Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1185 - 1184 - Taking the Lead

Chapter 1185 - 1184 - Taking the Lead

Lind felt tired. He had used elixirs to support his efforts but now he truly needed to rest. Making the Law Gate to connect to the gateways was harder than he thought it would be.

It would break after what he made it for but hopefully someone would be wise enough to bring some materials to make a gateway.

The buildings looked impressive but they were empty! It was the same as the frame of a house! No plumbing or electricity had been set up!

Still he was able to Forge all of it at least to mid grade 7. The citadel was the most complex arrangement but the rest of the buildings were for smaller and larger dragons to have a place to stay with the future of other races coming to call.

Spirits knew there was room to grow as the battle had destroyed everything. He also looked to the north.

The dead barrens loomed just in front of him but he was in no condition to go there now. He finished erecting several barriers but he had to stop after that entirely.

He flew up to the tallest tower at the heart of the new city he had Forged and it was an open kind of eyrie that was open on all sides. In fact, many of the buildings were left open like that.

The roof of each was at least 10 to 15 meters above to accommodate the dragons' natural bodies to a point. It also still allowed humans and demons to interact without things being too out of reach.

He was cultivating but the Law Gate began to have new arrivals far faster than even he expected. Most of them were young men and women in appearance but they were dragons. He had made the gate large enough for Sky Realm and below dragons to come through.

Soon, larger figures arrived and all looked around in wonder and caution. Lind let his aura fly freely unlike usual where he restrained it. His True Lord aura made all bow in respect before claiming various areas.

Many were surprised as different areas seemed almost customized for their clans!

Shadow Dragons found a substructure set up ideally for their desire to get away from light to improve their grasp of darkness Qi. Simple elemental dragons found ready made areas to set up their respective enclaves as they would at home!

Dragons of mixed elements were more common but those usually chose environments like bogs, mountains, and so forth their focus. A mountain dragon could be covered in scales far thicker than others with wings that span nearly half a kilometer at the Immortal Realm.

Deep sea dragons created roosts on the floor of the oceans but were so long as to be mistaken for mountain ranges underwater!

The various dragons began to pour in as the week went on. Spikes of elemental Qi began to spring up but Lind smiled as his weavings reacted.

Sigils and Laws blazed to Immortals as the Qi became more pure as time passed. He could not pull of the current Rubyfire Kingdom, but the powerful areas the dragons set up fueled a similar effect.

The main difference was he was purifying things for dragons alone. The Qi was aligned with his soul so all dragons felt the immediate benefits. A new wave of much younger dragons arrived after that became clear to them.

The small roars made Lind reminisce about his children but he had long recovered to his peak. His damaged body and meridians were operating perfectly. Still, he took time to check himself over and took a few elixirs to be safe.

He found a few minor issues and a few cultivation sessions resolved all of it.

It was a solid month before Amares came flying up looking a little haggard. The boy was only a World Realm but he and Serat had been designated as his emissaries for the arrivals.

"True–" Lind held up a hand to stop him.

"You and Serat are my kin now. My name is Lind Frey. At the very least, you 2 can use my name." Amares shook his head vehemently.

"We cannot!" Lind sighed as he expected but then made a compromise.

"Very well, but then at the very least call me Ancestor." Amares paused and then slowly nodded.

"Ancestor, most of the known dragon clans have arrived but they do not seem to want to meet without a battle." Lind felt an old vein throb on his forehead.

He raised only his left hand and all 5 fingertips glowed. Space distorted suddenly as at least a dozen men and women appeared on the platform next to Amares!

Some of them were in pristine robes but more than half were bloody and hurt. Lind sighed once more before an emerald wave swept outward to heal them. A shocking application of his power made it clear who he was.

"I have not been just sitting up here recovering for the last month. I have been watching you all." Lind did not mince his words. Several of the figures had radical coloring but they were all incredibly handsome.

The pride was clear but known openly defied him. Some reverently bowed but then he waved his hands again.

Space distorted once more and 7 more individuals appeared. They were all in a lotus position but were calmly opening their aged eyes to look up at him.

"Seniors, my apologies but time is not on our side. Please forgive my rudeness." He bowed low but the ancient folks only waved it off.

"Ba! I have been bored for so long I was asleep for most of this nastiness! It is good the new True Lord is so active! You have made me amused!" A very frail but lively old woman summoned a staff to pick herself up.

She was barely able to stand up let alone upright! She was a peak Crystal Tier but Lind could tell she could go no farther. Her pure white hair was thin but so long it nearly touched the floor.

Her robes were a pale gray but he thought he saw a shimmer of silver in them.

The other old men and women stood up slowly before bowing deeply to him.

{We acknowledge the new True Lord!}

The 7 voices boomed across the city and the gathered clan heads all knelt instantly. Any trepidation or pride was eradicated by the acknowledgement of the famous ancestors of various clans.

Lind glanced around and frowned suddenly. There were several mate pairs among those on the platform but the majority of them were not Immortals.

Moon or Sun Tier was the average.

It was not good at all.

A figure suddenly came into his range and he smiled.

A wave of his hand and a woman with amber robes and eyes appeared in front of him with a little girl looking around in wonder.

"Teegan and Shea!" The pair jumped at his voice before smiles broke out. They hugged him close and all the dragons present made a deep note of it.

They recognized the Blessed Amberscaled Dragon leader! She had become famous for her gateways if nothing else!

"More will come I am sure, but for now I need to help all of you prepare. The more information I have gathered, the more I am certain that when I succeed, I will need an army ready to kill our enemies, the Fiends." His words made everyone become serious.

"True Lord, what do you mean? The race memory spoke of it as well. Our time of vengeance?" Lind was confused before turning to Amares who nodded that the words were true. He glanced up at the Heavens and sighed.

"The Fiends are the source of the Corruption. That is no secret but their location is here, in the barren lands to the north." Lind was guessing but nowhere else had a reputation nor ability to hide the facility he hunted.

He also did not believe in the happy coincidence that a Dao Grade Celestial artifact just happened to go off over a million years ago.

The gathered dragons all looked north but all frowned.

"True Lord, there is no–" To save time, Lind vanished before appearing deep into the dead lands. He was not in one of the paths he noted but the area of dead Qi.

He felt a massive increase on his ability to fly but he shot back for all to see. It had no effect on him at all!

He was perfectly fine so far as vitality was concerned.

They all had their eyes change at that moment. The gathered dragons were far more established compared to his few millennia of life but now they truly saw his power. Reverence entered their eyes but he dashed their hopes of assaulting the stronghold.

"I am the only one that can go there. None of you would live to make the journey and I am unable to protect you. However, a great battle awaits the moment I succeed. The Fiends slaved to make the Corruption will likely return. You will need to kill as many as you can." His face was grim but he had no idea what kind of state they would be in.

He saw that glimpse of tubes holding various Fiends in a kind of stasis or suppressed existence. There had been countless rows so he had to assume they would be freed if he broke whatever generated the Corruption.

He really hoped not to nearly die but given his foe, his life was not certain.

"There is one last thing. There is a Radiant Tier Fiend." His words made the ancestors snap to attention. "I am hoping, although it is unlikely, that she is restricted in some way. I may die facing her but if this works, the 3rd layer should become open to us once again."

The Corruption was what locked away the 3rd layer from the rest of the Celestial Fields. The Realm Refiner had drained Qi to the point leaving the Heaven Realm was nearly impossible.

It forcibly broke the ascension pools.

He had never once heard of such pools in the 2nd layer or 1st layer to rise up so it was clear that the cultivation realm purely dictated it.

The dragons looked pale but bowed once more. The True Lord was awe inspiring and Lind began to distribute elixirs and instructions. He would spread his theories as it would take months to reach the center of the barren lands.

He could only hope the dragons would be ready by then. It was all he could do.
