Chapter 1320 - 1319 - Divine Creator

Chapter 1320 - 1319 - Divine Creator

Lind was unsure how to feel about being told he should not exist. He understood he had broken many norms and boundaries compared to previously held dear rules, but he lived. Should that not mean he should exist?

A cackling laugh distracted him as the soul seemed to condense its form until a young man stood before him. He was still a bit unstable but Lind realized the soul was a physical existence!

"Hmmm, maybe a few thousand years left if this is the best I can do." Lind nearly did a double take as someone thought a thousand years was nothing!

He had been alive for close to 30 thousand years at that point, give or take some time lost in the spirit world. He was also unsure of time lost in Skinwalker's or other Ruins as time became a variable at times for those.

He was technically older than his wives but they too had some variance due to similar adventures. Many of them had started as older than him but his travels had put him ahead in most ways.

The young man had on simple robes of silver and dark hair with pale skin. His dark eyes also looked at him in mirth as he sat across from him. Lind was wondering what was going to happen to him when an artifact appeared.

It was a floating polyhedron spinning in the air. He wanted to try and see more but it was moving too fast as it spun. It sent out various beams of energy that scanned him until it vanished.

"Hmmm, I see. A true 6 elemental but you also seem to have incorporated the 3 elemental systems into your dantian. Impossible, totally impossible, but there it is. Truly wonderful!" The young man was gleefully looking at him like he was a new toy!

Lind did not like being treated like a thing the most but the pressure from the boy made him hard to disparage or rise against.

As if reading his mind, the boy waved at him.

"I am already dead, good man. I am simply indulging my curiosity at this point. While the spirits are integrated into the Inheritance, I am a sort of backup for awakening or putting to sleep the main Inheritance while I exist." Lind narrowed his eyes at the soul.

The Inheritance of Death spirit might not be what he thought if that was true. Could a remnant soul be inside it too?

"So, tell me your story, young man. How did a 6 elemental become like this?" Lind narrowed his eyes but knew he could not deny the soul.

He sighed and started with a large overview of the elemental theory and went from there. He spoke at length while enjoying the tea offered. It soothed his throat while letting his mind settle.

Despite how long he had lived, Lind focused on his cultivation and his harmony. The soul never interrupted but its smile made him shiver.

"So, the riddle of 6 elementals has been solved. Many tried over the last few billion years but it always eluded us. A new era has arrived and the Fiends are weak to them too!" Maniacal laughter followed those words that made Lind shiver. The soul was clearly not stable on many levels.

"Senior, what is going on? Why are you 2 Inheritances the key to a third?" He wanted to understand their goals but the soul became arrogant and smiled at him.

"Brat, do not try to grasp what is beyond you. The war we wage has many fronts and this is just one of them." Lind would normally bow to such a powerful cultivator. Yet, his anger finally was summoned up.

"Were you not listening? I faced the bastard himself before reconstituting my body. I have had him kill one of my family right in front of me. I have had him conspire to kill my children and my family in general. How am I not involved more deeply than others?" His words made the soul change slightly.

It became solemn before bowing to him.

"My apologies. It is hard to explain but I do not have access to emotions as you understand. I am little better than the spirits that are tools of the Inheritance. Still, you are right." The young man then seemed to think for a time before answering him.

"Understand, I am incomplete. I do not have the full memories of my original. He made me as an anchor for the future of this Inheritance but that was all. I do not have all the answers but that one, I certainly do." The dark eyes seemed to age right in front of him but Lind did not look away.

He waited to see what he could learn.

"In the short term, all the Divine Realm cultivators at the Journeyman Tier and above are trying to improve the races as a whole. As such, several of us got together and made trials specifically to improve the cultivators from the ground up." The soul smiled as it spoke but Lind had already surmised most of it.

Knowing there was a 3rd Inheritance meant Lind knew the current 2 were more about finding the key to the last one than anything else.

"Is the war going that badly?" Lind asked the question he wanted the most to know but the soul shrugged.

"I cannot speak on recent events as my condition indicates my original self died over a billion years ago. Since the Inheritance only opened a few centuries ago, that means Death or Incarnate held on." Dao titles were put out there but Lind felt like they were watered down.

Normally, anything about the Divine Realm, including titles, would cause a headache at least but there was nothing. The soul seemed to see his thoughts and nodded.

"You're stronger than most Immortals but if I spoke their true Dao titles, you would likely be incapacitated at best for a century or so. Regardless, the fact you have half-step Dao elements now means you have a leg up if you can master them!" It was clear the soul was moving past the topic.

Lind sighed but accepted the flow of conversation. If the soul could really teach him, that would be immensely helpful as his month-long attempt had little to no change in his ability.

"May I know what to call you, senior?" He cupped his hands and bowed to the soul. The youth smiled and put a hand to his chin as he thought.

"I supposed Divine Creator would be the closest. My name is gone already and my Dao title would hurt you." Lind accepted it and they began to have an actual discussion about the elements.

The soul knew little about Celestial Qi but Fiend Qi was far more than even Lind knew. Divine Creator clearly had waged war with the Great One and his forces for most of his life before the Inheritance was created.

Most of it was familiar or simply more in depth on the topic Lind already knew and he explained his confirmed theories on the relationship between the 3 elemental sets as well as the Laws he had touched on.

Lind actually became the teacher when it came to harmonies.

He explained how a 6 elemental fused their harmony to their soul to make progress on their foundation far more stable. The various intents and other aspects of harmonies fascinated Divine Creator to the point they spent a month alone just discussing the various effects!

"So your harmony can consume Fiend Qi and transform it back into natural Qi?" The current conversation had been so in depth that Lind had to summon his notes and journals on the subject.

"I used to think that is what was happening but I suspect it is a clash of intent or something else going on now that I know what my harmony actually does. Defiance is not simply all it is." Divine Creator shook his head.

"You underestimate that concept. Defiance seems vague to many but the reality is that all Daos are vast and powerful when fully understood. You have seen its effects but you have no control of it. Even grasping what it is took you so long because it is one of the more difficult concepts to grasp." Lind accepted that.

He had been frustrated that others understood their harmonies all the way back in the Soul Realm but his kept showing different aspects to complicate what he thought it might be.

"Now, I understand how you could condense the 3 disparate elemental cores. Your harmony is a large part of it but it is also how you don't hold onto your preconceptions. You start from the premise that you can be wrong and accept change so long as you can verify it or it solves issues you have struggled with." Divine Creator smiled at him.

Lind felt shocked. Was it that simple? Could other cultivators also use other elements at the higher realms if they let go of their preconceived notions? Other cultivators seemed very unlikely to do so but there was 1 subset that held the possibility.

"Are you saying the other 6 elementals–?" Divine Creator nodded vigorously.

"Indeed. Unlike the aether children or Elementals that are born directly by Heaven and Earth, humans and demons are far more flexible. The existence of 6 elementals seems like a step between the 2 sides of manifested beings and cultivators. In that halfway state, more things are possible." Lind felt his mind suddenly go into overdrive.

If what he was saying was true, the power of 6 elementals had been barely scratched!

Almost none could replicate what he had and some would be struggling due to their nature or harmony itself, but a vast majority of 6 elementals could incorporate other elemental systems into their dantian with the right techniques and time.

It would require a complete rework of body cultivation for them if they did it but the possibility existed!

It also became a massive threat to other powers.

The bedrock of many defenses were based on enemies being of a different elemental set. He was an anomaly and very powerful with connections to even more powerful beings. Thus, so long as he did not cross some bottomline, he was relatively safe.

If an entire subset of cultivators came into being that could break the norms all were used to living in, it was likely to start a war to prevent them from growing stronger or trying to poach them into their own powers.

He looked up at Divine Creator and saw all his thoughts laid bare.

"I cannot speak for others, but the potential you have revealed would make many Divine Realm cultivators actively send agents to recruit your people. They would push Heaven and Earth to the limit to nurture such power. It would ravage your world." The grim voice spoke and Lind could see it all.

Until he was strong enough, it was a secret he would have to take to his grave!
