Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1414 - 1413 - Settling a Throne

Chapter 1414 - 1413 - Settling a Throne

Lind was deep under the ruins Ethry had created. A chamber was there that once held the powerful intent and arrays created by the founding Stonehide Clan members.

He still recalled Ethry's words.

With all the Sovereign Tiers dead and the Fiend taking over, the claim of the land would be weak. None of the existing dragons would try to lay claim to it in the chaos, and being of a Divine Bloodline, Ethry could wipe it away herself.

Without that claim, the barrier made by the Sovereign Tier Stonehide Clan would vanish! That was not all.

Lind learned of the Emerald Roost. He had no idea such a miracle had occurred to his tribulation. The eggs had matured but had yet to hatch. It was like they were waiting for something.

She suspected they were waiting for him. She also shared what she knew from her race memory.

A dragon land could be converted into a Throne under 3 conditions.

Condition 1 was already done, the Stonehide Clan was destroyed. The Fiend had seen to that.

Condition 2 was much harder. A Throne required a core concept to center around its creation. Some might think a Law or even a pseudo-Dao would be enough. Yet, it had been long proven that was false.

Entire sects and beast clans devoted themselves to Laws or techniques, yet they could never make a Throne.

Lind, however, was as unique as he could get. His focus on 6 elementals and his harmony in particular, made him the perfect candidate to create a Throne.

The last condition was also delivered by the Fiend.

A Throne had to be acknowledged by Heaven and Earth. Thanks to his many battles and experiences, it was safe to say Lind had earned the right as a Sovereign Tier to establish a Throne.

It would not be for the Frey Clan, but for the race he was creating. The Emerald Roost would be the core of his new Throne.

Ethry had convinced him and once the intent was lifted, he felt it. His study of the various lands and the Thrones let him feel the world respond to him.

Heaven and Earth also let him feel approval. It was like the information was put into his mind what to do next.

The other Immortals and beasts could now flee, but he had to focus as that damned Fiend was not dead.

Heaven and Earth was restricted by its own rules. The Divine Fiend had not exerted its power and thus could not be ejected yet. It was also far stronger than anything that could safely be used in the 4th layer of the Celestial Fields.

Only one chance remained.

Lind had to establish a place under his absolute control.

At the heart of the Stonehide Clan was the initial place they carved out as their own. Ethry now claimed it and all 6 natural elements fused with the small plinth set there.

It was a simple focusing artifact to help maintain the control of the land. It made sense for later generations to simply infuse their will into the established intent.

Lind was going farther. His fingers glowed with emerald light as he could not wait.

"Do what you can, but do not die on me, Ethry." She smiled as prismatic scales shimmered and her giant maw opened to launch the flames she was famous for. The injured Fiend could no longer ignore such a potent attack in its current state.

Before, the possessed body was an effective shield but the Heavens had stripped him of even his natural defenses while his body repaired itself.

The restrictions on him were clearer than ever. Divine he may be, but his power was limited if he did not want to be sent back to the Divine Lands.

Lind entrusted the battle to her and focused on what she had described to him. His mind flowed into the pedestal and the land it was connected to.

He overwrote Ethry's intent as she only really took it to prepare for him. The land changed drastically at that point.

All 18 elements not only appeared but shifted as 6 nodes also manifested to fuse them together just as they were in his crystal.

Understanding flowed in him but he did not lose himself in the knowledge. Time was not on his side. Normally, establishing a Throne was far more time consuming but he could short circuit that time by using a land already infused with all he was.

It was unexpected but made the next part a lot easier.

"Break!" His harmonic flame leapt to life and consumed the pedestal! Emerald light blazed like a sun as he felt his mind reach outward like lightning.

A massive shaft of emerald light shot upward but that was not all. He could see it!

The Endless Peaks! He saw many changes, namely the former Sigma Empire peaks were now held by many medium to low powers but were far more cooperative. The Icy Path now seemed more lively as the Frey Clan helped blaze the storms there.

The former place of the Spirit Monastery was now enclosed in a massive barrier. He felt his own intent in it! He saw his loved ones still down there were happily tending to the eggs or guarding the barrier.

[If you wish to ascend, enter the barrier. If you wish to stay, please leave quickly.] He gave a warning and many smiled without moving but a large portion quickly fled far from the barrier.

Black clouds gathered and many Radiant Tiers appeared but dared not get close. The dome began to shimmer until the shaft of emerald light slammed into it from the storm.

He felt resistance at first but once he narrowed in on only the places fused with his will and intent, did it vanish.

He then felt a true strain as he willed it to ascend. It was not enough. He realized simply wishing it was not going to work so he changed perspective.

The Emerald Roost would become the core of his Throne. It would establish not just the new dragon race but a place for 6 elementals of all races!

He would focus on the very basic foundation of what he was. A Divine Dragon Progenitor and 6 elemental. The moment he did that, the various emerald striations lit up like small suns.

The volcano at the heart also shifted colors from natural magma to emerald!

A massive crack was heard and everyone on the ground stumbled but the entire Emerald Roost rose while it transformed.

The once separated peaks actually grew verdant land! Lind felt a lot of the strain fall away but he also sensed danger.

He allowed himself to use his aura to look up and saw the Fiend had Ethry by the throat.

"Stop what you are doing or this fine thing becomes my sustenance!" Lind looked at it and a strange feeling came over him. Not worry or panic, but almost amusement.

"You are not too bright, are you?" Lind spoke mockingly but the Fiend tried to eat Ethry only to stop in shock! It was looking around but the land opened up like an egg as a whole mountain range emerged.

"IMPOSSIBLE! No one can do tha–" The Fiend suddenly began to sizzle and burn. It let Ethry go was it had to focus on trying to stop what was happening but Lind was not about to be merciful.

He felt the Emerald Roost almost click into place and the land around them massively transformed at a speed no one could believe. It was like the 4th layer was in a hurry to appease him!

Lind's Throne expanded for 200,000 square kilometers!

Valleys, forests, and all manner of natural areas appeared but that was not all! Demonic, natural, and Celestial resources flourished like they had always been there!

It was a treasure trove of land but emerald striations began to appear everywhere with eggs on them!

Demonic eggs in demonic areas, natural in natural, and even the few Celestial eggs in the Celestial rich areas.

The Fiend was screaming as a massive wall of pure emerald flames shot skyward at the border of the Throne.

Lind felt better than he had in a long time as he broke through to the mid Sovereign Tier with ease. It was just one step over but it was as easy as breathing compared to what he was told it would be.

Such speed was impossible given he had to tame his power over and over but in the current environment, it was like he intrinsically understood what he had to.

The peak of the volcano became the heart of his Throne. He saw the Fiend slowly collapse as it wailed in pain.

"None of you shall ever set foot here. Your thralls, your agents, and your spies will die if they ever set foot in these lands again. The Throne of Defiance is so established." Once the words were spoken, his harmony responded with joy.

A Dao Throne was near unheard of as many had tried but Lind had succeeded.

{You will be mine in the end! All of you will fuel my Godhood!} A very different but familiar voice reached Lind. He looked down to see the glowing white eyes of the Great One looking back.

"Keep your neck polished for me. I am coming for you." A scream of rage was followed by the disintegration of the Fiend's body.

As he looked out across the newly made Throne, he saw many eggs start to crack and a smile crossed his face as he gently collected Ethry.

"Looks like I am going to be very busy for a long time." She smirked up at him as she glanced out with him.

"A true dragon clan is born here but what will you call them?" He laughed as it was obvious.

"Harmonic Dragon Clan. What else?" She nodded and they sat down on a rocky outcrop as the dragons were born. Tiny roars shook the land but it was all in joy. A new race was born safely in a Throne that none could enter unless he wished for it.

The Frey Clan was its own power but obviously they would be allies. The future was far from settled but it was changing from the harsh climb he had envisioned.

The entirety of the 4th layer was shaken by what had happened and the power balance was completely toppled by the arrival of a new Throne. The future was shifting in ways none could predict but always there were those ready to fish in troubled waters.

Battles still loomed on the horizon but for the moment, all waited to see what the new Throne would do.
