"No sect or kingdom can take over here! I will never allow my beloved to suffer so!" A wide smile spread across Lind's face as he dismissed the ward in time for black flames to send the silver haired man flying.

An alchemist is powerful but against a divine dragon in the same tier, they stood no chance at all!

The wall was ripped open by the body flying through it but the man was not dead. A defending artifact saved his life.

"Need any help?" Lind asked but Hei shook his head as he handed off Kyren to him.

"Keep her safe, Father, I will deal with this." Lind only nodded before walking back with Kyren through the paths to the main facilities at the heart of the Rasker city.

Thunderous sounds were heard but Lind protected the city from the waves. He observed his son transform and fill the sky with his snake-like black scaled body. He was now over 10 kilometers long.

The silver haired man, that Lind only just then realized he did not know the name of, was panicking. Several more blue robed men flew to the sky but one glance told Lind they were all fools.

"Will Hei be all right?" Lind smirked before squeezing her shoulders.

"Oh, I should think so. A dragon's heart is not wise to anger. We are not merciful after that." Kyren blushed before she began to smile.

"Kyren!" A voice he recognized came from in front of them as Julia was running with a young woman behind her. Thea had grown up well!

The 3 hugged and then the pair noticed Lind. Julia bowed low but Thea laughed and ran up to hug him.

Afterward, before a day had passed, the Golden God Alchemy Sect had not only been kicked out but lost an entire generation of elders at the Immortal Realm when Hei was done.

Lind realized he was not needed anymore. Hei was actually one of the weaker children in many ways but if their enemies could not stand up to him alone, then the clan was perfectly safe.

It was time to consider the future and probably prepare for retaliation for when he was gone.

He became a bit grim as it would not be peaceful soon. Blood would flow and he would have to leave a stark impression on the Celestial Fields.

The short adventure proved to him it was time to advance his plans.
