Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1131 - 1130 - Revelation

Chapter 1131 - 1130 - Revelation

Lind awoke below the floating crystal but he could not recall when he fell asleep! He quickly looked around and saw Chu struggling to get closer while the royal family seemed to be resting.

Jur was doing fine as well from what he could perceive.

He was about to address the Fire Law Crystal when he froze in shock. He felt his dantian resonate! He looked up at it again and a new name came to him.

Crimson Harmony Law Crystal? Why did he call it that and not ruby?

Still, he found he intrinsically understood far better what he was looking at. There were Fire Laws woven into it but the heart of it was a harmonic crystal!

He could also see the damage. Something had carved several deep cracks into it. The harmony was all that was holding it together but it would fail in time.

He could also feel the tremendous power inside it. If that power ran wild, an erupting volcano would be the least of their concerns.

"Husband, how can you just stand there?" He looked back to see a struggling Chu. Her leather armor was discarded due to the heat. She wore a set of dark robes Forged by his own hands, the same as Jur.

They mitigated the heat and to an extent the pressure of the Laws but since he was wrong about the crystal, the robes were not perfect.

Shock suddenly flooded him as he looked back at Jur. She was comprehending a harmony?!

She was not a 6 elemental but she was clearly grasping something! He was intensely curious but greater issues were at play.

"It would be hard to explain but perhaps it would be best to say anyone like me would be fine here. We would feel right at home." His own words seemed to tickle a memory but he could not bring it forth.

She looked confused until his emerald flames danced in his hands. She then looked very shocked but he waved for her to sit. She was having an issue because she was Immortal.

Her path was set but it surprised him Jur could benefit. She was nearing the peak of the Sky Realm so perhaps adding secondary elements were starting to come to her. It was an important step before she could become a Moon Tier.

Lind turned his full attention on the Crimson Harmony Law Crystal. He could not grasp what Law the Harmony represented but the Fire Laws thick around it spoke of likely clues.

As a dragon, he had a natural inclination for Law of Burning, Law of Incineration, and so forth but things like convection, transfer, or other nuanced Laws were not so natural. Lind knew them due to his work as a Forger more than anything.

Elixirs and weaving had some call for them but not to the extent of Forging. As such, he had almost all the known Fire Laws. The 2 new ones were interesting. Radiance Law and Breaking Law.

Radiance was an obvious oversight on his part. The simple fact that flames lit up a room should have been a simple Law to grasp. He knew more thanks to how light worked as it bounced or scattered in the atmosphere as well so he grasped that Law without issue.

Breaking Law was more difficult. He did not understand why such a Law would be involved with fire. How was it a Law in the first place? He innately grasped the name but the principle escaped him.

He had all the pieces of the puzzle though. Fire consumed, that was the truth but it was not all it did. The bonds from the energy flames used broke the bonds in materials as well. What was once a solid piece of wood was reduced to ashes.

The mass was not the same. Part of the mass was destroyed into gas and other base elements by the flames. Lind would normally think of that as conversion rather than breaking but Laws were not so fickle.

It was the basic foundation behind each aspect of existence.

Breaking Law seemed more fundamental than what he was trying to grasp. He could not separate consumption in his mind. He had to carefully pick it apart and realized he was making it too complicated.

Everything breaks down. It was inevitable whether it was food in the stomach or simply the passing of time. Nothing could endure forever.

Something would weaken and eventually crack. Even the crystal above him was never going to be eternal. A natural breakdown was inevitable.

"Breaking Law, huh? Maybe it is not solely about fire?" Lind mumbled aloud a thought and his mind suddenly cleared! Of course! He was too obsessed seeing Laws isolated once again!

He took a breath and with fresh eyes comprehended the Laws not only as relating to Fire but to the world at large!

His theories helped change how the relationship between elements were perceived, but now the same shift in Laws was becoming clear to him.

As an abstract, it was a theory but now he was seeing it as a revelation! The Laws could be shifted to any element or all of them at the same time!

The moment he truly accepted it, the final Law fell into place! Lind suddenly floated upward outside his own volition.

The crowd was shocked but he did not resist. He came to the surface of the crystal and did not stop. He actually flew inside it.

The crystal was not a solid entirely. It was more like a gel made up of the various Laws taking a physical form. The true crystal was at the very heart of it.

It was that crystal that drew him in as emerald light lined his body. He came to a stop just shy of it and was stunned at its size.

The whole structure was easily as large as 2 or 3 Golden Vermillion Inns. The crystal, however, was easily as big as a house! The dark red flame looked very familiar as he had seen versions of it inside dantians before.

Each harmony was unique but colors could be similar. He still was not sure why that was because each harmony could have drastically different aspects to them.

Yet, now that he was looking at the crystal in front of him, a new understanding seemed to come to him.

"Of course, a flame dancer." He could almost see a figure dancing with powerful flames at the heart of the crystal. It slowly dawned on him what he was actually looking at.

Harmonic crystals had formed naturally in the Rakathi Wastes due to its rather unique environment but since it changed, they began to slowly disappear. Later, he was able to create them artificially but they were nowhere near as profound as the ones from the Wastes.

Still, he had found crystals like them in other areas. It was the remains of a cultivator. The 6 elementals sometimes left such a crystal behind but not even he knew the conditions for that to happen.

What he did know was that many studied the 6 elemental problem long before he came along. What if they brought such a crystal up to the 2nd layer billions of years ago. A beast might have found it interesting to–!

His head swiveled back to the palace, specifically down as well. He felt something there! It was faint but he slowly came to a suspicion.

"It was not an accident that beast was here. You were partners, weren't you?" He felt sad for it. It left the mystery of where it had come from but he was living proof of near impossible things coming to be.

There were too many mortal realms and too much time had passed so finding the truth was impossible but Lind made a note for later to himself.

He then closed his eyes as he floated inside the larger crystal. All 18 elements suddenly appeared around him as emerald flames engulfed him.

He found the broken connections and fraying Laws. The balance had been disrupted but it could be corrected.

Fixing it was beyond him, but he could change the flow of the tide in the current instance. He let his mind follow the various Laws and how they felt like they were spinning out of control slowly.

His harmony and elements danced around in a complex array that he had never considered before yet made perfect sense to his instincts! The orbs slowed the damage and his harmony began to compensate for the missing pieces.

The once fracturing crystal began to stabilize but it was not quite enough. Sweat began to break out on his brow as he felt like he was trying to move a mountain of sand. The weight was not the only problem as the grains wanted to flow out of his fingers.

If he did not push it past the current point, it would destabilize and collapse once more. He had to change it to a path it could recover on its own!

The orbs and harmony were spreading throughout the crystal until finally he just barely nudged it in the right direction. The once fraying Laws and their connections to the harmonic crystal heart slipped from his control but it was because it was healing!

He suddenly fell out of the sky and appeared to be about to fall into the magma when Chu used shadows to pull him sharply to her. Only an Immortal could use shadow Qi in such an environment.

He still kept an eye on the ruby crystal and smiled as ever so slowly he could see the cracks become smooth. They would take decades to close, but they would heal. He would want to monitor it carefully in case something went wrong.

If it did, nothing could escape that destruction. He let darkness close in as Chu collected him in her arms. He really had to stop pushing himself. He just knew he was going to get a lecture when he woke up!
