Eternal Emerald Dragon

Chapter 1092 - 1091 - Frey Clan Basics

Chapter 1092 - 1091 - Frey Clan Basics

It was something either bestowed by the Heavens or chosen by the cultivator themselves. Lind had not wanted to create yet another name but taking a title was not a small thing.

He knew Heaven could reject it and he felt resistance when he tried several combinations. 'Divine Elixir Immortal' had been impossible for some reason. Someone may have it or simply was not allowed on his own to claim it.

He tried several other elixir combinations but all failed. He then did what other Immortals had taught him and let Heaven know his desire to have a title. It was not something easy for most but for a Divine Dragon, it was child's play.

There was no grand response or a storm of Qi, it felt like many voices spoke in his mind but he could not grasp it. It was too early for some reason. Why? He had never heard of that before.

An Immortal could either create or request a title. Why was his obscured?

Finally, a single word appeared. He sighed as it was like raising a flag to find him once more but he could only accept it. Emerald Immortal it was then.

"Lind, why are you going so far for such a weak power?" He nearly choked on his tea at Chu's question but it was Oz that surprisingly answered.

"They weren't always so weak. The Rubyfire Kingdom was once one of the mid-high powers of the 2nd layer. It was a floating set of lands before the Corruption brought it all falling down. The present may be falling to ruin but the history and records could be very useful. Some treasures too!" The old man laughed at his addition but his words were accurate.

It was not his only reason though as to Lind an inverted mountain would just be a lot of rock narrowing as it went deeper into the earth. He doubted it was as simple as that.

Why couldn't the spirit give him more than that? He sighed as he began to summon some nostalgic jade slips and scrolls.

"I meant what I said too. The idiot that ran this county nearly killed his residents without a care. Not only were pills used to force their cultivation, nothing was done about any Qi deviation they suffered. Even with my elixirs, if they keep this up they will fall back to far worse later." He separated a few small piles of slips at once.

"Jur and Nana. You will teach the children these basics first. I also want Jur to test them this way." He handed over the jade slips and saw his adopted daughter swish her tail happily.

"Ranger and Chu, I want you to help me work out a schedule with the people in the worst shape I noticed today. My elixirs helped but it did not resolve everything. They will need serious attention and retraining. I can't have them discard their cultivation entirely but some may have to fall down a tier or 2." It was normally not a huge deal but with the Corruption it was just as inefficient and dangerous.

The plain truth was the best he could hope for is to stop them suffering. The children had a chance with some harmonic tempering but even he did not have the resources to pull it off on the scale of a village let alone an entire country.

His wards were helping Amber Scale City but that took time and proper techniques. He would not dare to overstep on the current journey that much. He wanted to find the inverted mountain.

"These techniques are quite refined. They are not as good as what you taught us but they are good for mass teaching." Chu was impressed. She recognized bits and pieces from what Lind taught them but each of their techniques were personalized.

"They are my Frey Clan's techniques. I created them after a lot of experimenting with my elemental theory. At that level there are no grand secrets to worry about but it will give them a good foundation." It was all he could do but in the lower realms it was more about grasping personal elements and basic theory.

"These techniques are insane! Master, you could make a fortune selling–" Oz was looking at a copy and Ranger slapped him over the head. "What was that for?!"

"If our Master was intent on bleeding countries dry, he has much more efficient methods for that!" Lind put a palm to his head as Ranger was not wrong but why did they all assume he was trying to rule the market?!

"Papa wants everyone in the world to be happy. The ancestor was mean when he said that but it made me happy!" Jur suddenly spoke up as she held a sleeping Katerina in her arms. His children knew him best after all!

"Making some money is not a bad thing. Feeding those horses is not cheap! They are Sky Realms ya know!" Unlike humans, beasts appetites did increase as the realm did. It usually had to do with the concentration of Qi in the flesh but horses and other beasts tamed by humans seemed to like to be spoiled in his experience.

Lind knew they were perfectly happy with the food he gave them and he harvested enough to keep in his ring for months! Still, Oz was likely thinking more like his old organization. They had to get supplies and resources flowing constantly to keep up their activities.

If his plan was to restructure a power for himself, then yes, Oz was right but spreading knowledge at that level was going to cost only time.

"Everyone, this is just another front in the battle against the Fiends. The bloodline array obscured the abuses and other useless deaths we already knew but now we are seeing how far cultivation has fallen as well. A high power should not allow their commoners to be so sickly. These techniques will help correct what we found here." His words clarified his position but Oz still seemed frustrated by the lack of profit.

The group studied his techniques as Lind examined what he had left in his ring for herbs, Qi stones, and beast cores. He really was running out across the board but he had a lot of elixirs to cover the lower realms.

He drew up a plan but had to go talk to the guards again. He left them in the wagon and found a young female guard near them. She was at the peak of the Iron Tier.

"You were assigned by Lord Gilgamesh?" She bowed at his words.

"Yes! Thank you for great contributions to the people!" Lind narrowed his eyes at her enthusiasm and examined her armor. Her hair was hidden by her metal helm but her clear hazel eyes were practically sparkling in happiness.

Her armor was well worn and barely adequate compared to the border guards they met before.

"Are you a local before the kingdom forces arrived?" Her surprise was clear but she nodded.

"I saw so much injustice but I could only protect my family by joining the guard. I did whatever I had to to protect my sister." Her eyes lost all light for a moment and a shiver went over her body. Lind's eyes narrowed as he sat down on the bench they set up outside the pavilion.

"Please, tell me about your family." Surprise crossed her features but she relayed a story he knew well. Father died in service but no sons. The count allowed his soldiers to find 'toys' where they wished so long as they left their own force alone.

Women were not banned from joining so long as they had family previously in the forces. Still, they were no more protected even as a soldier. She painted a dark picture he had heard so many times but it made him frustrated every time.

"How old is your sister?" Lind was looking up at the twilight sky when he asked. He looked to see a nervous face on her but he smiled. "I just have siblings of my own. I was just curious."

She slowly smiled and then seemed to consider.

"She will be 14 this year. She is taking care of our mother at the moment." He looked at her sadly.

"Describe her symptoms." He learned a flu had swept the mortals of the city but even the Body Refining Realms were brought low due to their poor foundations.

It should have been a minor thing but the conditions were so poor even in the city itself.

"Hmm, pills and elixirs are no use to mortals but I remember my old creations." He summoned a portable fire pit and began to boil water.

The woman watched as he summoned common herbs and other food to make into a soup. He then infused some basic Qi into it. The previously normal soup became a pseudo elixir as he once made for Teylin.

It made him smile as he recalled his amateurish attempts to help his Clan.

He then put the soup into a bowl and stored it in a simple ring.

"This is perfectly safe for a mortal. Apothecaries could use it as a basis if they want a remedy for such issues in the future but I am sure disease will become rare in the future once again." His words confused her but she nodded.

"What do you want from me in exchange?" He felt a tired sigh build up that he suppressed.

"Hug your mother and continue to spend time with your loved ones. We have so little knowledge of when death will come for us in this life." He saw tears form before he looked away as she gathered herself.

"Lord Emerald Immortal is amazing! I wish all Immortals were like you!" Lind waved it off as he actually felt embarrassed now.

"It is a whim, but if you ever run into those that need help, please consider offering your services. Do not endanger yourself unnecessarily, but do not turn a blind eye if you can." It was not a careless wish but so much darkness in the world needed seeds of light.

He saw her bow before returning to her post. He smiled and hoped his random impulse would spread across the kingdom. Only time would tell if he succeeded but he would likely live to see it.

He resumed his work to create more elixirs that he thought he would need and he mixed in some Heaven Grade as well to be safe. A random act cannot be done recklessly. He had a bit of work ahead of himself!
