Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1093 - 1092 - Shocking Transformation

Chapter 1093 - 1092 - Shocking Transformation

The Sheref County had been through terrible times for centuries that no one questioned because the bloodline array made things that were so cruel to be ignored. Anything that allowed more death to feed it to unfold without hindrance.

Once those crimes were revealed and also just fools not realizing they could no longer do as they wished, the Rubyfire Kingdom among others were tied up with cleaning house.

Sheref County had the bad fortune of crossing Lind Frey.

Due to revealing their scheme, the count and his family were executed while many of the troublesome soldiers were isolated outside the country. Lind learned that the strange encounter they had on the road were 2 viscounts trying to stop the Count from getting more power by defecting.

They were not any better, it was simply a power struggle between scum.

A key difference, however, was the 2 viscounts were not as horrific with their commoners. They still had a list of issues they should not, but Lind was able to get some aid to send out his healing elixirs to those 2 neighbors.

The training in Sheref County was explosive in its results.

In a single month, half the children became incredibly healthy as they reached the peak of the Body Refining Realm and smoothly broke through to the Soul Realm.

Gilgamesh had only been tied up for a week when the shockwaves of so many breakthroughs reached his senses!

The soldiers from the capital were suffering from terminal shock as they saw commoners sail through the first 2 realms of cultivation like they were nothing!

World Realm adults had to disperse their foundation almost down to the Sand Tier every time. Lind found that concerning to see how poor they were doing due to that. A lot of vitality had been lost due to that but they recovered some as their new foundations were drastically better.

In all of the 2 months they spent making sure the city and neighboring areas could stand on their own had shocked the locals at his efficiency. Lind felt like he was an old hand at building a force and he was only helping existing communities thrive.

He also found the results of Talent and specialty testing. There was a stunning amount of untapped experts.

The basic tests only told him they had the skill to learn but still, it was far higher than he anticipated. There were roughly 100,000 people total in the 2 areas and half of them had some kind of specialty!

Weavers only had 2 but he noted them down. The rest were a bit random but both pill making and elixir masters were 5000 combined! Formation masters were a bit harder to confirm as he could only test they had the basic skills to try it.

Forging was the truly shocking one though. He found 3200 of them! Why were there so many?!

Of the whole it was still roughly right but if the progression continued throughout the other powers, Lind understood professions would explode in the future. Resources would always be an issue but powerful experts had needed numbers to allow genius to rise!

The more experts raised, the more resources would flow!

He presented his results to Gilgamesh and how he tested them. Apparently his method was only a little unorthodox since screening the population was not normal but considering their circumstances, it was likely wise.

The temporary lord of Sheref was overjoyed but he recommended that Lind hold off on officially turning it in as the new noble was on their way to take over.

"Emerald Immortal, once the new Count arrives, are you fine with traveling with me back to the capital?" Gilgamesh was serving Lind in his office in the city. Now that he no longer needed to be in the pavilion, they had officially moved the wagon to an inn.

He had offered their party an official residence space but they politely declined.

The city was in a little better state at the center but the rest of it was just as rundown as the farms around it.

Lind did not have to help much there as Gilgamesh had already started to make reforms more inline with the central lands of the kingdom.

He confirmed his soup recipe was given to the apothecaries and healers for mortals to use. It was effective on Body Refining Realms as well.

He learned how bad things had to become for a disease to rise but Lind held back it was likely the tainted Qi that allowed it.

Even in the Floating Isles, getting sick was quite rare and that was only up to the peak of the Sky Realm quality of Qi on average.

The Heaven Realm Lands had poisonous areas but very few issues with disease.

The 1st layer had no such issues so long as there had been Qi to his knowledge as well.

Thus the only major difference was the Corruption. He was also sure once it was gone, disease would vanish from the realm once again.

"I have no objection but while the wagon has a lot of space, the horses only go so fast." It was true. He had wanted to be as inconspicuous as possible when they left the now rebuilding Crescent City and its duchy.

The wagon was not a façade on top of good materials, he used his weavings to achieve the interior results so they could be undone at any time.

"Ha! No worries there. No one can fly anymore so land crossing and the Gates are all we have left. We use qilin to pull our wagons here!" Lind narrowed his eyes. Qilin were related to dragons but he had not felt them at all.

He let his aura spread but still felt nothing.

"When will the wagons arrive?" He took a guess and saw Gilgamesh summon a jade slip.

"We had to send them back with the wounded and prisoners so they should be here in the month. There is a ridge that is rather difficult to cross so it slows down travel if you send too many at once." That made Lind curious.

Qilin should be able to obliterate any obstacle no matter their elemental alignment.

He went on to tell Lind how they had both earth and lightning qilin while only at the World Realm. Anything higher and their intelligence would drastically increase. It would not be wise to try and use them as beasts of labor at that point.

Taming was fine as that was a bond of trust, usually, so the pair would grow together. If a clan chose to let humans train their younger generation was not a bad arrangement either. Beasts gain experience in battle and the world while having help from cultivators.

Lind was not so idyllic to think such a thing was happening here.

"Are there any such pens here?" Gilgamesh shook his head.

"The only ones in use are for the royal military. His majesty has some as well but they only can be raised to the Gold Tier and even that is with difficulty." That made Lind's eyes narrow.

Only to the Gold Tier? Beasts should be able to progress to the peak of the Sky Realm with ease even with current conditions.

There were a couple of possibilities until something came back to him about the history of Rubyfire Kingdom.

"The Kingdom fell?" Gilgamesh nodded. Of course, the qilin would have a more natural habitat in the sky! The surface was the worst place for them to cultivate!

"The original land can still sustain them but if they leave, they start to suffer." Lind nodded. He had no idea if removing the Corruption would restore the floating lands but he doubted it.

What kept them afloat was destroyed in the crash or likely consumed in desperation to advance in cultivation.

He was not even sure how such lands came to be in the first place if they were not artificially created.

"Let us review what the new Count will inherit and the viscounts are on the way as well, right?" Gilgamesh nodded as the pair headed out.

Compared to 2 months ago there were now healthy and laughing children playing since morning training was over. Adults were hale and full of happiness as well.

Beast materials and crops were being sold at stalls as herbs were brought to trade for Qi stones.

An open courtyard had been converted for basic alchemy and formations training. It was hilarious to see an exhausted Oz and Chu answering all the children's questions. Lind could not offer lessons in elixirs without express permission from the local lord but pills were needed and formations needed maintenance.

A barely alive city and citizenry had been revived in less than 2 months!

"A pity we cannot keep you here, Emerald Immortal." Lind smiled at his words. If not for possible information on what he needed, Lind would have moved on after submitting his results of testing.

The city no longer needed him at all.

"Big Brother! Play with us!" The smaller children came up running and he indulged them as Gilgamesh looked on.

What should have taken decades if not centuries to restore had already had a wonderful foundation laid in 2 months!
