Chapter 1146 - 1145 - Cobalt Harmony
Chapter 1146 - 1145 - Cobalt Harmony
Lind only had a harsh talk compared to his expectation of being forced into seclusion again. He had faced physical risk but his cultivation was hardly touched. Chu still gave him an earful but he was able to escape punishment.
After that he concentrated on what kind of space he wanted to create.
The possibilities seemed endless but he had to create something he could sustain indefinitely and also contain his experiments.
The power of a collapsing space had been ingrained into him. Compared to an Inheritance that breaks down into a Ruin or simply leaves desolate land behind, the personal space he wanted to create was dangerous enough to warrant careful consideration.
He also wanted to make it mobile. It was the one thing all the materials on making such personal space agreed on. They could only be anchored in a single location.
It could be a massive space tied to a tiny room or like the tower had arranged them on different floors.
He also had heard of remote access to them but it was far more complicated if he wanted his to be mobile. Maester Atla had demonstrated that access in the tower but it was limited.
She could not reach it outside the tower for instance.
Lind wanted to make it even more complicated by making it mobile but first he had to make a stable one.
He had made a relatively small one thus far.
He could only fit his hand inside it!
To make a true space he could use like Maester Atla, he needed to make at least a laboratory sized one and also allow acrid fumes to leave as needed without causing an issue in the greater world around him.
The latter was actually heavily detailed in the materials Maester Atla gave him. He was not the first production master to need to make a space with that feature.
The strength he needed for the barrier, however, was decidedly not in the materials.
He found that frustrating but put it aside as he began to slowly expand a stable bubble space. It was just an empty area that grew until he discovered a problem once more! It was still very much a physical existence in the same dimension!
He had been in an open space in the forest so he had not realized that issue! He went back and noticed there was no mention of it at all!
Why were these records so useless?!
Lind knew he was a novice at it but considering he could bridge gateways and was able to make the Law Gate when he was only a few thousand years old should apply here, shouldn't it?
He took a breath and realized he was forcing his ideas on old knowledge. It had not worked for him before but he was in such a hurry he was trying to take a shortcut.
Science mostly only had theories and he hardly scratched them outside of the times George was explaining why some hero from his favorite show or book was able to do something insane.
"Uncle!" A little demoness came running into the room with tears trailing down her face. Nana was pale faced behind her. He picked her up and smiled to calm her as she clung to him.
"It is ok, I am here." She seemed to calm a bit but then wailed once more and he narrowed his eyes as he saw why.
"So, it is time." Katerina was bright but she was still a toddler. The breakthrough to the Soul Realm was not so easy despite the lessons they had given her.
"She was listening to me speak about each demonic element when she said it hurt in her belly. I thought maybe she was having other issues but then I felt the surge in Qi." Lind could see it easily but he was in uncharted territory.
Normally he would be dealing with at least a 10 year old!
"Kat, you trust me right?" She looked up with her tear filled eyes and slowly nodded her dark haired head. He smiled at her as he took her to the open courtyard. Nana went and got the others in their rooms until Jur, Bori, and Chu were there with them.
Ranger was off training in another facility but a message was sent to him.
"This will feel strange but it is perfectly normal. Let me tell you about a storm, ok?" No one understood what he was doing at first but as he spoke, all of them felt their dantians stir! It was about the interaction of all 6 natural elements and he slowly shifted to the demonic elements as he spoke!
Katerina calmed down as a strangely blank look came over her face. Lind did not stop talking as he carefully monitored but did nothing to hinder the flow of Qi in her body.
It was gathering like a storm in her body but it was much calmer now. Pressure was building as well but the smooth flow went its course.
A small shockwave spread from Katerina but it was stable! She had done it! Lind was about to smile when he froze.
It was not just a few Soul Cores inside her dantian but 6! She was a 6 elemental but he had heard that was impossible! The crystal in the Rubyfire Kingdom was an oddity with no reference but he could at least grasp how Princess Fyre converted over as an Immortal.
She had acquired all 6 elements by then so nurturing a harmony with their strange technique was feasible.
No one he had helped temper in the Body Refining Realm had that occur either! There was only 1 difference from Katerina and others.
Her birth had been a tumultuous affair; he had helped every step of the way! His eyes narrowed as 2 other babies were long since born with his harmony flowing over their pre-birth existence!
What had he done?!
Katerina slowly opened her eyes with a smile and Lind found another shock! Her eyes had been darkening lately but now they matched the flickering flames at the heart of her dantian. He had seen a black flame and virulent green for demons but now she had a cobalt harmony!
Her eyes were the same color!
"Uncle! It is so pretty!" She was looking around and he knew what she was seeing.
"You have awakened your Soul Eyes. I will help you master those but enjoy the show for now while you follow my instructions." She looked up and saw he was serious so she nodded just as seriously.
He guided her through consolidating her foundation. He also helped her learn the tempering technique for her cores. She was too young to grasp it all so he showed her.
She picked it up quickly after that and stabilized her cultivation at the 1st Tier Soul Realm.
Lind smiled as Ranger came sprinting into the courtyard but saw all the smiles and relaxed. He was grinning like an idiot when he learned how powerful his child was!
"How can she be a 6 elemental, Master? It is a fact none can be born in the Celestial Fields." Ranger was not just making an assumption. Billions of years and a 6 elemental had never been born in the Celestial Fields. Lind was likely a rare one to ascend to it as well.
Princess Fyre was not a true 6 elemental in that sense but she was adapting.
"I think we all know why. It was me. It was all I did to ensure Katara could live to see her as well as that both were healthy. It is something that should be considered carefully for those 6 elementals that follow the healer's path." Lind wondered if other 6 elementals could pull that off or just him.
It may be also the unique conditions of Katara but he had a way to confirm it.
"Jur, please let Princess Fyre know I need to know the status of Marquis Song's most recent grandchild. Assure her I am just following up." She nodded and quickly left to get her jade communication stone.
"Well, at least one thing went well." His words were not missed by Bori as he was closed to him. The young man looked up confused and Lind explained his failure in his current efforts.
Bore now looked confused.
"You mean like this?" Lind felt shocked as a portal opened and a pocket of space was created that was easily as big as the courtyard but did not interfere with it!
"How are you doing that?!" Bori was scared by his voice but the room all looked at the pair in surprise as well. The young man was sweating but then frowned.
"It is like trying to keep my memory and race memory separate. They are both memories but one is mine and the other my ancestors. Lan is better at lightning but I am better at space." Lind nodded and waited for him to continue.
He carefully observed what Bori had done but frowned as he saw how unstable it was. Compared to his own attempts it was much weaker as well yet he did it so easily!
"Maybe it is like our blood. I just understand there are layers to space and like a blanket, I can pick one up and mold it into a shape I desire." Lind felt his eye twitch. He understood what Bori was trying to say but his reasoning was off.
It was not space but dimensions he was manipulating! Lind was an idiot! He had been trying to force space to mold when it was so much easier!
Bori dismissed his example as Lind's hands glowed brightly. His Eyes and Touch were now employed and the courtyard became fuzzy around him.
He saw beneath the surface and understood he was looking at the dimensions that were always there but not necessarily the same as his own. A few felt odd to him so he stayed away from them as he grasped one that was safe.
He could do it! He could make his own personal space!
