Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 732 - 731 - Opposition

Chapter 732 - 731 - Opposition

Soltara looked at the human dragon progenitor.  Her body was improving even as she sat there but she was fascinated by what she saw.  Lind Frey was gathering natural and demonic Qi at the same time.

How was he doing that?  She truly did not know how he was doing that.  He was a progenitor but she had never heard of 2 elemental systems being incorporated into a single being.

She also felt something familiar just out of her range of detection around him but she did not pry too much.

She did not mention it but he did far better than she expected.  The revelation of his harmony was already something beyond his realm but he handled it quite well.  Most Sun Tiers would suffer deviation if they had grasped a Law like that.

His endurance of the rest was quite remarkable since both his mind and soul were quite worn down based on what she could tell.

His recovery ability was higher than most dragons she could recall from her Soul Path memory.  She only had Ethry for an actual comparison in her own lifetime.

[He should be made to leave.]

A voice she had grown very irritated with once more intruded but at least he respected her space finally.

[I already chose to invite him here.  You have twice disrespected me while trying to say you were defending me.  Your poor experience only grants you so much leeway.]

Her telepathic message was cold as she was still angry.

[He has come, now he should leave.  He helped you but that was likely a trick to take advantage of us.]

She shook her head at his stubbornness.

[Melar, your bias is blinding you from what he can do for us.  He has more potential than I hoped.  He walks the path of the song we lost so long ago.]

She implored him but the expected response came back as an angry wave she had to shield Lind Frey from.

[IMPOSSIBLE!  CULTIVATORS ARE THIEVES!  THEY ARE ALL SELFISH MONSTERS!}

A long tired sigh came from Soltara.

"You have not changed in all this time, Melar.  There are more people than those that hurt us."  She spoke aloud but she knew he heard her as his anger spiked once more but then was suddenly cut off.

She smirked as a familiar presence appeared in her room.  It was another woman but Soltara did not trust her much more as she took actions to protect Lind Frey.

"Melar has but one mood, as you well know senior.  It is your situation and I am glad you are feeling better."  Soltara did not believe a word of it but kept her smile up.  "The human–"

"Dragon, he is a Divine Dragon Progenitor."  The woman's eyes narrowed as she stared harder at Lind.  Soltara was surprised at how easy it was to resist not just one but 3 different aura's all at once.

She had not fully explored all the changes in her body but she felt far more stable than any time before in her life.

She looked at her only official guest who seemed just as surprised that Soltara was repelling them all at once.

"I beg pardon for my disrespect."  She then vanished suddenly which made Soltara actually smile.

"You don't change much either Uri.  So, Elara, are you going to speak or just keep spying?"  A presence retracted but Soltara knew she was just as annoyed as the other 2 yet none of them knew Lind had been a dragon until she revealed it.

If they had known, they would have never let him in but had been more respectful.  Afterall, the reason the dragons were all dead in the Heaven Realm was due to the Elementals.

One of the reasons she invited Lind Frey was for that very reason.  She wanted to apologize for what was given with no return.  Still, she watched over him until a different group showed up.

She sent out her senses and saw several Heaven Realms had come.

"So, this is how you will express your displeasure now."  Their guilt made them pull back but the younger generation was not so constrained.  Just as with the other races, many Solid Realms took in the younger generation to guide them but Soltara had retired.

She would be dead soon so taking in more followers was pointless.

Still, she was highly revered as the oldest but there were no prospects to take her Soul Core when she died.  It made her sad her core would end with her.

The Heaven Realms seemed to mull over speaking as she knew they felt her aura.

[Mama!]

One of the World Realms spoke up and she smiled as she gently grasped it in her aura.  It giggled until it finally relaxed enough to speak.

[Why is Papa angry at nice man?] Soltara was surprised how the child described Lind.  She felt the Heaven Realms did not share the opinion but they had more experiences and memories inside them.

The farther and Elemental advanced, the more characteristics they picked up from their elders.  Prejudice was quite literally being bred into their race with each generation.

[Melar simply needs some time.  There are no universally bad races nor good, but a mix of both members in all races.]

She had to use images and concepts to help the Soul and World Realms even grasp her words, but the Sky Realm and above could grasp them on their own.  It was better for them to figure it out.

[Safe.]

A Soul Realm baby conveyed its experience but it came out as a word for Soltara that made her smile.  Lind's initial actions actually made a strong positive impression on the new generation.

[Yes, he is very nice.  He loves teaching and learning.  He is a dragon too!]

She conveyed the awe inspiring image of dragons but before she could do much more, she felt a change in the Heaven Realms.

They felt disgruntled and clearly had things to say.

[Young ones, I will play with you later.  If you want, I can ask the nice man to play as well.]  She saw them get excited before all but the Sky and Heaven Realms left.

[Honored one, a cultivator cannot be trusted.  He is a danger to us…]  One of the Heaven Realms began but Soltara simply let the words wash over her.  It was clearly just Melar or Uri's opinion but Elara would likely be more subtle not too far off in the future.

[What did we swear to the spirits of Heaven and Earth when the last dragon saved our ancestors?]  Her question stopped the flow of words.  There was no way they did not know but they were reluctant to speak about it.

Her pressure increased before they finally spoke up.

[For using their life force to create our safe haven in the heart of Gaia, we swore to call all dragons friends.]  Soltara knew the words were said but she felt the lack of belief in their thoughts.

Her ripple of anger made them all shiver but she should not vent at them.  They did not know any better.

[He is my guest.  Any rudeness to him will be rudeness to me.]  They left her temple entrance but it made her sad how few of her people had an open mind.

She returned to focusing on her guest when she felt shocked.

Lind had been simply cultivating, but now he was floating!  Why was he floating?!

It was neither flight from his dragon ability nor air Qi doing it.  What was going on?!

She tried to grasp it when she felt the presence of a Law!  She had never learned that Law so she could only tell it was a Law causing the floating effect.  What was happening to him?

She tried to pry into it a bit but then felt a change come over her.  Her vitality was increasing!  She had lost about 300 years after all the changes he brought about, but now she was getting it back!

A century was nothing to an Immortal but now she felt like all the aches in her body were fading.  What had he said, the origin of life was a part of his Living Law if she recalled correctly.  The effect he was having on her was not possible with cultivators but Elementals worked differently.

They were essentially spiritual and elemental Qi.

His harmony was like a fountain of synergy and renewal for Qi!

She sat across from him as she wanted to control the process when his eyes shot open for a moment and fear filled her.  The pressure coming from those eyes was not a Sun Tier at all!

They looked at her and she felt like a bug until the face softened for a moment before they closed again.

What just happened?!  What was that feeling?  She was about to wake him up when she slowly realized her temple had changed.  It was still cracked, but now looked much better than before.

Her vision became watery suddenly and she realized she was crying.  She was alive!  She had more time!

A chill went down her body as she recalled those eyes.  Just what had Lind Frey touched on in that moment?  She looked over and saw he was once more back on the ground but looked pale.

He was pulling in elemental Qi once more but she wondered if the moment would occur again or he would simply awaken normally.  She looked forward to asking him many questions when he woke up!
