Chapter 1674 - 1673 - Emerald Isle

The old man dove into the soil but Lind did not even get a chance to harvest before a massive aura slammed into him.

[BRAT! What have you done?!] The Divine Lord Quicksilver Worm was clearly disturbed but Lind was now even more angry.

[What you should have done long ago! I invoked judgement!] A long silence followed before a response came.

[I wanted to but the thrice cursed formations always stopped any of my Authority. The humans were all too aware of what I am. Did any survive?] Lind's anger vanished as he recalled that a Divine Lord was imprisoned.

Lind relayed what happened and he felt a deep lament but no blame. He had figured out the truth and acted appropriately.

[I can compensate you vitality if you need it.] Shock flowed through Lind but he quickly affirmed none was taken which only made the Divine Lord seem even sadder.

[Senior I–] Lind was about to try and comfort him when the Heavens rumbled. He looked up confused as he was not familiar with the current sensation.

He had been exposed to tribulations, Heavenly Wrath, and even Heavenly Celebration.

The current sensation was unlike any of those. He tried to test it but the Divine Lord stopped him.

[What have you done?! Why have you called this?!] Lind had no idea what the Divine Lord was talking about until a bolt of lightning slammed into him.

He expected pain but instead his Heaven Mystery flared and the power scattered across the island!

What was going on?! He tried to trace what was happening but it was like he was nearly blinded by the sun when he used his Talents!

Sight or touch, both were burned the instant he tried them. He was a Journeyman Tier but the simple energy flares were far superior to him!

The ground began to shake as another storm filled the sky. It was of all colors but one finally stood out that shocked him to his core.

Emerald lightning?! Why?! As if in answer to his question, a tsunami of vitality flowed from the sky straight into the ground. The emerald lighting was acting like a prism for the elements and not just the natural kind!

It was like his Origin Nodes were flipped back into the 3 elemental sets! The old man suddenly reappeared looking terrified but then joy spread on his wrinkled face. Despite looking so frail, he began to dance on the shaking surface.

It seemed even in human form, beasts of the soil were unbothered by its changes!

Lind could not say the same for him in the sky! He was being shoved around as if he was a nuisance in the way! Still, he could not leave! He had tried but the gusts were strong enough to crack his scales!

His size did not matter as both forms were simply tossed around like he was nothing!

A sudden calm enveloped him and he looked down to see the old man laughing as brought him to the surface. Once down, he realized nothing happening could affect him!

"True Lord, apologies for not noticing. A Spirit Restoration Blessing is so rare I have only heard of it from long before my predecessors' faded." A blessing? He had felt the joy of Heaven and Earth when Ethry broke through and she was able to cause some minor miracles but it got less as she advanced.

The celebration was still there but no more miracles, just possibilities.

Increased Qi density, Laws flowing strong enough to be easily grasped, and other such things that while very good, relied more on the cultivator than any direct blessing.

"Why is my lightning a part of it?" Lind did not understand but the old man seemed to.

"You invoked Judgement rightly, True Lord. Punishment was given to the sinner but their crimes cannot be resolved just by moving on. Heaven and Earth are fair. All the death and destruction are now to be balanced out!" His emerald eyes narrowed! He did it?!

Heaven and Earth had enacted punishment on the Master Tiers but that energy had to go somewhere so it was now channeled back into the very island that had been cursed by them!

He could not think of a more fair use! Yet, why was his lightning involved? He had invoked the Judgment but that was all. It was up to Heaven and Earth after that.

"He he he, True Lords acknowledged by Heaven and Earth gain Authority over the beast tribes. What would happen if a righteous True Lord called out Judgment?" Lind pondered the words and then saw the changes.

It was not just energy anymore, forests sprung up like it was a movie on fast forward but they were far from ordinary!

Lind had never seen such–! His eyes narrowed as he had seen such a miraculous thing before but not on such a scale.

The Throne of Defiance was created by his will yet compared to the enormous Maw Island, it was but a drop in the bucket.

A thought flitted across his mind but he quickly suppressed it. He had no time to risk condensing a new Mystery!

The storm raged but rather than destruction, it brought rich vitality! Lind then felt shocked as he saw it included Divine Celestial Qi! He had yet to come across it anywhere in his travels but now it was flowing like a fountain out of the transformed island!

The old man seemed confused as he had no knowledge of the strange Qi but it invigorated him despite his punishment.

The rash of storms finally began to calm down when a beam of pure light slammed into Lind, himself!

The barrier of the Master Tier could not stop it but the old man only looked shocked more so than before.

"Why–?" He then clamped a hand over his mouth as questioning Heaven and Earth was unwise so close after his Judgment.

Lind felt his body, soul, and mind were being purified. He thought no more could be eked out of his foundation aside from Mysteries but he was wrong.

Further, he felt a deep connection to the island form. Yet, it seemed to fall under some restrictions he did not understand. It was as if something was missing but he still felt the connection.

The blue sky finally appeared as the sun crested on the horizon. Lind looked around and his jaw dropped.

The trees towered hundreds of kilometers into the air and an ancient aura flared across the land near them. It was as if billions of years of accumulation had occurred in less than a few breaths of time!

His eyes narrowed as he felt movement deep underground. The Ravenous Abyss Worms! They were only in the Heaven Realm but he could feel them finally! He was confused as the information was flowing to his mind but it was not from his aura.

"Master, this island has been claimed by you. Even Divine Lords cannot take it away from you." The old man was kneeling on the thick grass but Lind was confused.

Claimed by him? Since when?

Before he could get answers, a horrifying aura closed in and a tall man with salt and pepper long hair slammed into the ground. His robes shone with metallic luster but his eyes were fierce as he closed in.

"HOW DARE YOU–?" The voice was all too familiar but before the hands could close in, the older man locked in place in shock.

He could not attack Lind at all!

Lind recognized that voice. It was the Divine Lord Quicksilver Worm!

"Senior, what is going on? Why can I feel the island in its entirety and the Ravenous Abyss Worms?" He ignored the current situation as it would only be a painful topic. Yet, the older man stared daggers at him before clearly taking at least a dozen calming breaths.

"We claimed this island for all our kin and yet a single invocation from you and it is all undone. Now another land of dragons will be–" The Divine Lord then looked confused as he truly took in the island.

He then looked around in awe. His eyes became misty as he fell to his knees.

"No–no draconic leylines. No restrictions. No denial." Confusion flared with every word but Lind dared not impose on such a terrifying being. Regardless of why he could not kill him, there were things far worse than death.

"Senior, I have no idea–" He was suddenly hugged tightly by the Divine Lord and he felt the man shiver. What was going on?!

The last survivor of the Master Tier Ravenous Abyss Worms put his head on the ground.

"Divine Lord, the True Lord Lind Frey has restored our island and more without distinction! All things can thrive!" Lind only then grasped what his own aura was telling him.

Beasts of all races were mixed in with the ancient feeling forests. Lind realized it was far from the Throne of Defiance and literally a recreation of a land for all races to thrive.

His eyes narrowed as he also felt something else. It was only in trace amounts but it was not disappearing. Emerald harmonic Qi!

Where was it coming from?!

It was only as he carefully traced the local energy that he shockingly realized it was him! It was coming from him!

He had restored the island and now painted it in his harmony.

He had made it the Emerald Isle, home to all races and beings!
