Chapter 620 - 619 - Enemy of Fiends
Chapter 620 - 619 - Enemy of Fiends
Lili and the previously panicking rebels, all had their jaws wide open and left with no way to process what had just happened.
Lind had transformed into a dragon, only 7 to 8 meters long, but a dragon nevertheless. His aura had been intimidating before but then he nearly crushed them all after he transformed. Lili felt her dantain sing in joy for some reason as well.
The Qi in the air seemed to dance to her eyes as if an old friend had appeared. She had never heard of Qi acting out at all yet to her Eyes it was as if all 6 elements happily flowed over them all as Lind's aura covered them all.
He then flew across the cavern and headed to the entrances where she could sense the puppets coming in. Just when she felt confident he could easily crush the World Realm feeling, Sky Realms appeared in large numbers!
While a Moon Tier normally had no fier of any number of Sky Realms, the feeling of those Sky Realms left her shivering. Even at a distance, the Qi coming off them felt like it would rip her apart and she was a Sun Tier!
Yet, all the fierce attacks that made the cultivators shiver in place to know their doom, were simply shattered by the emerald flames lining Lind's dragon body.
They might as well have just tossed some water at him for all the effect the attacks had. If that was all, most would have assumed Lind paid a huge cost to defend himself and them, but then he unleashed his flame attack.
Lili expected to see buildings smashed with bodies flying, but it was like the flames only saw the puppets! Their bodies were engulfed and were the only thing to react!
"NO MORE!" Lind's voice suddenly roared in the cavern to them all and she could feel his rage. It was like some fundamental anger from the dawn of time. The Qi in the air swirled at his command. Not just his own Qi, but all of it in the entire cavern!
Her own Qi and the rest around her joined in but no one was harmed! On the contrary, she saw critically injured people recover fast enough to see with the naked eye! What was this feeling?
"The Heavens sing." A voice suddenly spoke up behind her and she saw Kin looking up in awe. "The Heavens sing and the Earth rumbles to a Divine Will. Wary the day you feel it as it will either be your last or break your will to endure."
Lili vaguely recalled the words from an ancient text many studied during cultivation. It was a warning from the ancestors about certain aether beasts' bloodlines. Supposedly there were bloodlines so close to Heaven and Earth that rather than feel the anger of Heaven during a tribulation, it celebrated.
She slowly turned and realized what was happening.
"By the spirits, just what kind of existence did we challenge?" Lili whispered it but all near her nodded in agreement. Yun had been a fool. Nothing could chain the being they saw. Heaven would destroy any that harmed that emerald dragon.
They watched as Lind easily destroyed the puppets but then Lili narrowed her eyes as pristine bodies were left behind. Had he save them?
Before she even tried to stretch her senses, the bodies burst with silvery light. She had never seen it before but her senses as a Soulmancer were intact. The spiritual Qi was burning the bodies but why?
"ROOOOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRR!!!!!" Lind's roar shook the cavern and any doubt of his anger was dismissed by even a child. Yet, none of the cultivators felt fear because the anger was not directed at them. It stood between them and the monsters.

Far above Orwellia Empire, black clouds gathered and the Law Binding actually opened up for the first time in over a million years.
The instant that happened, massive bolts of lightning crashed into the empire grounds like the wrath of some angry God.
Wherever a trace of Fiend Qi lay it was obliterated. That included the tethers holding the floating land masses in place!
The spiritual tethers snapped like strings but nothing fell. The once locked masses slowly began to float on the flow of Qi in the air. The visiting Soulmancers and other outsiders were panicking but the residents simply looked dead eyed.
The lightning did not touch a single living soul anywhere.
No buildings were destroyed either as Celestial Qi was left alone. Only Fiend Qi. The very air was purified and many found their cultivation foundations were invigorated. Yet they were too scared to even try to take advantage.
What was causing that disaster?

Lanbao, far away, looked up and smiled but the Law Binding still held her tight. Even so, she felt it. Her day of freedom was coming.
She still felt awe as an Immortal at the power Heaven had brought at the rage of a progenitor. Something very bad had to happen that Heaven already disapproved of and the progenitor simply made it focus its wrath.

Xing in the Core Hall was in shock at the now fully cracked Law Core but she dared not touch it as every instinct she had screamed at her to do so would be death!
The crack was healing fairly quickly but she could see through the array what was happening in Orwellia. Yet, she did not understand why until ancient words came back to her.
"D-divine bloodline! It is a spirits' cursed divine bloodline!" The enemy she had been fighting for close to ¾ of a century was a Divine aether beast! Considering the old snake's actions, it meant a dragon had come! How?! How did anything ascend into their protected space outside the ascension pools?!
She actually could do nothing as the core of Orwellia Empire's power was ripped asunder. The cause was unknown but the being behind it she knew. That insufferable man!
Linghu lay limply but he relished the fear and depressed look on her face. Anything that crushed her dreams made him happy. With Shi dead, he only had one last reason to live. To see Xing die!

Lind felt Heavenly Wrath laying waste above but it would not reach the puppets directly. Only he, with his harmony, could do that through the connection of the puppets themselves. Still, he had not expected such a vigorous response.
Maybe some lightning here or there, yet Heaven seemed very angry.
It even pushed his dantian at long last and he comprehended his elements as well to break through to the peak of the Moon Tier just barely! He saw the yawning chasm to reach the Sun Tier was far away so he still had a long way to go.
His draconic body grew longer but only to 9 meters total.
He suddenly realized the restriction on his connection to the outside was gone! He wasted no time and focused all his thoughts!
[Ethry! If you can hear me, I am alive. I am trapped in a Law Binding by Fiends. I am ok but you cannot breach this place without at least 3 Immortals at the Sliver Tier or 2 at the Shard Tier. Do not risk yourselves and know I love you all!]
He strained his Qi and for a brief moment he felt a storm of emotions along their connection.
He finally had a direction as well as he looked dead east and finally despaired. He knew one thing about the war in the Heaven Realm. The war front was west of his mortal realm ascension pool.
If he was looking east, he was in Fiend territory.
[I will come home!]
He felt the Law Binding fighting back against Heavenly Wrath at last and the connection snapped off once more. He felt both happy and frustrated. At long last he had been able to reach out but his journey home was far from easy.
He now knew if the Law Binding broke, he faced a much larger issue. He needed to be careful about it but that was in the far future at his current rate.
He also had to reconsider the support items maintaining the Law Binding as Immortal Fiends would have a far easier time breaking it than regular cultivators if it weakened too much.
He slowly transformed but still felt Heaven and sent a thank you. He also sparked his emerald harmony and found he understood more about it as well. He knew it was beneficial to others but now he understood another aspect to it.
He was absolutely the enemy of all Fiends everywhere. It was not an accident but a basic fundamental piece of him. How? He had never met or heard of Fiends until Cimmeria, so why was his harmony so perfectly against them?
It would take more study but he now had a new lead to study his harmony.

Far above the Law Binding, surrounded by horrific resource camps and armed soldiers of billions of Fiends, there were black clouds still circling as many looked on.
They all felt a chill in their spines looking at it and knew that Heavenly Wrath had been directed at the ancient experiment. None knew what went wrong but while it still stood, none could enter as they should have been able to.
Messages were quickly relayed to commanders far from that place. No one knew what caused the Heavenly Wrath but all the Fiends felt the anger directed at them. Why or how did not matter but that there was a change in the great experiment in over a million years.
Preparations needed to be made or at the very least, powerful forces needed to be moved to be ready if the Law Binding would fall. The Fiends had many plans in motion for the war but the experiment presented a solution to build beachheads in enemy territory they could never reclaim.
If it finally collapsed, they could reap the benefits and see where they could go from there!
