Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1341 - 1340 - Terms

Chapter 1341 - 1340 - Terms

The Silver Dream Auction Hall was completely full to the brim. Even the VIP rooms were standing room only!

Normally, that would be cause of massive embarrassment on the part of the hosts and likely an all out brawl due to the disrespect of making powerful people share such space so compactly.

No servants or entertainment, just bodies smashed in together. The viewing arrays were also pushed to the limit to let all see as much as they could.

One would think some stunning treasure was being offered up or something that could elevate a Radiant Tier directly to the Sovereign Tier but it was just 1 man.

He calmly sat at the center of the stage on a simple wooden chair. His crimson and gold robes spoke of Clan and his position. He was the Founder of his Frey Clan. His vibrant emerald hair marked him as easily as anything else.

His reptilian eyes were currently closed but all felt as if he was looking directly at them. He was changed from what few could recall from either reports or meeting him previously. The pressure he gave off was actually like a Sovereign Tier.

It should have been impossible but many that had met such beings and the aura was identical. Further, it was far above a freshly consolidated Sovereign Tier!

Agents for those beings had quickly reported it and artifacts had confirmed the aura was not due to formation nor weaving!

It was purely the man on the stage!

It had taken weeks to plan out the gathering but when everyone learned Lind Frey had come out of seclusion, they had quickly organized as no one was to be excluded. Some found that a bit worrisome as surely he could not take them all inside the Inheritance, right?

It took days to get everyone inside and set up external projection arrays as well. No one would be left out and even remote viewing was enabled. Expert formation masters worked tirelessly to make that possible.

The amount of resources sunk into the project was astronomical. Yet, not a single complaint was given when they were asked for. The Divine Inheritance was that important to the supreme powers and all their subordinates.

The council of the Silver Dream Pavilion were all nearly passed out backstage as they washed their hands of the whole mess. It had been moving mountains just to keep the peace and Lind Frey simply spoke and people obeyed.

The universe was not fair at all!

The man in question calmly sat at the eye of the storm without any indication of all the work needed to make the current situation possible. Evie had worked hard he knew, but the rest had dug their own grave with their complacency.

He was also doing what everyone perceived. Since he had awakened and consolidated his cultivation, his aura and powers had exponentially improved. He did not actually know his limits as he could scan the entirety of the 3rd layer with none the wiser!

Formations and weavings still impeded him but he could push past if he wished. It was simply astonishing. Of course he would have to pay the commensurate price of Qi and Laws as always.

The farther away his target, the more power it took. It made perfect sense but the more terrifying thing was when people were in front of him.

He was able to scan anyone below him in cultivation normally but even then there were limits. The more profound their path or the more niche their abilities, the more limits on his comprehension of what he was seeing.

Now, he saw complete dantians, meridian pathways, bestial bloodlines, or whatever made up a particular individual. That had nothing to do with his elevated cultivation nor his status changes concerning the Dao.

He had no idea why the deepest secrets of each person were laid bare before him but he pushed it aside as it was not the time to focus on it.

It was time.

He unleashed his full aura as an emerald glow came to his whole body. The chair and stage were considered peak grade 7 artifacts, able to withstand the pressure of even the most powerful treasure the Celestial Fields had to offer, but now they shattered!

He had not intended to do that but he stood up as he let his power fly. It was better to start from a position of authority than to deal with fools.

Those below the Radiant Tier nearly collapsed from his aura but even they did not do too well either. No one could resist him at all. All the beasts in range of his aura also knelt in awe towards him.

He was not exerting either his Divine bloodline nor his True Lord power but it did not matter. Like everything else, his bloodline had been refined by the half-step Dao elements in his crystal.

He let it linger for a time until he retracted it enough that his point was made.

[I will keep this short and to the point. I am a Living Key at this moment. Unlike using the 2 artifacts in conjunction, I can simply unlock the Inheritance. I have no limits on who I can allow in but there are things you need to accept.] His mental voice was heard all the way to the Serenity Sect and the remote tower of the Goddess of Illusions.

Those in the immediate audience did not know that but those in their local areas were shocked to know he could reach them from so far away.

[To be clear, I cannot bypass the requirements inside the Inheritance. If you are not compatible, you die. There are no exceptions.] He knew the truth of that. The other 2 Inheritances already demonstrated how lethal they could be just to enter them.

Some frowned in his vision but he also felt a few auras flare up.

"Are you saying you will let them die?" A well dressed man in golden robes spoke from one of the VIP rooms. It seemed some pride still had to be humbled.

Lind flared his aura right at him and his face broke out in a sweat. The makeup he wore to cover some unsightly scars evaporated as his dark hair also revealed streaks of white in it.

Clearly a vain man but Lind did not care.

[Open your ears and listen. If you are incompatible with the Inheritance, you WILL die. Not injured, not attacked, nor crippled, just death. The 3rd Inheritance is related directly to the soul. It needs a tempered soul to survive and not all cultivators walk such a path even partially.] He revealed something they did not know to hammer his point home.

[Any further interruption and you will be excluded. Do not test me.] His aura flared in general and silence reigned. [The next conditions are mind alone, not the Inheritance. There is a tally of damage, crimes, and other infractions we laid out for how powers are supposed to act in the Silver Dream Pavilion. I will enforce them.]

A wave of irritation finally flared but no one dared speak. The previous man was still shaking from whatever Lind had done.

[The Frey Clan and alliance powers regulating the other 2 Inheritances will also be compensated for unnecessary aggravation due to the amount of lost disciples and candidates outside of the 2 Inheritances. What happens inside, we have no say over, but the battles you all unleashed were far beyond your authority.] Anger filled his voice.

People had died that were trying to save lives. People had died just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. They did not even participate in the battles!

[Anyone who does not comply, will be denied. Anyone who gets cute and thinks I won't know, test me and find out. I no longer care.] A ghostly dragon shape suddenly loomed and all realized what he had shown was but a fraction of his power!

He really did have the power of a Sovereign Tier while still being a Radiant Tier!

[So, you will all comply with my terms, however, there are exceptions to those terms.] A new ripple went through the crowd at his words. Before anyone could contemplate what they meant, the air shimmered around him.

Emerald blades appeared but they were not just in the auction house. They appeared across the layer! Even the 4th layer was not spared as they appeared there as well.

[Hmm, 5 huh?] No one understood his comment as 5 emerald blades had indeed appeared. They then vanished followed by cries. Shock filled the crowd as 5 individuals were pierced clean through.

He had killed them?!

Yet, all looked on in growing horror as vile Qi appeared they had not seen in millenia. Fiend Qi.

[Did you think they were doing nothing all this time? You have become complacent. I have not.] He was glad to see none appeared anywhere in the Icy Path but sad Annabelle lost a servant to his blades.

All the powers had some but the 4th layer was the greatest shock. The Fiends had survived up there but they were not spared!

The Sovereign Tiers had taken full advantage to finally purge as many as they could during the Frenzy. Now, it seemed they had severely underestimated the tenacity of their old enemy.

[There are powers that have just fallen to my blades. Thralls are not dead but they are guilty. Punish them as our laws dictate. You have 3 months to meet my terms before I enter the Inheritance of Reincarnation. Do not waste them.] He then tore through space and vanished under all their eyes.

Shock made many stumble as the formations in the auction house explicitly prevented that action but they did not even flicker! He was beyond them!

Lind Frey was the unquestioned leader of the entire 3rd layer at that moment!
