The weight on his dantian was gone! His Qi was flying into him but the craziest thing was the glowing gate still going strong behind him.
He infused his Law into the Law Binding to give him the power to create a Law Gate! He had been unable to do it consciously but Linghu gave him a chance his soul used! He was a Divine Progenitor tied to Heaven and Earth.
Just like inviting Heavenly Wrath or even feeling the joy in his tribulations, his most fervent wish at that moment was heard!
He could not become an Immortal, but he did have a Law in him, a Living Law it seemed.
He had been a fool not to see all the oddities happening in the Law Binding let alone the various events that seemed to only happen due to the Law Binding listening to him when it should not.
He had no time to really enjoy his return as he saw a burning wreck around the Moebius Sect. The city that had grown to the limit of the floating landmass had been flattened.
He razed all the Sky Realm and below Fiends he could catch as he sensed a large force hiding out. He let his emerald flames spread but saw dark distortions stop his attack.
His eyes narrowed as that told him something was odd. The Fiends, even the Shard Tier, had been terrified of his Qi before.
So why were they able to stop him now?
He felt several shifts in the air but his body moved like lightning to avoid something trying to hit him.
He sent out a few more blasts but he also conjured several clouds to obscure the mountain he came from. His sneer as a dragon was hard to make out for most but any of his wives below would see it.
His horns glowed before rays of lightning, flames, and gravity attacks went out. They were only laced with some Celestial Qi but it did what his harmony could not.
Cracks appeared on the shields while he saw many trying to flee that were injured. It seemed connecting the Law Gate created a lot of damage.
"LIND FREY!" A voice that grated on his ears echoed as he recognized the Shard Tier Fiend flying up at him! Further, Lind felt like he was a LOT stronger than Lanbao!
Still, his dragon body was far more flexible than his human one. A slash of daggers was avoided but vile Fiend Qi tried to invade his breath! Clever, but not clever enough. Emerald flames shot at the man and he easily deflected it.
Shock filled Lind!
Always before, his dragon flame imbued with his harmony was capable of wounding or making a Fiend dodge!
"The Great One has made it clear, you must die!" Lind's head throbbed at the mention of the 'Great One,' but he had no time as the daggers glowed with the negative Qi of fire and light! Black Fiend lightning flew across the air and he barely conjured a pure shield of harmonic Qi to stop it.
While the Fiend could protect himself, his Qi was as weak to Lind as always. The anger on his darkly beautiful face made it clear he wanted Lind to die but then a smile crossed his face.
"I may not be able to kill you yet, but you will run out of Qi long before I do. Further, can you spare the time?" Lind saw the golden dome over the sect start to flicker and panic filled his heart.
He could already tell Ethry was hurt but getting ready to rush out. He could not pick out all the scents in the blood but he was worried some of his family and friends were dead.
Still, he had to trust them. He gave them the orders to save all their lives!
"I believe in them to stop you. They have done a fine job after all!" Lind's taunting words made Zerod explode in rage. The Moebius Sect had become the bane of their existence!
"You will regret provoking us!" Zerod vanished from his sight and Lind could not sense him that time. Lind balled up as he slammed gravity into himself straight up!
He was like a cannonball but it saved his life as space was severed by a dark lightning blade! Zerod looked up in shock as Lind unfurled to unleash even more emerald flames at him.
Zerod sneered but conjured a simple Qi shield. With the protection of the Great One, the danger from Lind Frey was clearly reduced. He felt no fear now when faced with that attack.
Still, none of his attacks worked either. The protection only extended to internal or directly attached Arts. As soon as the attack left his grip, it lost the protection. The lightning blade was a good compromise but took too much time to charge up.
He wanted to be sure to cut Lind Frey in half!
"You can't keep this up forever. I will personally consume your wives and children right in front of you. You will be allowed to live long enough to watch all of the people here turned into husks!" Zerod went for a pressure point but was shocked when Lind began to shake.
He was laughing?!
Why was he laughing?!
"While you have gained power, you have not changed. You were given such strength but used it for such a petty revenge. In the end, it was wasted on you." Lind's words enraged Zerod as he vanished once more.
The Fiend saw Lind seem to freeze as he kept gathering Qi in his daggers but he also prepared to tear space to catch Lind off guard wherever he went.
Yet, Lind did not move?! Why wasn't he moving? The elongated head swiveled up and smiled!
"Time's up." Zerod was confused until he felt an all too familiar pressure of another Shard Tier but it was no one he recognized.
"ROOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRR!" Another dragon?! An azure dragon with a massive wingspan unleashed its flames on the Fiends! They survived better but the sheer power broke most shields save Widow and Mycea!
The combined their barriers at the last moment as 10 Immortal Fiends were roasted alive! Their souls were shattered. It was a true dragon?! Where did a true dragon even come from?!
Further, black seeds began to appear in the sky and none knew what they were as they did not have normal Qi emissions for flying artifacts.
Suddenly, emerald points of light lit up on their exteriors before slamming into the army of Fiends below.
[This is Emperor Lind Frey speaking. All Nautilus Class ships are to surround and secure the golden dome of the Moebius Sect. They are my family and friends! Kill all the Fiends!]
Lind sent out the message and Zerod stared in horror as the azure dragon turned to him and joined Lind Frey.
"WHAT ARE YOU?! WHY DO YOU HAVE THIS POWER?!" Lind tried to shrug but his sinuous body did not relay the move well. He simply gathered his flames as Lanbao did as well. Zerod tried to defend but the combined weakening of Lind with the sheer power of a Shard Tier Immortal cracked his shield!
Zerod saw all his forces being decimated by the strange vessels. Lind Frey was bad enough but where were all these beings coming from!
He then saw emerald cloaked Heaven Realms, all peak Sun Tiers arriving in droves! He saw more Maiden also arriving! All Sun Tiers!
"DAMN YOU, DIE!" Zerod chose to put all his strength into a final attack. The Shard Tier dragon was not as strong as him, so it could not stop him in time!
All his elements were fused into a single attack that became a dark figure with white eyes looking down on the world.
Everyone felt fear and their Qi slow but Lind looked up without any issue as his eyes blazed with harmony Qi.
"Heaven, your enemy is right in front of me and breaking the rules. Do you have an opinion?" He spoke words that seemed to shatter the spell over all the battle weary beings.
The Fiends suddenly felt a chill in their spines as all the strength they had enjoyed was suddenly gone! Black clouds began to gather with crimson, black, gold, azure, green, and tan lightning dancing in the clouds.
A full Heavenly Wrath!
"NO! The Great One will protect me!" Zerod was deranged, his skill was still going but it was getting weaker, yet it suddenly solidified as the Fiend screamed in pain.
[A disappointment, but enough for one strike.]
Lind felt true danger but then the sky behind him tore open. Lanbao tossed him inside as he tried to stop her, but he only saw her smile as she turned back to face whatever that thing was.
"You will not take my Lord from me! Not while I live!" She screamed into the sky and the dark figure merely shrugged.
[No matter.] The sky was rent asunder and Lind was dropped back into the rubble below as his vertically slit eyes clearly saw something strike Lanbao. No blood flowed, no scales were shattered, but he felt her die in his mind.
The world went white for Lind.
Emerald light exploded like a star from him in all directions. Any Fiend nearby was purified instantly and any cultivator was saved at the same time.
The figure was fading but Lind looked up in rage.
"WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING?!" Chains of emerald Qi snapped out and ensnared the figure. The moment it touched, Lind felt ill but he did not care! Memories of Lanbao celebrating her freedom and helping him all his time as Emperor flashed through him. She had been dying and he saved her, yet they had not crossed the line.
[An ant, even a Divine one, has no way to stop me–] The head swiveled as prismatic flames slammed into it. A weak Ethry had risen up in her own natural form. [Another Divine–]
The being could not get a word in before a massive torrent of water from the gigantic Black Shelled Tortoise joined them. Pain actually was felt in the chains touching the shadowy figure.
[ENOUGH!]
The chains shattered and Lind was sent reeling as Illyria and Ethry tumbled from the sky. Several Nautilus ships moved to safely catch them as the figure began to break up once more.
[I will not forget this day, ant. I will relish when you become sustenance for me. All of you are for my ascension!]
The words shook the Heaven Realm but the lightning did not stop and finally slammed into the broken figure. The last thing Lind saw was it casually swipe the lightning away before it vanished.
He had come home. He had saved his family, but then he watched one of them die!
"I swear to Heaven and Earth. I do not care how long or what I have to do, but I will kill you!" The words reverberated in his being and settled in his bones. Lind suddenly felt like something had fallen into place that had been waiting a long time for him to say those words.
Blackness closed in as Lind lost the last of his strength.
