Chapter 520 - 519 - Changes to the Maidens

Qing led her large party across the Floating Isles.  Star Tiers could move unchallenged so long as they were heading to the ascension pools.  Also, the Moebius Sect was still seen as the heroes against the Fiend invasion over 3 centuries ago.

Many sects might grumble about what they have done lately, but nearly 20 Star Tiers from that sect alone shut all rivals up.  None had been sure exactly how many Star Tiers they had but now that they moved and still had some left over, shocked all.

They were able to cross most islands in a single step to reach the teleportation arrays needed to move to the next one or use a tunnel.

The space between was still too dangerous due to the beasts that thrived inside but Ethry could have suppressed them if they really wanted to.  Yet, they did not wish to flaunt such an ability.

Ethry was the most ardent on the final night with Lind.  They had made a point of being with him in every way possible in the last year but the final night Ethry had nearly shattered the wards set up for privacy!

She had been blushing deeply since she had found out!

There was of course, another reason they had all been so fervent aside from the plans to ascend.  Lind had finally agreed to start a family when he ascended!  They had practically fallen over themselves in their joy.

He was only a single tier away!  It was not like before when he had no idea how to advance.  If anything, the Star Tier should be a breeze for 6 elementals!

Ethry had been repressing her cultivation for a century at least since she had all 6 elements already.

After a mere 2 weeks, they arrived at the highest island.  Originally, so legend said, the Heavenly Maiden Sect and Divine Sword Sect sent envoys down to establish their dominance but only the Heavenly Maidens remained on the island as the Divine Sword Sect went to find a more compatible place.

The Hellfire Sect was also from above but came later.  The Wilds was the only native supreme power to be on the island.

Qing did not hide their arrival at all as it was impossible to begin with but she was stunned as to who greeted them.

"You are quite slow compared to how you used to be, Little Qing."  A demoness with bright orange eyes and nearly black lavender skin stood in her pristine white robes next to a person she had heard from Lind about.

"Elder Yi and Senior Char, it is a pleasure, but may I ask why both of you are here?"  Char was not entirely unexpected but Elder Yi was clearly a low Star Tier and a 5 elemental could advance very quickly!

The major issue she would have faced was advancing her 5 elements to peak Sky Realm.

"I came because I wish to extend a formal invitation from the main Hellfire Sect Branch to you."  Cyntilla became her focus but Qing had to repress a smile as Cyntiall simply looked at her fingernails as if nothing was said.

Qing noted approval from Char before she bowed and backed off.  There were other demons in their group but most knew Cyntilla had stood out in any battle she had been in.

The Fangs of Moebius was her title on the battlefield.

"I am here from Lady Chyou to return a favor, or at least that's what she said after dancing around the subject for close to half a day!"  Qing tilted her head before Yi walked up to Fey and bowed all the way to the ground!

Fey actually blanched and went to pick her up but Shoti stopped her.

"The Heavenly Maiden Sect formally apologizes to Fey of Moebius Sect.  All former disciples have been purged from the sect and crippled."  Shock flooded the crowd as Yi spoke not just to them but to Char as well!

"Bout time too, bad eggs all around."  A voice came from the trees to the right as a man shimmered until he appeared.  His wide face and reptilian eyes revealed he was some kind of chameleon but in his current form it was hard to place him.

"What do you want here, sneak thief?"  Char was now cold but the man paid her no mind as he knelt in front of Ethry and Kora.

"Great Ones, the Wilds would gladly follow you in the Heaven Realm."  Stunned silence followed as the extreme sincerity was clear.  Char's jaw was wide open as the Wilds had established a foothold in the Heaven Realm with other beast powers.

Beasts do not submit easily and despite being from different races, it was not uncommon for mortal realm powers to stick together unless drawn strongly to another power.  What the Wilds offered was to join under Ethry and Kora!  Such a thing had never happened!

Kora looked flustered but Ethry shifted her aura and prismatic flames surrounded her.

"You do not follow me, but my mate.  Is that clear?"  Qing did not even have time to blink before the mid Star Tier lizard man bowed and vanished!  That was it?!

"W-what just happened?!"  Char was flustered but Yi just smiled.

"That boy just changed the world again and he never left home!  Ha!  I wish I could see his face when he finds out!"  Qing felt a headache building but before another thing could crop up, she wanted answers.

"Elder Yi, explain your statement.  It was confirmed by the Wilds, but what has happened exactly?"  Rumors had of course reached them but there was no time to confirm what happened or did not happen in the Heavenly Maiden Sect.

Yi actually looked solemn before she began to speak.

"Lind healed Lady Chyou and she became a mid Star Tier in an instant.  You may not know but she was a legendary warrior for many centuries.  Her feats are still spoken of with respect despite the factions preparing to take her down."  Qing glanced at Char but the demoness seemed broken staring at the woods.

"We heard about the factions, the information brokers were salivating for when things would fall apart.  I found it sad."  Qing's words made Yi nod but the stern demoness did not dive into that part.

"When she came back from a trap setup to take her down, she was restored to her youth!  She was at her peak somehow and cured of her Qi deviation.  She was fire and death and 2 of the 5 factions fell in line behind her immediately."  Yi then sneered.

"The faction that wanted things to stay the same tried to also follow her but she crushed them before turning on the other 2.  It was like karmic retribution came to the vile snakes that had wormed their way to positions of power!"  Yi looked thrilled before she calmed down.

"She killed them?"  Qing was shocked.  The kind and fair minded old woman she had met did not seem the type but then she recalled that even she, as a healer, had many enemies behind her on her journey through cultivation.

"Killed?  Ha!  No, she crippled them!  She left them begging for mercy and broke their spirits.  At least half the sect was expelled!"  Char finally whipped her head around as she had heard part of that story.

The Heavenly Maiden Sect had been in chaos in the last year, like a storm had been unleashed.

She had no idea Lady Chyou had recovered to such an extent.  The records of her adventures made her shiver.  She was a terrifying warrior and she had been injured during most of those Char knew of.

If she was back to her peak, the Heavenly Maiden Sect was going to become a terror once more.

Qing nodded slowly but she wondered where brought it all on for her to go so far just for Fey.  As if reading her mind, Yi continued.

"Her first order of business after cleaning house was to change the rules of the Heavenly Maiden Sect.  There will be severe punishments for suppressing any disciple regardless of reason."  Fey trembled but Qing narrowed her eyes.

"Why?"  Her tone was cold but Yi understood.

"She cannot change the past but the future will be in honor of Fey and Lind."  Qing slowly nodded as Shoti walked up next to her.  The 2 former Maidens looked stern but nodded at Yi's words.

"We wish to ascend.  Is there any other business?"  Yi shook her head and Char said nothing but Ethry turned to see several more Star Tier beasts emerge from the trees as if they had waited for the end of the conversation.

The group was now almost 40 strong and both Char and Yi were shocked.  They realized the Moebius Sect was becoming terrifying before any of them even ascended.

"What was it you said about the boy changing the world?"  Yi nodded as they saw one of the largest groups to ever ascend all at once.

In the history of the Floating Isles, such unity was practically unheard of.  The other changes were like stones dropped into a pond but instead of interfering with each other, the ripples fed into each other.

They grew stronger and now their changes were becoming more apparent to the world.  Lind Frey was not just a rising power house but raising up a whole generation vastly different than any before.
