Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1340 - 1339 - Unexpected Benefits

Chapter 1340 - 1339 - Unexpected Benefits

Lind dreamed. It was sporadic and full of chaos. He saw cities filling the sky and mountains that moved. He saw oceans of starlight and beasts that swam in them that would eclipse any world he had ever known.

They made no sense but he felt like he was peeking at something beyond him as he felt terror in his soul just seeing the glimpses.

After an unknown amount of time, the dreams changed. He saw horrific battles. He saw death on a scale that made the entirety of all wars had been in but a drop in the bucket. The sheer tragedy could not be perceived by him alone.

Trillions died!

It was not just Fiends, but humans, demons, and all manner of beings. There was no peace, just endless slaughter!

What was wrong with them? How could anyone live like that?

Anger filled him but he was only an observer.

Finally, something changed. It was not even subtle but the Fiends launched an attack that wiped out a continent that could swallow all the realm lands Lind had ever seen on a map.

He realized he was not seeing dreams. He was seeing the past of the Divine Realm!

[Master, are you all right?] Haro's voice softly echoed in his mind. Lind wanted to respond but his mental ability was stretched to the limit.

The dreams ended and he saw something new.

It was a pure white flame with 6 orbs circling around it. He recognized it for what it was but he had never heard of a white harmony before.

{...gon. You are to….ary of the diseased ones. Pr... or die.}

Broken words were all he picked up but pain lanced his soul the instant even those touched his mind. The vision vanished and he sat bolt upright covered in sweat as he saw the open air room around him.

"W–what was that?" His parched throat barely let him talk and then gentle hands pressed against his forehead. Very familiar hands.

He looked up to see his Mother looking at him with concern. He noticed Qing and Ethry were nearby as well. They were all clearly there for aspects of his condition to be examined.

"How long?" The 3 women glared at him but he then realized who was missing. "Where is Fey?!" That question actually came up with shared concern.

"That child revealed the 3rd Inheritance and the spirit in charge of it was very clear that only those with legacies or the 2 artifacts working together could enter. At least until a Living Key appeared." He sighed as his secret was clearly let out.

Even the greatest dullard would be able to put 2 and 2 together after he stopped Fey before she successfully opened the Inheritance. If she was well again, then that meant Lind could help her with both sides of the 2 Inheritances.

"It has been a trying year as you slept, you lazy dragon!" A new voice spoke up but had all 3 women glare at her as Evie swayed into the room. Lind was also about to glare at her but noticed the circles under her eyes.

Her spiritual aura was also not as lively. His Mother was nearly as fast as him to notice the signs and became concerned.

"What has happened?" Evie then outlined the chaos unleashed on the Silver Dream Pavilion.

"A reverse auction?! You are just putting the cleanup in my hands?!" Her smirk was closer to her usual energy but then she became serious.

"There was no other way. Things had gotten so out of hand we had to take drastic measures to curtail the worsening situation. We were just shy of a full out war breaking out." A flash of the bloodbaths he had seen made him shiver.

Confusion flared on all present but he did not explain.

"Fine, I will take care of–" He tried to stand up and felt his body was weak! He had no strength at all!

He was about to curse when a pressure appeared above them all. They glanced up and saw a faint trace of clouds gathering but it was not a tribulation nor any kind of known event involving the Heavens.

Lind felt a strange sensation in his dantian as his body rapidly recovered. His elemental nodes also improved! His body expunged impurities he did not even know were there! All were confused until they felt a pressure far beyond them!

Dao. It was Dao!

[Master, you are now at the peak of the Radiant Tier in all aspects. Are you ready to breakthrough?] Haro's voice entered his mind once more but Lind felt it. His body was taken to the peak.

His power was terrifying. Compared to a normal Radiant Tier, he felt he could take on a peak Sovereign Tier which should have been flat out impossible. The gap between the final 2 tiers of the Immortal Realm was no joke.

Radiant Tiers could already dominate the 2nd layer all on their own. The fact a Sovereign Tier could layout the power of over 1000 Radiant Tiers should make it clear how terrifying the gap between the 2 were!

A peak Sovereign Tier should be invincible in the Immortal Realm save against those on the same level.

Now, Lind truly grasped how even a surface level Dao comprehension could push an Immortal to insane heights.

He had not expected helping to heal Fey would lead to his own advancement!

"Master!" A young woman appeared but he had no idea who she was at first. It was only when his mind took a moment to feel the bond that he knew it was the spirit from his right arm. Abby also hugged him as she appeared as well.

She had also changed. She was far more mature but still clearly fond of him.

"Haro, what–" Before he could ask a question, both his arms lit up and new knowledge flowed into his mind. His improved foundation allowed him to grasp more about the tools fused to his body.

He frowned as he grasped something he did not like at all. Yet, his mind then found a solution.

His fingers lit up as Laws as well as surface level Dao converged on his body. His arms did not show any change but the sigils shifted in ways few could grasp. None present could follow what he did at that moment.

Lind, himself, let his instincts flow with the new knowledge he had grasped. Both sisters squirmed but that was all as his flow of power stopped. He examined his work and it seemed to be closer to what he desired.

"How do you 2 feel?" The pair looked at him confused as words did not seem to come easily to them.

"Master, I feel the same?" Abby put forth her opinion but her sister shook her head.

"I feel distant. I am still bonded but it is like there is a barrier that was not there before." The younger sister had the right of it.

"I made some changes but you remain yourselves. You always remain yourselves." He did not elaborate but the rest of the people watching clearly had questions.

Lind ignored them as he felt his own condition was far superior to before. He had usually exhausted all he had to even attempt a pseudo-Dao creation but now he felt perfectly fine.

He checked his Qi, Laws, and other aspects but no sign of exhaustion was revealed to him.

He put his body through some simple tests and found his recovery rate had increased dramatically. His body regenerated itself 3 to 4 times as fast as before. His Qi replenished at a rate he could not even perfectly measure.

It was like the instant he used up Qi, it refilled in the next instant.

He tried several tests but the result did not change. He could not seem to exhaust his Qi like before.

His Laws, while unchanged on several levels, had all taken a qualitative leap forward. He had no idea what he was anymore due to that as he should have triggered a tribulation at that point but there was still nothing.

The faint feeling of the Heavens had clearly done something to him but he had no full context of what.

"Evie, I will be calling a meeting soon. Let the various powers know I will not tolerate any further disruption to the 3 Inheritances. If they cross a line, I will know." His words were not a mere threat.

He truly could feel the 2 Inheritances now. He could tell how both had become a slaughterhouse compared to before.

He could tell people were being forced to attempt them whereas before it was about compatibility.

He was not happy about it at all!

She nodded at his words and left. His 3 family members looked at him in concern but he smiled at them.

"I think I will face my tribulation soon but I have to find something in that Inheritance first. Fey is like that too. I do not know what all will come but we will both advance on our exit most likely." He did not hide the truth.

Fey was more than likely to appear before him but whether she was a Sovereign Tier already or had to face her tribulation on her exit remained to be seen. Lind suspected both of them would have to face it on their exit from the Inheritance.

He sighed as he began to draw up all he had to do. There was such little time and yet all the time in the world to him.
