Entangled With My Rival CEO

Chapter 94

Chapter 94

The dimly lit bar provided a gloomy backdrop to the storm of emotions brewing within Alexander.

The two days he had spent in Paris had been both a blessing and a torment.

His heart raced as he watched Camilla with a mix of longing and sadness.

He desperately wanted to see her, explain himself, and make amends for everything that had happened.

However, the fear of her reaction held him back.

He knew she would be angry and hurt, but what worried him the most was if she would still reject him after he explained everything to her.

As he continued to watch her, Camilla suddenly stood up from her seat, irritation showing on her face.

Just as she stumbled, nearly falling, Alexander's instinct kicked in, and he started to get up from his seat to go to her and catch her.

But before he could take a step, Edward quickly intervened, offering his support and guiding the visibly intoxicated Camilla away.

A wave of conflicting emotions overwhelmed Alexander as he saw them leaving the bar together.

His anger grew stronger, mingling with an intense curiosity about their relationship, wondering if it was true as the media made it seem.

But what could Camilla have possibly found attractive in that guy?

These thoughts filled Alexander with a powerful mix of jealousy and frustration, leading him to make the decision to follow them.

As he stepped outside, he looked around the dimly lit area, and then, to his complete surprise, he saw two people deeply engaged in a passionate kiss.

And there, pressed against the car in that intimate act, was Camilla.

As he focused on the scene before him, a heavy knot formed in his head, twisting his thoughts and emotions into chaos.

How dare he try to take advantage of her?!

That thought echoed loudly in Alexander's mind, evoking a surge of intense anger that surpassed any mere description.

It raced through his veins, propelling him forward with a fierce determination.

He didn't think twice as he marched up to them, his hand grabbing Edward and forcefully throwing him off Camilla.

The young man stumbled and landed on the ground, his face a mixture of surprise and confusion.

"You bastard... how dare you try to take advantage of her?!" Alexander growled, his voice seething with rage as he looked down at Edward, his eyes ablaze.

Edward, still stunned by Alexander's sudden appearance and accusations, scrambled to his feet.

"What the hell?!" He exclaimed, his voice brimming with defiance and confusion.

"Are you crazy?!... How dare you touch me with those filthy hands of yours?!" he exclaimed, his voice reflecting utter disgust.

"And how dare you try to take advantage of her?"

"... kissing her with those filthy lips of yours as if you were planning on making love to her right in the middle of the road?!" Alexander retorted with even greater ferocity, his words laden with outrage.

Edward's face twisted in astonishment as he wrestled with the gravity of the accusation.

Nevertheless, he refused to be consumed by it, standing tall and locking eyes with Alexander.

"You have no idea of what you're talking about," he retorted, his voice brimming with unwavering conviction.

"You show up out of nowhere, making baseless accusations."

"You don't even know me or my relationship with Camilla," he continued, his face tensing.

Alexander's jaw tightened, his eyes narrowing as he approached Edward.

"Okay, just shut up, because I know for a fact that you have no relationship with her!" he shouted.

"And if there's any involvement between you two at all, then you're likely just a rebound trying to exploit her vulnerable state."

Edward felt a pang of discomfort as those words hit him, but he composed himself and responded to Alexander with an even sharp retort.

"And you...who are you, then?" he challenged, his voice tinged with icy disdain.

"You're the husband who promptly filed for divorce from his wife right after they tragically lost their unborn child... It was all over the news."

Edward shrugged, a hint of defiance in his gaze, as he continued, "So maybe being a rebound for her is actually a better position for me... Unlike you, there are countless opportunities for me and her to grow even closer."

Alexander's anger flared at Edward's response, "Oh, you think you're quite the catch, don't you?" he sneered, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

Edward's face flushed with indignation.

"I don't care what you think of me. I don't need your approval to be with Camilla or even before I kiss her!" he shot back, his voice laced with annoyance.

But that was the last straw for Alexander.

He closed the distance between them and gripped Edward by the collar, "I'm taking Camilla home, and after tonight, you go as close as a single step to her, and I swear, I'll make you regret it," he seethed, his voice filled with menace.

The tension in the air was palpable as the two men locked eyes, each one determined to protect their claim over Camilla.

Edward struggled against Alexander's grip, his eyes burning with defiance. "Save your speech for someone who cares."

"You don't get to decide who she's with, Camilla and I have a connection that you'll never understand."

"You lost your chance with her a long time ago... So get that through your thick skull!" Edward shouted, forcefully freeing himself from Alexander's grip and pushing him away in the process.

Staggering back from the force of Edward's push, Alexander felt anger and helplessness welling up inside him, his fists clenching in frustration.

The words echoed painfully in his mind, making him question inwardly if he had truly missed his opportunity with Camilla.

Suddenly, a bright light flooded the dimly lit surroundings, accompanied by the screeching of car tires and the blaring of its horn, shattering not only his thoughts but also the tense atmosphere between him and Edward.

In perfect synchrony, both men turned their heads to see Camilla, who, in a drunken stupor, had stumbled into the middle of the road with a car hurtling towards her at a dangerous speed.

"Camilla, get out of the way!" Alexander shouted in panic.
