Chapter 1663 - 1662 - Heaven is the Origin

Lind got himself to his peak condition while Yue slept. As he did that, he also imparted several jade slips and elixirs to Karu and Gaia. They were specifically to help keep Yue stable if she awoke before he returned.

Older Twin affirmed time would pass faster for Lind than them in the final trial.

After a few days, Younger Twin appeared looking haggard. He seemed surprised by finding one of their new arrivals unconscious but seemed to notice something instantly.

"I can take care of the child when she wakes but it is not my specialty. I have shifted the trials from elixirs and Forging to what you will need. Understand you cannot simply walk through a scenario or Divine Memory for this to work. So what you are about to face is real." Lind was confused.

The patients had been real, he knew that but what kind of trial aside from that could either have in their Inheritance?

As if reading his mind, the Twins smiled wide in some pity at him.

"You made a simple version in your trial with the patients. A mid to peak Master Tier Divine Realm can create a mortal realm but we can also make special realms on our level as well." Lind reeled from the implications until Older Twin clarified his words.

"To be clear, just as you did, we can only create the raw materials. Plants and other denizens have to migrate from higher realms." Younger Twin nodded but Lind then wondered what he would be facing in the special realm.

As if reading his mind, his Master only smiled and waved his hands. A tear opened in the air and the pressure made a cold sweat break out on his skin. Lind felt his instincts scream at him!

"Your own ability made me push the limits of my authority left by my original self. Even then, it might only aid you. This is not something part of the original path of trials to claim the legacy." Younger Twin then perked up as if he just thought of something.

The pair suddenly appeared in front of him and touched his forehead with their fingers. Knowledge flowed like mountains into his mind!

There was no intent nor any kind of connection to either Twins' path, just knowledge and some enlightenment on what he had already accomplished with leads on how to improve. The profound knowledge fused with him and he fell back only to see his Master grab at him.

The firm grip barely registered before he was tossed unceremoniously into the tear! It snapped closed behind him before he could even stabilize himself.

He found himself in a place of forces far beyond him! He had experienced so much but the flows of power around him were fantastically greater than anything ever before!

Lind worried about being injured but realized his body was tolerating it fairly well. In fact, he felt kind of wonderful. His flesh and blood sang with something in the storm of energy but he slowly came to realize what was happening.

His Master had taken out the middle man.

Instead of having to deduce the forces behind Heaven, Earth, and Qi but natural exposure to adventures in the wider world, it was all raw around him!

How?! Master Tiers had that kind of power?! How did anyone fight them if that was so?! He had seen the royal kraken and others over his short time in the Divine Lands but then he recalled how exhausted Younger Twin looked. He even took days in that courtyard to accomplish it so how much time had it really taken?

Lind suspected it was measured on the scale of tens of thousands of years.

He closed his eyes and dismissed his errant thoughts. The how was not as important as what was in front of him. Any Journeyman Tier would sell their souls to have the chance he currently did.

He suspected, however, that the special realm could not endure it for too long.

He tried to grasp what was going on around him but it was like trying to catch a flowing river with his bare hands. He might get a bit of it for a brief moment, it would then slip through his fingers despite his efforts to keep it.

The energies were just too alien and too powerful! He was given humility to the extreme that the Twins, just Divine Wills, could wield such power!

He was floating in the flowing light of energies that made all else pale in comparison. He tried several experiments but it was like lighting a match in a hurricane!

Anything he conjured or tried to control externally was shattered into oblivion!

[Haro?] He tried reaching out to his ring but nothing came back. It was like Haro was not there but more likely the transmission was destroyed like everything else.

He tumbled for a bit more but he had no idea how to use the environment to induce his Mystery!

His long years of research and experience gave him ideas aplenty but unlike his other Mysteries, it had to come from without, not within. He had to condense a concept he grasped from the Divine Lands themselves.

What did that even mean?! Why was the Divine Realm so complicated?!

[I have been to the spirit world and learned so much but lost part of it when I created my body too. Was there something there I could not retain without being a Divine Realm?] He had a new thought and decided to delve into his memories.

It took an unexpectedly long time before he realized they were not sealed but truly gone. He did see a few more things he had been unable to remember before but nothing too mind altering.

He was about to move on when an image appeared.

It was more solid than its surroundings in that ephemeral world. It was a sphere of black and white intertwined.

Yin and yang were familiar to him but when he saw that image he saw something he had forgotten.

Cracks in the sphere! The black half was riddle with cracks! The white was still intact but he saw the tiniest signs of whatever caused the cracks in the other half about to spread.

With his new understanding he knew what he was looking at even more deeply than before!

Heaven and Earth! The very core of Heaven and Earth!

He also understood what had happened. The Bastard broke the restraints and violated the fundamental Laws of existence by becoming a Fiend. Yet, why was only half of the sphere affected?

If white was Heaven, then black had to be Earth. So why was only Earth cracked? He seemed to remember thinking about it before but the memories were gone.

Now, he saw things differently. Heaven and Earth was both 2 separate things and 1 composite thing.

A question suddenly occurred to him. Which came first? Which created the other? The various rules, Laws, and Daos all seemed to be following some pre-determined pattern but which one?

He could not reach the sphere anymore but a thought occurred to him. Earth had been damaged by the Bastard and likely by him now. Would that not indicate the truth?

The greater power would be first?

[Heaven is the Origin.] The words were simple but Lind felt the entire realm shift around him. The once imperceptible energies began to make some sense to him! He was able to pull on the various waves that resonated with his newly grasped Mystery!

Heaven and Earth were above all cultivators but Divine Realm was a step beyond yet one force remained firmly over them.

Heaven!

Heaven dictated the tribulations but it was fed by Earth so the origin had to be the former!

Heaven was the birthplace of all the forces and condensed Earth to complement it. He had been pursuing one facet of it for so long that he now had grasped the key step. Why were 6 elementals so damned different?!

All other variations of Soul Cores had no strange quirks to them. Even 5 elementals while facing some difficulty could adapt skills and Arts to their alignment given time.

The 6 elementals, however, introduced a drastic shift away from all the others. Now his emerald eyes narrowed as the Mystery condensed with a milky white color in his Heaven Layer.

If Heaven was the Origin, it held the answer!

Lind's body began to change. He had overcome the tribulation but he needed the first Heaven Mystery to unlock all the power he had achieved!

HIs flesh and blood improved, his soul, fused to it, became even more profound but his harmony as the greatest change.

Ever since arriving in the DIvine Lands, it had remained stuck at the Dao grade. It could not advance but it had been enhanced by his previous 3 Mystery layers.

Now, its power exploded forth and left him in the dust! He could no longer perceive what it was!

His draconic roar reverberated as cracks began to form in the realm around him! The energies were resonating with not only his newly condensed Mystery but also his harmony! The once chaotic field was being transformed into emerald!

The sound of shattering glass echoed around him as Lind was tossed out into a new storm. Reality was not right!

Lind quickly realized what had happened. He was in the Ruined Islands!
