Chapter 1677 - 1676 - Eternal Oracle Demon Fox

Divine Lord Queltz relished his freedom after untold epochs trapped by those detestable human Master Tiers! He had his own slumber cycle to upgrade his skin after absorbing enough materials but it was at that time they struck and he could do nothing to stop them at the time.

He observed the marked old Ravenous Abyss Worm guide his juniors into their first slumber cycle by percentages. It would mark an even further reduction of attacks going forward.

Still, he flinched as he felt a Divine Realm condense yet another inexplicable Heaven Mystery. He had lived so long and been forced to wear such a weak facade by the humans.

They seemed to prefer him to look like a woman but really it made no difference. Worms did not have genders like other beasts.

It irked him to be forced and he desired to reach back through time to throttle them.

He surfaced and looked towards the strange area marked off by junior Frey. He had hidden many things by necessity from the True Lord.

Divine Lord Queltz looked within his dantian once more and saw the burning flame that had appeared the instant he became a Master Tier beast. He could not speak for humans, demons, or the other races, but beasts in general condensed the strange flame at the heart of their dantian if they reached the first Mystery of the Master Tier.

No one knew why but all knew it was the key to the next realm.

He had been trapped by it until now, as if to mock him, he learned the thrice cursed 6 elementals may have been the answer all along! Heaven and Earth were fair. The answer to questions as old as the Divine Lands lay in the mortal realm!

The irony was not lost as no one truly studied them. It was simply considered cultivators trying to bite off more than they could chew at the Soul Realm.

By the time a cultivator usually became a Divine Realm, they would be so far beyond the memories of their beginning that the comparison never occurred to anyone!

The once hopeless state now held the dream of moving forward but like all things concerning the Divine Realm, Lind Frey's insights were limited in their scope for him.

The young dragon, however, shocked him with his comprehension. The shocks did not end there.

Divine Lord Queltz knew the truth behind Lind's meteoric rise in power was due to his companion. Karu.

The demon fox was something he had not seen since long before his imprisonment. He was likely one of a handful of beings to have endured from the time of the Western Continents destruction.

The Ravenous Abyss Worms that died were once juniors born long after the Fiends appeared so had no memory of Celestials. Queltz was shocked to feel pure Celestial Qi once more rife on the island.

Karu was a rebirth of a bloodline long extinct but none knew how they could be exterminated in the first place. Queltz now suspected they were hunted by Fiends who existed outside of Heaven and Earth's plans.

They were legendary seers, oracles, or any name you wanted to give to those that could pierce the web of fate but just one of their race at any given time, was different.

The original ancestor was a demon fox that had an opportunity to grasp Time and Space Dao to such an extent to leave all other practitioners in the dust!

It was suspected she also found some kind of Inheritance but none ever learned if it was true or not.

The result was a demon fox race that was actually protected not by greater powers, but their own ability to detect dangers from the future! They could not be caught, blinded, or even tricked by any method other seers suffered from.

More so, the unique being of their race.

The Eternal Oracle Demon Fox. Marked by white fur with black tips on her ears and tails. A nine-tailed fox was always a Divine Bloodline but the Eternal Oracle Demon Fox was unique. She was considered the peak of all demon fox races.

She was also imbued with an ability only a very few Master Tiers were aware of, namely the ability to send herself back in time to see events directly! It was not known why she could do it but whenever she did, those peak Master Tiers that shared Time Dao to great success felt it.

It was only revealed when a massive tragedy was unleashed on the Northern Continent that it could be used to avert events! A group of powerful sects had set out to exterminate several beast races for their own benefit and the backlash of Heaven and Earth was devastating.

Whole civilizations were reduced to nothing under the Wrath of Heaven and Earth due to that act. Even Master Tiers could not resist it.

It was a tragedy but none were spared since none had tried to really stop them. Even now, Queltz had no idea why Heaven and Earth had been so angered as massacres were not exactly uncommon.

He then shivered as he recalled suddenly waking up in the past before it all happened. It was literally thousands of years in the past and the future Eternal Oracle Demon Fox worked hard to arrange pieces to prevent it from happening.

She just barely succeeded thanks to the same Master Tiers helping her.

It proved 3 things. One, while the power of the Eternal Oracle Demon Fox had far more utility, it had severe restrictions on altering the past on it. Two, unless one had comprehended complete Time Dao, even a Master Tier would be unaware of what occurred. The last part only came later.

It had no effect at all on the final realm.

In fact, the changes made in the Divine Lands did not alter the final realm at all! If a Master Tier broke through and time went back to when they were just a Master Tier, a new version of them would exist that may or may not succeed but did not affect the original in anyway!

Queltz had no idea what happened it they repeated the success as such knowledge was blocked off anyway but they knew about it all as that drastic action of hers caused the current restrictions in the skies of the Divine Lands.

They would not allow such unilateral actions going forward.

They did not punish that particular oracle either as the cause was truly unknown to them until they looked into it.

He was likely the last living being to recall those events and only because he had delved into Time and Space for refining his skin to the best quality possible.

He sighed as the impossible story ended in a mystery. One day, the bloodline of the Eternal Oracle Demon Fox tribe was nearly everywhere and highly respected then suddenly it was gone as if wiped out overnight!

It was not an exaggeration. He recalled distinctly that they all suddenly vanished from one week to the next. The exact day was not noted as it took time to confirm. It was not unusual for beast tribes to come together every few centuries to discuss clan matters.

It was only when the disappearance stretched to over a century that the inquiries began. Yet, no trace or explanation was ever found.

Queltz now had a suspicion of 2 possibilities. They died out just before the Fiends first appeared, supposedly. Either, the Fiends hunted such a powerful race to extinction to monopolize them or the Eternal Oracle bloodline saw the horror to come and the abuse their race would be put to.

They might have chosen self destruction.

It was a completely wild theory but it was the only things that made sense. As they had never been seen since nor their abilities put to use so far as he knew, the latter was the better fit.

The fact a new Eternal Oracle Demon Fox was now on the island also leant confirmation to his theory. What were the odds that before the final battle that would decide all of existence that such a demon fox would reappear?

It further stretched the imagination that such a powerful bloodline just happened to find Lind Frey, a strange 6 elemental dragon with a near perfect ability to fight Fiends. What it could not wrap its mind around was what Lind did with it.

His old self found a way to alter his history below the Divine Realm. Whether it was records or maybe experience, the young dragon had learned how hard it was to alter the future of a Divine Realm directly so he had to change it before it reached that point!

Still, to completely alter his foundation?! How had he done that at all?! It also seemed like all previous knowledge and experience still resided in his soul somewhere. It was the only way to explain both his success and speed despite his slow start.

Otherwise it would take him far longer but that still left one hurdle was the current set of Mysteries! He did not understand the insane Mystery energy coming off of Lind Frey. It felt like he was closer to Master Tier in strength!

While some Divine Realms could fight a minor tier above, to an extent, it varied wildly in confirmation. Lind Frey, however, terrified him!

He had no idea what he was!

He was the answer so many Master Tiers had sought and also a powerhouse on par with the elites of any clan yet only at the Journeyman Tier Heaven Layer!

That was insane!

Queltz was about to continue his journey when a thunderous flow of Mystery energy nearly became visible as it flowed to Lind Frey. His jaw dropped as he nearly stumbled to see it! Refining a Mystery should not be so easy unless the previous condensed Mysteries were in sync with it!

Just what was going on?! Had Heaven and Earth given them a final chance?! He really wanted to know but he dared not distract Lind Frey unless he came to ask for guidance.

The path of Divine Realms was very personal but sometimes discussing the Dao could lead to enlightenment.

He only hoped he could help the final hope of avoiding becoming a Fiend's eternal resource.
