Chapter 1444 - 1443 - 6 Elemental vs 6 Elemental
Chapter 1444 - 1443 - 6 Elemental vs 6 Elemental
Lind had watched Fey almost toy with her opponent yet it was but the beginning. Each Sovereign Tier fight resulted in death. The only difference was if it was true death or just the body.
Several souls were preserved and his Harmonic Dragons were already trying to build bodies for the displaced souls.
It was one facet that no one had believed him until he demonstrated his body was constructed. Further, Harmonic Dragons seemed damned good at making bodies that were compatible with Immortal souls.
They would have to start over for the most part but getting back to the Immortal Realm would be only a matter of months for them.
They did not need to know that, but there was a catch. A new body was not their original. Unlike his that was forged in a place he could quite literally make it up of his energy, the new bodies here were more practical. It was based off a sample of the original and nurtured by proper Laws and Arts.
He shook his thoughts away as he looked at his own upcoming fight. It seemed someone was laughing somewhere.
His first fight would be against another 6 elemental human.
Further, it was someone he had known a long time ago but had not met since they were a teenager.
"Wyndam, your son has grown up." A man with sandy colored hair and a well proportioned body. His mother clearly influenced him but even Lind did not know which twin it was. They preferred to keep that a secret of their family for some reason.
Still, the boy had become a Sovereign Tier and shared his father's intelligence. Even more, he was a born warrior.
His harmony was a dark bronze in color. A rare one. It was mostly associated with those that became walking weapons. They needed no swords, spears, or other external aid.
Their body became the embodiment of power.
Lind looked into the wine red eyes and smiled.
"You are doing well Maren. However, it would be wise to withdraw. I will not hold back." A frown marred Maren's face but he could not refute Lind's words. They were both 6 elementals but Lind was also a dragon.
In terms of sheer strength, Lind was head and shoulders above him.
"I will not yield. I will win!" A bronze glow covered Maren's body and even Lind acknowledged what he felt.
Dao. Pure Dao from the harmony the man had cultivated his whole life.
Even the dragon judge smiled at the feeling. They respected warriors like Maren a lot.
"Death is a possible result but any intentional attack on an opponent that has surrendered will result in cripp–" The Harmonic Dragon froze as it looked at Lind. He sighed.
"I swore an Oath to this effect. I am subject to the same rules." The dragon swallowed and nodded. Maren actually went wide eyed.
"An Oath? Why?" The judge looked at Lind again. Honestly, was it not clear?
"They won't attack me. None of them." It was a simple matter of bloodline restriction. He was the ancestor so not a single one of them from any generation could even contemplate putting a scratch in him.
The only viable result was swearing an Oath that was about as useless as a fire in a volcano.
He would never attack someone that had surrendered. Yet, it was the only way to satisfy those that wondered if he would be above the rules.
Maren nodded and assumed a wide stance but the glow of his harmony shifted. Lind actually felt his instincts warn him. A smile crossed his face as the judge dropped his hand.
Both men vanished to exterior views but what followed was quite boring. Their speed was actually very similar. Maren would use fist or leg to strike and Lind easily dodged. He returned in kind or tried to use a Storm Art, only for Maren to easily move out of range.
It was actually shocking for Lind. He had far more power, true, but it meant nothing if he could not hit his target! A smile spread on his face as he let go of his restrictions for fear of killing his opponent instantly.
His Dao was terrifying in that it would absolutely destroy a soul if infused into his attacks. He had learned that easily. The fact it purified Fiends was apparent enough to reveal that.
Maren's was nothing to sneeze at either. Lind felt danger, real danger, from the aura around his body. His harmony was not just enhancing his body, it was on another level.
Both paused across the battle ring but neither was even sweating. They had not even come close to straining their abilities.
"My father told me stories about you, Lord Frey. I remember him always saying you were born to be a scholar but was never allowed to be. You became what you are to survive, but you rely on knowledge too much. You do not fight with your life on the line enough!" Maren's aura shifted.
The bronze color darkened until it actually became almost metallic in nature. Lind summoned his scales in response. He did not entirely understand Maren's words.
He loved knowledge, true, but he had been raised to fight. The Frey Clan in the Southern District of the Lotus Empire had not been a kind place. To survive, they learned to fight even at the Body Refining Realm.
Wyndam met him much later when he was forced to take it easy. His body had been ragged from barely surviving after getting his dragon soul.
Of course that was a vastly different time, but Lind smiled nonetheless.
"Your father was a brother to me. Between the 2 of us, however, he was the academic. He paved the path so many of us followed. I struggled to keep up with him as he created Art after Art." Maren actually smiled wide. The metallic sheen on both their bodies stabilized.
"Let us see who is stronger!" There was no evasion as dragon scale and harmonic armor clashed. The shockwave actually cracked the ring! It was reinforced to withstand peak Sovereign Tiers but the pair in the ring proved they were above even that!
[ACTIVATE RESERVE PLAN NOW!] Lind's voice thundered in the judge's mind. The man instantly slammed his fist onto a pedestal just to his right. The weaving suddenly became emerald in color.
The power of Dao made all watching shiver. Other fights paused as they all knew what such an aura meant.
There were 2 Immortal Sovereigns using Dao to fight!
The audience went wild as the displays provided broke down what they were seeing. Even World Realms could perceive the battle with that aid.
Lind was sent flying as his scales shattered! A direct strike and he had lost?! How?! His body healed as quickly as it could but Maren did not let up.
He was on the backfoot as strike after strike came in. He avoided any vitals but his defenses were as good as paper in front of that bronze aura!
Lind finally vanished from his position and flew straight up. Maren followed but he was far slower in the air!
Lind pushed his transformation and his tail with claws appeared. Maren finally had trouble but Lind still lost! His tail was severed entirely but a single kick!
It became a war of attrition. Lind regenerated from his injuries but could not inflict any in return. The bronze aura was as good a defense as a weapon!
Time became immaterial to them both as days passed like that until Lind's emerald eyes finally flared in understanding.
"The Dao of Resilience!" His words gave Maren pause. They were both winded and blood stained Lind all over.
He noticed that Maren did not seem as confident as before.
"You are correct. My harmony endures before all others. I eventually cut down even the most powerful foe." Lind was impressed. The man had started long after him but had found a way forward to his current state.
Pride. Lind overflowed with pride.
The first generation of 6 elementals had been those that had either freshly advanced or had to repair their foundation before they could properly cultivate. In other words, they lost a lot of their potential even when following his new theories.
The 2nd generation, however, were the true fruits of all his labor. The first generation had been able to become Heaven Realms for certain but very few became Immortals. Maren was a living example of what they had been able to pull off!
Lind looked around and saw the weavings were running out of power. Holding back Dao was too much.
"I did not think I would need to go all out but you have enlightened me, Maren." Lind had thought his normal tactics would be enough for his first fight, but he had severely underestimated what his own kind was capable of.
Emerald flames suddenly soared around him and became the shape of every weapon in existence. A terrifying pressure slammed Maren into the stone platform.
Across the arena, everyone felt a bone chilling sensation to the core of the very souls. Only one man laughed like a maniac when he felt it.
"YES! Wait for me, Lind Frey!" The Immortal Berserker had already killed his opponent with ease but now he was excited!
Maren could not lift a finger as his harmony was the only reason he was conscious! He looked up and finally understood that his father had been so wrong.
Lord Frey was not an academic. He was a war god!
"I–I surrender!" A blare sounded and the battle aura dispersed. It was not even at full power but Lind still felt tired. He landed and helped Maren to his feet.
"You are on the path to the Divine Realm." He spoke only for the man to hear but he froze before breaking out into a wide smile. They left the stage together to uproarious cheers. Their battle had been a few weeks it seemed but he still had time.
The weaving elimination round was next!
