Chapter 679 - 678 - Door To Heaven
Chapter 679 - 678 - Door To Heaven
Some months had passed since Lind had unified his path of a progenitor to his cultivation path. He had at least 3 to 4 times the strength he had before just as a human. He also found his body had gotten younger!
He had looked in his mid to late 20s before but now he almost looked like he was almost a teenager again! Further, his vitality had increased according to Lanbao and Linghu. He felt closer to an Immortal according to what both of them said.
He was still low Sun Tier but his sun now felt like it was absorbing Qi like a sponge! His capacity was insane but Lanbao assured him it was normal for a Divine Dragon.
Ethry's power was insane but now he knew why. She also had all 6 elements but her lack of harmony had mystified him. It did not anymore. He felt instinctively that harmonies were a human facet of cultivation.
Dragons had no need of them.
They already commanded the true power of Heaven and Earth. They had no need of a harmony and Lind understood that he did. Humans had great potential but Lind finally understood a facet they lacked.
Harmonies were part of the fundamental Laws of reality. He had grasped that much. Each harmony was a Law. He had some ideas on the ones he had studied of others but his own, of course, eluded him. He would need to consult with other 6 elementals to have better ideas.
Lind knew he might have to test his theories later but since he had changed his point of view on his soul and harmony with his progenitor status, he saw that the struggle of 6 elementals was not simply all 6 elements but due to the fact they were given a Law from the start.
His theories had unlocked the obstacles to pursuing those Laws but all of it paled in comparison to the stone gate he created.
Now that he had transformed himself from the bottom up, he finally saw the flaw in the giant gate causing its issues.
His attempt to bring a mathematical and physical result in the cultivation world ignored those Laws. The safeties built into it were right, the moment they tried to make the connection at a larger scale triggered something he had overlooked.
He now stood in front of the stone circle and felt he was a fool.
Science was not incompatible with cultivation. In a real sense, cultivators attain the power to manipulate themselves and the world at the same time. Controlling nature was not the ultimate goal but it was the basis of most Arts.
Lighting was the best example that Lind had proven time and again. Yet, he now stood in front of the limit of that process.
Cultivators simply did not understand science but Lind did. He was very basic compared to experts but he was a scientist compared to all the cultivators he had ever met. The stone circle in front of him was running into a conflict.
The intent of the stone circle was trying to make 2 locations connect into one space that wormholes allowed but the Laws needed were beyond all the people involved.
He had not been clear in his notes but he was not a quantum physicist. Now, he saw the glaring flaw and how to solve it.
"I wonder what they would think?" Lind smiled as he re-Forged the stone gate once more. He made it a lot simpler than before. The formations and weavings tried to force Laws to unify a space that at that smaller scale was forced to work.
The small scale versions simply replicated the Fiend tears in the void that nothing could stop but the large scale was trying to achieve the original intent that process could not achieve.
The stone gate changed to a rather familiar shape. While Lind had not been a huge fan of science fiction or fantasy shows as an adult, as a kid he was always entertained by such shows.
Now, he saw one of his favorites manifest before him was an odd feeling. The stone gate had simply become a perfect mimic of the show he had enjoyed during his teenage years.
The chevrons were not based on constellations but on relative coordinates based on his contact with the Moebius Sect and Lanbao's memory of where the Law Binding was.
He could also help his Forgers on the other side recreate what he needed on the other end but they would take longer to resolve the issue.
Frankly, he simply had to give them the blueprint and leave no room for them to interpret the process.
Forging did not work that way usually, yet Lind left them no options as he finally understood Laws would obstruct his goal.
The Law Binding would always obstruct any manipulation of Laws not part of its construction. That was why the safety formations and weavings kept triggering. The Law Binding would fight back with powerful attacks of Qi and Laws to block the 2 way connection the stone circle was attempting.
Now, it would not react at all.
"It looks clunky with this control." Shi spoke up as she looked at the pedestal with strange symbols to her eyes but to Lind it was pictographic coordinates where the exit was located for the Moebius Sect.
Lind smiled as he caressed the circular top of the pedestal.
"It simply is something new. I will admit I thought it had to be more complicated than what we ended up with." He saw the much more compact stone circle. It would easily allow his dragon form to fit but 2 to 3 people could enter it with no issue.
"So why does this version work over the others?" Her dark eyes were curious but Lind was unsure how to explain it beyond the simple one.
"Teleportation arrays are inlaid with connections like a tree system. Each branch of the system connects to the other and carries the person along the spatial path, right?" Shi nodded but Lind pointed up at the various symbols on the inner ring that rotated.
"Those symbols are coordinates that can be selected by this pedestal control to create a path to unify 2 points into one. For such a device, I need 6 points of location and 1 point of origin." He saw Shi was confused at his explanation of how his idea worked but did not sound different from teleportation arrays.
"Shi, the teleportation array is like a tunnel created and maintained by each array along the path but the stone circle connects to another and instead of ripping space open, it creates a portal." She slowly nodded but still did not see the difference.
Lind then summoned Qi and the small scale circle he har created was also re-Forged as it began to spin as the larger version moved in sync.
As Shi watched, the space inside the circle collapsed until it became a shimmering surface like liquid. Lind held a smaller version as he put his hand through and it appeared in the larger version without any delay!
"Teleportation arrays, despite how it feels to the cultivator, are not instantaneous. The gates are. Two different locations become one." Shi felt shocked. She finally grasped what Lind was doing and why the Law Binding did not prevent it!
The Law Binding prevented any teleportation outside because spatial channels were locked down but if 2 different spaces became one, the Law Binding could not stop it!
The Laws of Space in the Law Binding were based on only the understanding of teleportation! Lind had found a gap in its construction!
"So the gate unifies 2 points without a spatial channel or a tear in the void?" Lind smiled and nodded at her. He still needed the Qi to do it but he had modified the small scale versions and proved it worked!
"How did you come to this possibility?" Shi felt shocked she had never considered such a possibility. Why had no cultivator ever grasped such a method but Lind smirked as he pointed at the stone circle itself.
"It has stark limits compared to teleportation. It requires a receiving gate to open such a connection and a relative grasp of position of each gate to connect. A teleportation array simply can be connected to an existing network without much modification." Shi saw it at last.
The gate was a loophole for the Law Binding but compared to teleportation arrays, it was very inefficient. The advantages outweigh the negatives.
A teleportation array was easily created and incorporated but the stone gate took extensive mapping and resources to make it work. As was clear, even the creator of the idea had to grasp the fundamental aspects to get it function!
Each gate would have to be mapped out while the teleportation arrays did not need such complicated computations.
"What would we even call such a complicated artifact?" Shi mused out loud and Lind smirked but chose a name he recalled.
"Gate of Heaven. We will call it the Gate of Heaven." He was piercing the rules of Heaven so it seemed appropriate. Laws were the bedrock of Heaven so it was no question he was creating a gate through its rules.
Shi nodded slowly but both of them hoped the Moebius Sect could pull off what Lind needed. Once both gates were finalized, they could leave and enter the Law Binding at will.
He moved on and inspected the ring and control while ensuring it could activate the small scale ring in his hands. Unlike what he recalled in the show he loved, there was no explosion of white energy, it simply collapsed the space inside the ring and made 2 spaces one.
It would work and he would finally go back to his family. Lind would not allow any other possibility as he planned the next steps after it was completed.
He could not wait for it to work, he had to be ready. Once the Fiends knew he was out, they would assault both the Law Binding and his home. Zerod and Widow were aware of his current location. They were looking for ways to resist his harmony, and likely others, but he had to be ready to fight.
He had already focused on several ideas but he needed to test them against Fiends. He would still store them all into his ring and unleash them all at once. Some would work for sure but their effectiveness was key.
Lind returned to the Sanctuary Empire capital and awaited good new from the Moebius Sect.
