Chapter 786 - 785 - Immortal Lind Frey
Chapter 786 - 785 - Immortal Lind Frey
The skies finally returned to normal. The Qi, however, was not. It was still collecting into the Sands of Tribulation to the point it became visible to all!
At the heart of it was a prone figure with no clothes on but he was different. His well chiseled body exuded a level of power even unconscious that distorted even the storm of Qi.
An emerald glow began to spread over his tanned limbs as his now purely emerald hair flew wildly in the wind.
His face was still recognizable but it had changed to a far more fierce look that anyone familiar with Ethry would recognize.
Lind had shed the last of his humanity physically and was now a dragon in human form.
His eyes snapped open but there was no consciousness in them, only emerald light!
He slowly stood up as the storm of Qi seemed to dance in excitement. The sun in the sky also seemed to become brighter but only over Lind.
His arms began to move like he was a conductor at a concert and the streams of Qi flew into coherent tendrils that impacted into the shimmering ground around him. In only a short time, the entirety of the ascension pool changed.
There were hundreds of thousands of tiny tendrils finely woven into it until a cracking sound was heard.
Every Immortal, in all directions, snapped their vision towards Lind but they could not see through the now highly complex Qi streams around him.
A massive area was invisible to even Shard Tiers as more of them began to arrive in the air around it.
The forces guarding Lind were still there but due to Aldar's betrayal, they were spread thin.
Even so, none felt like fighting or even trying to pierce it as a feeling came over them all. A silvery tendril slowly began to rise out of the heart of the Qi complex as it began to thin! They knew that that was!
It rose off into the sky until at some point the sky rippled and a breeze came through that broke the spell of awe.
It was not a breath of Immortal Qi, but tepid and vile air! It was stale! Frowns crossed all their faces but the overpowering feeling thinned out as it spread outward as Qi stormed upward!
The newly heavily refined Qi increased the circumference of the silvery connection until it was the size of 5 people standing next to each other.
Only then did the complex Qi structure disappear and a single being stepped out of the ascension pool.
He had no clothes on but one glance made all the hairs stand on edge of everyone that saw him. His eyes were glowing emerald and his body was extremely well muscled.
Power flowed off of him even at a distance and it terrified them all!
Only when the glow vanished and he went to collapse, did 2 figures shoot forward.
Annabelle and Kora picked him up and their forces quickly followed. Several Nautilus Class skyships appeared quickly to take them all back to the Sanctuary Empire.
"I knew he could do it." Soltara was crying as she felt a pressure lift off of her body. Lind had freed her but she still felt the need to ascend deep inside her Soul Core. She could shed her current Core but then impressions came to her.
Pain, terror, and death. It was a tidal wave that made her weep! Every instinct she had told her she would die if she ascended still! Why?!
[Lower World. We feel the connection has been restored but do not ascend. Only death awaits any of you up here. You should have felt it by now. There is no future in the Celestial Fields and our death is already assured. Live and survive where you are.]
A powerful aura flew out from the pool and all could tell it was a peak Shard Tier. The skyships suddenly stopped.
A hatch opened and a simple white robed Lind was taken out. He was clearly just awakened but his aura spiked enough for all to feel it.
[With respect, senior, I have been told all my life there is no future for me and yet I am still going forward. I will not let others die for me to learn if it is safe but I am coming. I have sworn to keep going no matter what. I opened the connection for that very reason. Unless you kill me now, I am coming.]
A cold sweat broke out on all the Immortals present as they could feel anger coming through the pool but then were shocked when the Heavens rumbled!
Even Lind looked surprised.
[It seems the decision is out of both our hands. Heaven and Earth protect the connection. I say again, do not ascend or you will only find death. There is hardly any Sky Realm Qi, let alone Immortal Qi. I leave you to your own fates. Your deaths are no longer my concern.]
The aura vanished and many wondered if they should chance it but their own instincts warned them. Something was wrong.
So many wanted to flee to a higher realm to escape the war but their instincts honed over thousands of years warned them. The words were not empty but a true danger was above them.
Lind bowed and his ships left once more. He made no other opinion known but did not prevent anyone that wanted to go.
A storm of meetings began as well as many other actions to safeguard the newly reconnected ascension pool. The fact Lind Frey had a worldwide tribulation was quickly dismissed to that greater matter.
It allowed him to slip away from a lot of false celebrations for those trying to ingratiate to him as well as trying to get the final keys to help their own 6 elementals become Immortals. Yet all of that was lost in the frenzy of the changed world situation.

Lind recovered startlingly fast. He had gotten taller slightly but was still human as far as that went. His reflexes, strength, and speed were just insane before he even tried to use Qi to enhance them.
His sliver was also startling as well. He sparred with his wives and none of them could keep up anymore. Even taking on all of them at once with Fey and Tal helping them did not make any difference.
He simply had a stunning level of control, capacity, and power in battle that left all Immortals in the dust. He also suspected it was only partially due to being a Divine Dragon.
There was only one way to confirm it but it would take time. Despite trying to put what he had learned into jade slips, he found it would not work like in the past.
The Immortal Realm was unique to each cultivator. Laws helped narrow the focus but 6 elementals had a unique issue he could not address in a universal way. The harmonies.
He was the only data point and it was not enough because he had learned so much about himself but he could never know someone else to such an extent. Even Kexin or Tessa, who could be considered the closest ones to him in the present, were far beyond his comprehension.
The other changes were to his hair and eyes. His hair was now pure emerald but it was not technically hair anymore. It was more like a fine crystal that was flexible rather than hair.
He realized it was closer to his mane in dragon form.
His eyes had also had a permanent change. Normally, he had to consciously turn on his Heaven Eyes, but they were now Immortal Eyes and never stopped. It was no drain on his mind nor his Qi to do so. It was also the same with his Touch.
It was no longer conscious at all. There were some records of Talents doing so for other Immortals but never to the extent Lind currently had. They usually gained some lesser version permanently, not an improvement!
"Emperor, how are you feeling?" Shi and Kin came into his training room. The dummies were shattered pieces of wood and stone.
"I am much better. Did all my instructions get completed?" They both nodded. He smiled at that and grabbed a towel to wipe himself down.
He had worked himself hard to see if he could find his limits but the materials and dummies were just insufficient to really find it.
"What did Linghu say?" Shi smirked as she tossed him a jade slip.
[You are insane, Master.]
He smiled but knew it was his way of wishing Lind luck.
"Well, I have a dinner with my family then I need to make some announcements." They again both nodded but looked sad that time. He smiled and patted both their heads. Both women stared daggers at him but did not stop him.
"We have all come far but I will admit I will miss this." His words cracked their stare and their eyes glistened. "None of that now. I will see you all again, I promise."
Lind then turned and left the room as the 2 women reached for each other as their emotions were let loose. He quietly set up the wards to let them express themselves freely without being interrupted.
Lind moved through the various halls of his palace for the last time as come the morning he started a new mission. He was leaving the Heaven Realm forever.
Come the next dawn, he would be going to the Celestial Fields to see what he could find out and see what could be done. In his eyes was the dark shadow as well of his enemy. He would finally see what that thing had done to the Celestial Fields and learn what can be done.
He sighed as he felt his heart heavy with guilt that he would miss the birth of his new child but it was also possible others could come in the future as his wives had made him agree to a certain level of activity tonight that made him blush.
"Good-bye, Sanctuary Empire." Lind entered his family area and put on a smile as the smell of good food and rambunctious voices could be heard. It was time to say good-bye to his family for a time too.
