Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 739 - 738 - Wrath of Lind Frey

Chapter 739 - 738 - Wrath of Lind Frey

He was in terrible pain.  He had nothing to stop the assault on his dantian and body.  His dragon scales, so powerful against his enemies before, were glass to just the projection in front of him.

Fiends were weak to him.  Any doubt about the absurd strength he enjoyed against them had been hammered home in a single crushing defeat.  Immortals were far more powerful than he had expected.

He had sparred with Lanbao and Linghu but they held back more than he had imagined.  Lanbao also was instinctively reduced in strength due to their bloodline differences.

He had become arrogant or at least over confident in his ability to fight above his realm.

The source of his heart demon was so clear to him now.  He believed he could win due to being a dragon and pioneer in his field of 6 elemental development.  He had not become mad with power, but fallen for the trap of his success.

The struggles never stopped him, which was good, but he never conceived of losing as he finally walked up to the Heaven Realm itself.  His ability to defeat Fiends so handily also led to him feeling superior to others.

He had walked into an obvious trap with a humbled look but deep down, he had always assumed he could escape or overcome his enemies.

He had been proven very wrong!

Then, just as had happened so many times before, Heaven interfered.  He was still conscious when the first bolt of silver lightning struck him.

All the pain faded away after that.  Instead, he felt his Qi flow faster but then he was attacked even more viciously.

The process repeated but he had no idea what was going on or why but the silver lightning was beneficial to him.  It was so helpful but then he felt angry.

It was a cheat.  It was from Heaven, but it was clearly forcing him to advance.  He wanted to fight it but he may as well have been a fly running into a windshield.

On one side, his enemy was trying to rip him apart while on the other, Heaven was 'helping' him because he was too weak to take care of it.

After the booming voice came through, he recognized it.

He had heard it before!  It was the same voice back when he defeated the cannibalistic Inheritance.  It was the strange being that came for the twisted creator of the Inheritance as Lind lay dying.

He felt his rage finally cut free.  Rage at the Immortal Elemental that treated him like an object was bad enough, but he was also angry at Heaven.

A Divine Being wronged him?  That was all that was felt about the 2 instances against him?  All those demons were left to die but nothing was done for them?!

He suspected there was more to it.  He suspected it had to do with him being reborn and guided by Divine Realms at that point.

He then hit some standard or maybe it really was a different version of karma.  The truth did not matter to Lind as his anger finally found its true target.

He was angry at himself.  He was angry at how weak he was compared to his enemies.  He was angry at how many lives were in his hands but he could only negotiate their safety while others wanted to use them.

He was angry at the world for treating his path as its own concern and not his.

"ENOUGH!  NO MORE!"  Emerald flames rose like a column as it exploded out of him.  The clouds rumbled as his bloodline raged in his veins.  His newly created peak Sun Tier level began to stabilize as if Lind willed it to be.

The various Elementals felt a tremor in the air.  Suddenly a vast dragon appeared in the sky.  It was easily filling the entirety of the sky and more than just the Elementals felt the power from it.

Its gigantic emerald eyes were cold as they looked down but none felt life from that creature.  It was Lind alone that had the source as his own eyes opened in his much smaller dragon body.

He was always growing larger as a dragon but now he became much more powerful as well.

"Disperse, only Immortals are to stay!"  His voice shook the air and ground like a great storm but the Heaven Realm and below left quickly.  Soltara and Balgorn projected clearly around him.

He glanced at them and nodded but he then locked on not to Ulta's projection, but her real body.

"No need to stay away, you wanted to use me, then come here!"  The sound of something breaking was heard before the projection dispersed as Ulta was slammed into the ground.  She had no way to resist!

Silver lightning sparks burned her body!

[You are an ant–]  She was slammed under the massive claw of Lind.  He stared down at her as smoke curled from his mouth.

"Less making it worse and just sit there."  His aura was peak Sun Tier but it felt a lot more terrifying.

He looked out and saw many projections.  Overall, there were close to 20 some Immortals in the village.  It was not a small number at all for a single village, yet it told him that Soltara was right about the risks of advancing for Elementals.

"I had no intention of coming to the village beyond learning and maybe sharing an alliance with you all when I arrived.  I enjoyed teaching and I learned a great deal.  I was also understanding your distrust, but a line has been crossed I cannot let pass!"  He was calmer but then got angry as he spoke.

Artifacts began to appear as space was no longer locked down.  They created several feelings of danger as lightning, tornadoes, and other weather Arts appeared before Lind's eyes glowed like 2 suns and slammed into a giant storm in the sky!

The storm was like the wrath of Heaven and Earth yet the emerald clouds made it clear where it came from.

[NO!]  Ulta screamed as the sound of shattered crystal came to them.  Melar, Uri, and Elara disappeared but no one died as they appeared quickly looking very unstable.

"You have hidden away to stay alive.  That is not a problem but you have forgotten the fear of death until it is too late.  You think your hatred enables you to treat others like tools but there are consequences for acting against people.  If you are not prepared to die, do not attempt to kill!"  His words were accentuated with a massive sword made of emerald light appearing next to him.

It was far weaker than his aura but before anyone could react, bolts of emerald lighting flew out to each of the Immortals physically there.

Some thought it was an attack but it was not.  It was a Law.

All 4 Immortals screamed in pain but they were not dying so far as anyone could tell.

Emerald light flowed over the 6 other colors of elements in their flesh.  After a time, they settled but all felt shocked as they observed them.

"I know there is another that was involved with them but they did not act against me.  Do not test me."  Lind's cold tone made all shiver as they realized what had happened to the 4 Solid Realms on the ground.

[W–w–what have you done to me?]  Ulta whispered from under his claws.  The dragon snout closed in on her and the smile made all feel fear.

"You wanted to live longer with freedom.  Congratulations.  All 4 of you are free for the rest of your days."  The sky rumbled  as 4 bolts of white lightning slammed into each of them and blasted them to the edge of the clearing.

"As you can see, there are now restrictions on their Soul Cores.  While I am not able to do much against Immortal dantians and Qi, a soul is a very different thing.  I am a grade 7 weaver!"  All 20 of his claws flared with emerald Qi as he engraved into the very air and sigils blazed.

Before anyone could react, a massive dome expanded over the entire village.  Every Immortal suddenly felt the strain pulling them vanish in an instant.

"If you all thought I did not have any gripes with the rest of you, I think this will make it clear.  No Immortal can leave save those 4.  In fact, they have to leave within 3 days or they will suffer an acceleration of their cultivation."  Fear spread on all 4 as they felt the truth while the other Immortals realized they had been caged.

As if that was enough, Lind roared to the sky and the Heavens gathered power at his command.  Only then did any doubters understand he was not a human, but a Divine Bloodline of dragons!

The lightning above was a strange color none had seen as it was a shining golden but it was far brighter than light Qi.  It also left them feeling in awe as it almost gently touched down on Soltara and Balgorn.

Something changed in them as their bodies suddenly appeared!  The sound of crystal shattering was also heard but then the shards flew over from afar to become part of the lightning bolts.

Balgorn was very young so it was hard to see the changes but Soltara had been reaching the end of her days.  Now, she looked young!

Lind collapsed suddenly as his body acted like thunder as it fell to the ground but he was still awake.

"The Heavens were gracious to indulge me but I have granted complete freedom to these 2.  Banishment to those 4 will have them face the world without the refuge they have abused.  The rest of you are now able to move around but still cannot leave.  Never to leave again, in fact."  He began to shrink until he was an exhausted human once more with a black staff in his hands.

"You will all live out your days here and teach the next generation why you will die here.  The next generations will not be bound as that weaving is tied to all of you."  His words made many want to complain but the pressure of Heaven was still there.

[You are not one of us!  You are an ant!]  The voice of Ulta cracked as she screamed but she looked shocked as none of her Qi responded!  Why couldn't she do anything?

"Ah yes, that is a gift not from me but from that lightning.  Unlike retribution or restitution, Divine Karma is very specific.  You are not being punished, you are simply made into nothing!"  His anger was loud and clear.

The clouds cleared as he stood weakly but his eyes terrified them all.

"Leave, now, or pay the price."  He then lost the last of his strength but a newly renewed Soltara picked him up and carried him off.  Balgorn simply shrugged and followed after them.

The rest were left with the consequences of their actions and the realization of one thing.  Lind Frey was not a being to cross, ever.  He did not kill you.  He wrought a punishment that would leave you with all your life to consider how screwed you were.
