Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1665 - 1664 - Broken Power

Chapter 1665 - 1664 - Broken Power

Lind took several months to just barely stabilize his power before he attempted to call out to the Inheritance. Even that failed as he could not tame his own aura!

His weaving was under control but nothing else! Even his body was way too powerful!

His harmony was not even worth mentioning. He could feel it as easily as ever but any attempt to get it to obey him was a spectacular failure.

He sighed as he turned to Haro who nodded in understanding. The ring spirit was far more powerful than him now and it showed as the Ruined Islands slowed and then parted to reveal the entrance to the Twins' Inheritance.

Lind frowned as he saw many fractures across the once smooth golden stone. He then felt shocked as his own harmonic traces were clear in the damaged areas!

How was such a thing possible?! He had nowhere near the power needed to even scratch that material. Even now, with his current state, he knew he could not harm it.

"Haro?" The ring spirit seemed as shocked as him. Yet, the now passed out leader of the Broken Tower and her men were exposed to some strange event related to his power burst on condensing his Mystery.

Further, all the Fiends were just gone. They were not converted like he normally did. They were gone!

He had no idea how that worked! The Apprentice Tiers might, a very big might, have been susceptible enough for him to try something like that but Journeyman Tier should have been able to at least resist or act fast enough to escape.

"Master, what Mystery did you condense?" Lind was about to speak when his instincts screamed at him to stop. He realized he may have made a serious mistake!

"Haro, are there Mysteries of Heaven and Earth that are inherently dangerous to condense?" His question made the spirit surprised but then he became grim.

"Yes. Unlike the Apprentice Tier, the Mysteries of Heaven, Earth, and Qi can fall into dangerous categories. If you have touched on one of those, you will have to fully refine just the one Mystery before condensing the next or you will lose all control of your entire existence." Lind wanted to punch people.

Why had no one warned him?!

As if reading his mind Haro smiled and shrugged.

"In the epochs I have lived through, only a handful of Journeyman Tiers have ever achieved that, Master. In fact, the last one to achieve it never got past the Earth Mysteries because the time involved was much longer for those same powerful concepts." Lind felt worried about that.

Profound power came with very high thresholds to continue. His Apprentice Tier had been impressive but ultimately it was the culmination of his path. The Journeyman Tier was about the external world. It was about rebuilding his foundation, his body, and his existence entirely for the final Tier of the Divine Realm.

"Any other things I should know?" Lind expected Haro might finally tell him far more but it was a familiar voice that answered first.

"You need to first master your current power then head to the Northern Continent. You will find the Convocation of True Lords there in about a thousand years." Older Twin looked haggard as he gently deposited Lind's 3 companions. They were unconscious but he became worried that they were unstable.

Before he could ask, Younger Twin appeared looking heavily injured.

"The mistake was not yours, Lind Frey. It was mine. I wanted to give you the best chance and severely underestimated what that could mean. The fact you are both alive and barely hurt shows you were more than prepared to advance." Lind wanted to argue but control was not exactly a normal facet to be worried about.

The Divine Wills could not stay but they did one more thing before they left.

"Do not use your Mystery until you control it. You got away with it because of the Ruined Islands but away from here, you could wipe out everyone around you before you realized. Further, Heaven will not allow you to tap into your full potential again like that without a severe penalty. You have no time for that." The Twins spoke as one and Lind went wide eyed at the implication.

Supposing the Mystery he condensed was a key, the lock was the limits of the Journeyman Tier and it could shatter those chains! His harmony also had to be a massive part of it!

Just what had happened when he was out of control?!

He had no time as the Fiends would be coming and the Broken Tower members would awaken with a need for answers he did not have.

A massive sphere appeared in the air and Lind recognized it for what it was.

"Get on. Rewards for the legacy are on board. It will take you to a safe place that still exists in the Western Lament. Good luck." The 2 wills vanished and Lind had Haro carry the 3 women on board before carefully floating up himself.

The wall merged like liquid before he felt it move. It was a strange feeling as the formations and features of the artifact protected the passengers from such sensations but he could still feel the movement was many times faster than he could ever hope to achieve.

He also felt the immense cost of it! A massive storm of Qi was being consumed to make the artifact move as fast as it was.

Compared to his own vessels, he now saw the stark cost of flying by artifact in the Divine Lands. The massive size of them made far more sense as they had to store chasms of Qi, Laws, and Daos just to move!

He had no say as he had no control at the moment to guide an artifact.

Lind assumed a lotus position and continued to consolidate his foundation. He had no idea exactly how much time passed as there were no windows or any reference at all inside the sphere.

It seemed to be a glorified automatic conveyance that followed the instructions of its owner alone.

Haro stayed out in case the women awoke but they were all unstable so it was unlikely. He was able to have Haro administer some elixirs to stabilize them.

Finally, the hull became liquid and they slowed down before it opened on ancient ruins. Broken towers, walls, and even what seemed like skyscrapers leaned on relatively short mountains.

The group emerged and the sphere shot back into the sky before quickly leaving even his acute senses.

"Do you know where we are, Haro?" The ring spirit shook his head. The plain truth was that the Western Lament was not fully mapped even after billions of years.

Some islands were beyond any safe reach or they were hidden by odd forces unleashed when the continent was rent asunder.

Lind tentative let his aura spread out and was happy to see it was far more stable but it had limits.

He could only scan a limited range around them and what he saw made him frown deeply.

"We are not alone. There are signs of recent habitation and fleeing." Haro nodded as he stood guard while Lind began to engrave in the air. His weaving was smooth and even more profound.

He expected to see the 8th Circle change in his dantian but then he recalled that since becoming a Divine realm, all the circles had vanished.

Was he no longer under restrictions? He had missed it until recently but he had been too damn busy with his other goals.

He had simply pushed his weaving and never realized he faced no bottleneck anymore.

A dome of energy snapped into place and both men were stunned at its power.

"So I have control to engrave but the effects are not in my full control?" Lind sighed as Haro smirked. It was not a bad problem but if he intended to have a nuanced effect, it would not go well.

He resumed his cultivation and waited for one of the women to wake up.

It was a few weeks later that Lind stopped as he detected someone trying to pierce his weaving.

There was no one visible but that was not the thing that drew Lind's attention. It was not simply aura but another weaving! Such an isolated place and a Dao Grade weaver lived there? The odds of that seemed impossible but no one came out after their failure.

He was also impressed that his draconic senses found nothing as well. That was not easy to do!

It also made him wary as it was highly unlikely their visitor knew what he was. It was far more likely there was something that had to be hidden from on par with dragon senses.

Lind frowned as there were supposedly several islands where humans and demons were not the superior force but beasts were.

It was not dragons as he would know already. They would have felt him and vice versa.

The greater likelihood of other divine beasts or their descendents was unlikely as well as he was more than familiar with their aura.

A vibration in the stone beneath them made him frown.

"Haro?" The ring spirit quickly closed his eyes and carefully scanned before he turned pale.

"Massive worms, Master. They are everywhere." Lind had a strong desire to reach across space and throttle the Twins.

What made them think the island was safe?!
