Chapter 643 - 642 - Grade 7
Chapter 643 - 642 - Grade 7
Lind has actually slept for 4 days before waking up. He felt like a new man and completely refreshed. His mind, that had been bogged down with resource allocation, training regimens, and various other things to keep the Wards running smoothly, had fallen away.
It all became so simple when he first awoke. He began to imprint several jade slips while the clarity lasted and before long he slipped from his duties as Emperor to his more favored area, his professions.
He had been at the peak of Heaven grade 6 for centuries but had put off progressing until that moment. He did not feel as firm of bottlenecks as before.
He began to remember how it felt when the restriction of the Law Binding had stopped his weaving from progressing. Now that he had Linghu to explain the limits, grade 7 was not off limits and further, it was a qualitative difference he was long used to.
Grade 7, as Lanbao explained it, was already equivalent to Heaven grade. There was no mortal grad version of that level. It changed how he viewed grade 7 and made him realize what he had nearly grasped back when the Law Binding slapped him down.
His weaving was about to reach Immortal grade 7!
Despite the changes they made, the Law Binding still restricted ascending to Immortal Realm unless under a very strict criteria that only Linghu met.
It was also possible Lind could take that step since his harmony Law was also woven into the Law Core.
Now that his head was clear, he felt closer to his other 2 professions reaching grade 7!
The secret to weaving he had already grasped. He let his fingers glow as he began to carefully engrave. The Qi coalesced around each sigil almost as if it was alive. The traces were so fine they allowed him to compress far more sigils together.
It was like he had been at the door for all those centuries since he first touched it and he finally took the last step. A complex shape appeared in mid-air in front of Lind and anyone that visited Delenn in Cimmeria would see some familiar shapes but only just.
"I am still far too weak and missing key comprehensions. I am in need of Laws." Lind knew he had just barely crossed the threshold of grade 7 for weaving.
The bottleneck was indeed not there for weaving but he found a natural barrier to his progress. He had woven it, but knew it was the traces of Law that made grade 7 possible. The structure of the sigils only barely supported it.
Once he saw that he understood what he needed for the others but it would be much harder. Rather than just essence and aspects, he would need Law essence and aspects to improve his elixirs.
Forging would be the hardest. He would need to imbue Laws into the effects so he was not sure he could do it, but he was willing to try.
The practice would help him start to grasp Laws far earlier than any Heaven Realm before him!
Sun Tier was a duality between fusing all the elements together with his comprehensions but also to touch on the Laws. He still was shy of taking that step but it was closer every day.
His constellation craters were becoming more and more connected on the surface of his full moon. The emerald color was getting lost under all the connections but Lind kept polishing further.
He could feel it was important for him to grasp all he could before fusing as there would be no going back once he started.
As such, he started with the most likely to proceed like weaving, his elixir mastery.
He pulled out 3 Heaven Stones. They were far more dense in Qi than any Qi stone he had encountered before but that was not the only oddity. They had all 6 elements but some were stronger than others.
From what Lanbao had told him, Heaven Stone mines were very precious even in the Celestial Fields as they could potentially become Immortal Stones given time. Still, many powers needed them to progress but Lind used them for his professions.
There had been a mine long ago in the 6 empires but it was exhausted after only a millennia after the Law Binding settled. Suzen had long ordered all of them for his personal use so Xing simply kept it up as they had some use for her as well.
Still, once she was at the peak of Sun Tier, she simply stored them safely.
Lind had begun to distribute them sparingly but with full admission of their limited supply. He now pulled out such precious stones for his experiment. It showed how serious his attempt would be.
Compared to other Qi stones, extracting the essence was damned difficult. The balance of all 6 elements had to be carefully considered and then it was just as hard to hold it with his spirit Qi once removed.
He had tried it before and it exhausted him quickly, but now it seemed so simple. It was clear his mental fatigue had not been addressed in far too long!
His spirit Qi flowed like a finely tuned machine from his dantian to the stone. He dove inside them and found the pure essence. He saw how incredibly complex the essence of just that Heaven Stone was a clear difference from what he did once before.
He carefully collected the essence and heard the sharp crack of the stone as it crumbled to dust. The 6 elemental essence floated next to its companions as he brought out some vials with grade 7 herbs.
It was something Lanbao had taught him was possible to store essence and aspects until he needed them. It made things a ton easier for his experiments but he was limited in the number of vials available.
It was essentially a grade to grade match to contain things for what he wanted. A grade 7 vial was necessary to store grade 7 essence. Lind popped the seal on the vial as more essence floated out.
The strain on his mind and spirit increased exponentially but it was far easier than previously. He imagined the simplest elixir an Immortal Realm would need. He found it did not quite come together as other grades had but he persevered.
He felt like he had gone back in time to Younger Twin's shop in the Stone Ward. He had felt just as much pressure and difficulty when using grade 1 essence at first.
Lind let go of his pre-conceptions and let his instincts take over a bit. He felt how grade 7 weavings were and really examined the essences floating in his spirit Qi. He saw traces of Laws and realized a stunning facet of his elixir mastery.
He had always been forcing things together until they clicked in his mind but grade 7 worked in reverse. He had to see what clicked and force it together. He saw the traces of Laws and he saw a few glowed to his senses.
As he carefully brought them together, it was like the barrier to condensing an elixir vanished as Qi swarmed the space in front of him! He quickly summoned purified water Qi and used his emerald flames to cook it.
Sweat poured from his back but with the obstruction removed, the process finally completed almost automatically. Once he crossed the threshold, it was like the path he could not see was wide open to Lind.
The water shifted colors until he saw golden sigils appearing on their own! The Laws manifested them!
His head was near splitting in pain as he tried to grasp something beyond his cultivation realm. He had already felt far worse so he could endure until the water completely changed. He quickly used grade 7 vials to hold the elixirs.
Only 3 had been completed compared to his usual 4, but it took everything he had! The vibrantly crimson elixir had flickers of gold to show how many sigils floated in it but unlike grade 6, the Laws made the grade 7 sigils.
There was more to it but he could not grasp any further.
The vials glowed with profound power and Lind knew if he even tried to drink one it would overload his meridians and dantian because he was far too weak to use them!
"Low grade 7." He had succeeded! It had taken everything he had but he was able to do it! He crossed a major realm in his production!
He was about to pick them up to look at them more when the room dimmed. He was falling when a pair of arms caught him.
"I have known many alchemists, refiners, and all professions, but you are the first Moon Tier to create Immortal elixirs." Lanbao spoke with reverence in her voice. By definition, production masters were not rated by their cultivation base, but by their creations.
Those that could exceed their cultivation were even more highly respected. Lind smirked up at her but could do little to stop her from carrying him to his bed.
She then examined the elixirs with awe as she felt the information just barely come to her. She could not pierce them at all! How?!
They were clearly low grade 7 but she could fathom the effects.
"Restoration Elixir is what it should be. I am just not sure as it was half instinct and half intent." Lind whispered from his bed as he downed elixirs for his own recovery. Lanbao carefully poured out 1 dose from a vial.
She downed it and felt warmth spread along her meridians until it hit her dantian. The sliver inside shivered until shock flooded her mind!
Laws! Her Laws and Qi were improving as if all the impurities were being removed. She had been trapped for so long by the Law Binding that her foundation had been deviating but the elixir washed it all away!
A single dose! She downed the remainder of the elixir and felt her recovery improve massively but still, the elixir was a low grade 7 whereas she was high Sliver Tier.
"L-lord Frey!" Lanbao knelt on one knee but she saw he was once more asleep. It was from pure exhaustion but she could see his Qi was restoring as he seemed to cultivate while lying down.
Just what kind of life did he live to be able to do that? The level of control to cultivate even while unconscious was not something easily obtained.
"Sleep well, Immortal Master Frey." Lanbao used the proper title but then jumped when a badge appeared in mid air. She recognized it as a profession badge but had never seen Lind wear any.
She also felt an Immortal Will inside it. She held up one of the other vials and her senses could detect profound Laws far more powerful than her own comprehension. Just how powerful of a being made that badge?
The badge slowly shifted from a prismatic color to a very dim black with a bright sliver at the center. It was ephemeral but the meaning was clear. Lind had passed the conditions of the Immortal that made that badge!
She knew the kinds of conditions such masters could set and one success was not one of them. She realized the quality of the elixirs were what mattered! Grade 7 was considered the ultimate grade by many but unlike other Immortals, her race memory held one more.
Grade 8. The Divine Realm, but Lind Frey was far from such a thing, yet she wondered if perhaps one day in the future, he would cross that threshold as well.
