Chapter 746 - 745 - It's Raining Laws
Chapter 746 - 745 - It's Raining Laws
Lind spent a good month getting to know Eldrian and happily his new son bonded to him like glue! Lysanna even pouted but then got hugs so he suspected she did it on purpose!
He also caught up with the rest of his family and noticed that all his wives, for a massive change, were far behind him in Laws.
When he made the suggestion of training with them, he was nearly buried in the rush to say yes.
It would also help him with the storm of traces still inside his dantian. From what he gathered, he was unusual in that regard but he suspected the other 6 elementals could face similar issues.
It would also help him study what Laws were completed in his own dantian during the silver lightning strikes.
It was not wrong to consider himself a half-step Immortal but all that meant was he was comprehending Laws that gave him some increase in power but not nearly as much as one would think.
Peak Sun Tiers could still easily take him down if they wanted nevermind full Immortals.
In any case, Lind started with Cyntilla. Demon Laws were supposedly very different from his own but once they started, it was like a waterfall.
As he spoke about comprehending the fundamental forces behind essence and other Laws, Cyntilla suddenly went into enlightenment!
She was in that state for nearly a week when she came out of it immensely stronger than before! The traces were now Laws woven into her lavender sun! A week! That was it took for Cyntilla to finalize her Laws and prepare to ascend!
If it was just her, he could write it off but it was far from that!
Qing, Shoti, Annabelle, Lysanna, Ethry, Kora, Tal, and anyone he spoke with, it seemed like he just answered their missing questions.
Once the pieces were filled in or an example of how he arrived at the Law comprehension he had, they all went into enlightenment! What was going on?
The final person he wanted to try it out on was one that was similar to him.
Kexin had come up late to the Heaven Realm but the battles and other events seemed to spur on her harmony of Domination. She breezed through Moon Tier like others were standing still and crushed the Sun Tier as if it was unable to slow her down.
Still, the Law Traces were immense once she began looking at them. She had made some progress but Laws were not as forthcoming as they were to others.
"You do realize if it gets out you can make anyone jump to the Immortal Realm after one session, it will cause a storm we are not ready for?" Kexin had several scars on her face and body that could not heal.
Even with Lind's elixirs or special abilities, they had simply healed for too long to undo them. Still, she held them with pride. Only Kal possibly matched her in raw ability to fight from what he had heard.
"I rather think everyone has benefitted from asking questions of the other Immortals who were taught by Linghu and Lanbao. None of them have held back but maybe they simply aren't experienced enough to teach yet." His words were not without merit.
Many cultivators could carry themselves up through the realms but when it came to teaching or helping others, they could not convey the very things they had grasped. Lind, on the other hand, was a scholar of great depth and experience.
He had been teaching for most of his life when not ruling. Even as Emperor, he did not hold back nor deny knowledge to those that asked for it.
"You will be the first 6 elemental I truly help, so we will see what happens." They both assumed the lotus position.
"Laws vary so simply listen to what I have." Lind then concentrated on his dantian as he carefully picked out what he wanted to touch on.
"The Law of Battle is not one that exists but the Laws of Intent and Aura do exist." He had comprehended those and since they shared them, he felt it a good idea to start there. "Intent is tied to weapons but it is deeper than that. It is the desire to become one and extend the will through the world. Weapons are easiest for this…"
Lind expounded on Intent for a time but the gist was similar to learning it. The Law actually applied to understanding that at the base of all weapons, Intent was the same. Kexin nodded slowly but was clearly still with him so he continued.
"The Law of Aura is more complicated. Most cultivators mistake Aura as an extension of Intent when really we are understanding that our will can be expanded beyond the limits of our body and weapons…"
The Law of Aura and achieving aura were damned similar save in one respect. The Law touched on other wills acting on the world and how aura had to strive to be both apart and yet part of the world around them.
If one cannot command their aura, they will forever be subject to the aura of the world and others. The Law struck on that balance so far as Lind had grasped it.
Kexin's eyes glazed over for a moment but she was back once more. He seemed to have helped so he decided to continue.
"A Living Law is at the heart of my harmony. While I do not know all of it, I have touched on a part of it. The origin of life…" He spoke of his revelations of what a harmony was and how it progressed.
His theory had born out from the few 6 elementals he had been able to examine. Some were like him and Kexin, their harmonies were potent and powerful laws. Not all were Living Laws but there was a possibility a few could become one.
Kexin had a Law at the heart of her harmony. The Law of Domination was actually known but never fully explored. Her harmony was the next step up from normal cultivators!
The instant he outlined that, he lost her. They had been talking for a few days yet the result seemed similar.
He observed very carefully the changes in her but unlike the others, he could not make out the Laws swirling in her dantian so clearly.
Still, after a week of power gathering, she suddenly had the heaviness of Heaven gather over her in a stunning display.
Compared to his family and friends, Kexin's result was startling.
She not only grasped her own Law, but clearly had stumbled onto the key to grasping all the Laws inside her!
Lind stood guard but looked up in a little bit of both frustration and awe.
Was that what it was like when he comprehended all of his production related Laws? He felt no danger but others did.
Laws were powerful and weaker cultivators would be driven far from any phenomenon related to them.
The other powers noted the disturbance but as it was likely time for more Immortals to start breaking through, they did not get too worried about it.
One more Immortal was not that big of a deal.
If only they knew the storm about to be unleashed around the Sanctuary Empire.
Any doubt Lind had about the changes to himself and how he understood Laws was put to rest. He was still studying his own dantian and had farther to go, but it seemed his understanding was far deeper than he realized.
He suspected the silver lightning and his conversations with Lanbao, Soltara, and Balgorn had also pushed him ahead in that regard. It was as if his very voice carried the key to unlocking Law comprehension!
It was terrifying but limited. If a cultivator had no Law Traces at all, there was no way LInd could help them. Also, if they only brushed the surface of the Laws inside their Dao, they would not magically get more from listening to him.
The pressure around Kexin stayed that way for weeks before the pressure finally vanished. When she came out of it, he felt immense pressure from her but it slowly dispersed as clarity returned.
"That was–amazing!" She had struggled for years to make progress once she began to perceive the Law Traces but it had been as if all the restraints had been removed! She had not been spoon fed the Laws but her mind shifted and saw them in a new way.
"Stabilize your foundation and then, I guess, prepare to break through." Lind scratched the side of his cheek. How would he explain this to the other powers?
He then shrugged and began to make a plan. He wanted to be careful as holding a Dao Conference could actually be disastrous. It was not impossible that 6 elementals were going to be like Kexin but she had already been close.
It was a feeling but he suspected those that only had aspect harmonies could actually suffer if he tried to help them.
He began to draw up rules and criteria for those that wished to learn from him. He was that dangerous and he did not want people beating down his door. He also smirked at benefits the Empire could garner yet he restrained that thought.
Members of his Empire was one thing, but helping others had limits. It would need Lysanna and Cyntilla to give him a clear picture of the political landscape as he only had a few decades under his belt as Emperor in the wider world.
Best not to light a fire he could not handle. Lind began to head back to his rooms but then froze. He and Kexin both snapped their heads to the edges of the Empire.
A massive tribulation cloud was gathering and they recognized who it was.
Cyntilla was breaking through.
