Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 876 - 875 - Taking Control

Chapter 876 - 875 - Taking Control

The first thing Lind took over was not the conversion process but the overflow formations. He straight up wiped them out with his harmonic Qi and replaced them with weavings that shimmered like the sun.

They were beautiful and could regulate the power for a time. He would need all he could get.

Once he was sure they were settled and backed up by a few more weavings to be safe, he looked at the flow of energy nervously. It was like a reverse waterfall but the sheer power in it would rip apart anyone.

He did not hold back as he grew in size. His scales covered his body as his horns protruded from his head. His body could not reach its full potential inside the space but it was enough.

He flew into it and immediately felt pain. He lit up like a Christmas tree as emerald light blazed in sparks and thrummed around him. It was like trying to go against the stream but only being a minnow!

He inched forward until he finally saw the central weaving at the heart of the processor.

He had to start just around it before taking over. So he had to do it from inside the stream! He had no time to pause and examine it as he shattered the circle around the center.

The power went wild!

Emerald light flared and shattered it but it was already cracking! He worked faster than he ever had before in his life! If he did not finish by the time his weavings broke down, everyone died!

It seemed like the traces were mocking him as they connected so slowly to each sigil. Time became a variable to him without meaning as he only focused on completing his task.

After an eternity where one weaving after another cracked and fell apart to almost total failure on the outside, the black sigils were finally replaced with gold!

The flow was restored!

It was converting once more but now Lind could exchange the main weaving at the center! He wasted no time and shattered it!

The power overflowed once more but unlike last time he swiftly connected his own soul to the weavings he had created. It was far more swift and easy.

Barely a moment and he was once more restoring the natural flow. He barely felt it course through him as the weavings were taking the brunt of it at the moment. The most dangerous part was over!

Now the long slog began!

He very slowly expanded his weavings to replace each aspect of the processor. If the central part was still intact, it would have ripped itself apart but with his soul and mind, he guided the flow of energies each time to other areas to keep it stable.

It felt vile to continue to process the realm as he was but he had no choice until he was fully ready.

It took a week to complete the work and he was exhausted, but being part of the mechanism offered more protection than expected.

He used the last of his elixirs from a pouch he kept in his mouth.

He was finally ready.

He closed his eyes and pictured all his loved ones. He saw the rolling hills of grass and ancient forests with deserts, seas, and life everywhere.

It would return!

His sliver flared as he gave commands. The flow of energy above changed. Rather than going straight up, it was now changing shape!

It was coming back down!

He had decided to replace the destructive wave with life! It was a gamble but it was better than the alternative!

Pain began to lance through his body as the wild energy did not want to bend to his will but he endured it. It was not so bad.

His scales were cracking already from the continued exposure to the broken energy from the realm. Now, blood began to slowly flow as the processor's full load fell on him!

His body was enduring as expected but his soul and mind were an entirely different matter!

As expected, they were not strong enough! He focused his will to his goal alone. He discarded everything else.

He was not living past that moment so nothing else mattered. The soul that survived inspired him.

Pain unlike anything he had ever endured began to shred his sanity but his sole goal never wavered. He made that vital column of energy return!

It was slowly coming back down from above and closing in on the artifact! Once it made contact, the 2 energies would collide and his true moment would come. He had to survive to that point!

Cracks on his soul began to appear but energy flowed from his body to repair it! He had no idea it could do that but welcomed the help!

Not a sound crossed his lips as he simply endured. His emerald eyes were glowing and saw only 1 thing, the column of vital energy transforming into a dome that began to enclose the artifact!

It was so damn slow and hard but he refused to give up!

The once barren valley below the artifact sprung back to life just from a whiff of the vital energy. It was coming back to life!

Lind did not get distracted as the movement of the vital energy was slowing. It was not resistance, but the limit of his ability!

He was not a God and not as strong as the being that made the thing he was in. Still, his eyes flared and he grew in size as he forced the weavings to work. Emerald light flared in all directions and backed down the processed black energy!

It reached the raw storage and shifted back out to the 3 spheres!

They began to weaken and the vital energy advanced. Move damn it! Keep moving!

The sound of glass breaking was faintly heard and some of the raw refiners went dark but Lind did not stop.

The octahedron began to tilt slightly yet it did not fall.

The vital energy finally broke through some kind of resistance and slammed into the ground!

Life sprang up in a storm only to die near the spheres. The energies were running wild and back into Lind!

The stress lifted a bit but came slamming back at that point!

His body now rained blood but his eyes never stopped even as one went blind!

[NOW! BREAK!] The last 2 words he ever thought flew along his weavings inside the processor the vortex shattered! The 2 energies freely collided and headed straight for him!

Life and destruction were going to wipe him from existence, but first, he had to give it a purpose!

A clear picture formed in his mind as the processor lens shattered and energy ran wild around the artifact exterior.

Storms suddenly surged in the skies above. Heaven could see again! It was pissed off!

As soon as it started, the storms paused as it held back its wrath. Something was happening and it dared not interfere. It felt the plea from one of its special children. A plea for life!

The octahedron shattered apart as the weavings of golden sigils expanded at their master's command. A massive emerald dragon appeared in horrible shape at the heart of it and a storm of power beyond any sane level was ripping apart its soul.

A single emerald eye glowed with fierce purpose as he finally opened his maw.

"ROOOOOAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!" The dome of oblivion was shattered in a single moment as life flew out in all directions!

A dragon roar shook the Heavens without end as the wave moved outward and restored what had been destroyed so long ago.

Heaven added its power to the wave and Qi bloomed once more!

The Celestial Fields were reborn!

Lind held on, he could not stop until the wave was done. His senses carried on it and he saw everything! He saw tiny pockets of life that had been spared like the temple lands and further!

He saw the myriad Sacred Paths! He saw the life inside tremble in fear until the vitality washed over them!

Live damn it, I command you all to live!

His aura was infused into the wave and all living beings felt it. A True Lord gave a command and they were only too happy to obey!

Darkness was closing in but Lind dragged every bit of endurance out of his soul. It was fractured in so many places but he held it together by will alone.

His mind had only 1 focus, all else had been sacrificed to keep him alive!

The wave swept outward faster and faster until the outlands were reached!

He saw them! He saw the wolves, Little Fluffy, and the rest! The wave washed over them and his final act happened.

The flawed foundations of every living being were repaired! He gave them back their lives!

Death was coming but he looked up and tried to pierce the skies to his enemy. Rage boiled in him. All the suffering that thing had inflicted had been undone!

"RRROOOOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRRRRRR! I will see you in Hell!" Lind screamed in the last roar of his life!
