Chapter 91
Chapter 91
The morgue was filled with silence, broken only by the soft sound of heels clicking on the cold, tiled floor.
A mysterious person, dressed in a somber black suit, moved purposefully through the quiet space, heading straight for a specific mortuary cooler.
With deliberate movements, he opened the door, revealing the lifeless body of a man.
As the figure's eyes met the lifeless form, time appeared to freeze, and a profound sorrow washed over his expression, leaving behind deep lines of grief etched upon his face.

Bathed in the room's bright light, a man became consumed by anger, unleashing violent kicks and furious slams that sent objects crashing to the floor.
His rapid breaths mirrored the intensity of his emotions.
Observing the chaotic scene a few steps away, another man remained remarkably composed, hands casually tucked into his pockets.
He silently absorbed the unfolding outburst.
Finally, unable to endure it any longer, the composed man broke the silence.
"Charles..." he called out, his voice a blend of concern and authority. "That's enough."
The enraged man halted, slowly shifting his gaze toward the voice's origin, momentarily stunned by the interruption.
Defiance and curiosity mingled on his face as his eyes locked onto the figure standing before him.
Closing the distance, the composed man stepped forward, emanating a calm strength that briefly subdued the tempest of rage in the room.
"You need to calm down," he declared, his tone firm yet infused with profound understanding.
After a brief internal struggle, the blue-eyed man sighed, conceding defeat as he sank onto a nearby sofa.
"I can't find peace as long as Reynold and my aunt Clarissa remain married," he confessed with a mixture of frustration and despair.
Expressing his frustration, Charles murmured, "Separating Alexander and Camilla was far simpler than dealing with these two... No matter what I try, they stubbornly refuse to part ways for good."
Seated beside him, the composed man approached with quiet empathy, his eyes reflecting an understanding of the gravity of the situation. "Is there anything I can do to help?"
Charles scrutinized him for a moment, searching for something in the composed man's gaze.
A flicker of an idea sparked within him, prompting him to continue, "I need you to meet Megan Hayes... acting as me."
The other man furrowed his brow in confusion.
"As Red Saint?" he queried, his voice filled with a mix of surprise and curiosity.
The determination in Charles's eyes persisted as he nodded resolutely.
"Yes, as Red Saint. I initially believed that exposing my aunt's infidelity to her husband would shatter their marriage, leaving her broken, just like my mother."
"But now, it seems there is only one course of action left."
Intrigued, the composed man leaned in closer. "And what is that one thing, Charles?"
A mischievous glimmer danced in Charles's eyes as he unveiled his plan. "To eliminate Reynold using Megan."
Concern tinged the composed man's voice as he questioned Charles's plan. "She's not an expert in such a field, what if she refuses?"
"Then eliminate her as well," Charles stated firmly.
"She has failed to exert enough pressure on Reynold to finalize the divorce, and if she can't accomplish this, then she serves no purpose to me anymore."
With a nod, the man acknowledged, "You've saved me from ending up behind bars, and I'll be forever grateful to you. If that's what you want, I'm on board to help you make it happen."

In the present moment, Charles gazed at the lifeless body, a fleeting trace of guilt crossing his eyes.
"I'm sorry I tricked you, old friend. You were only supposed to take the fall as Red Saint, not to end up dead."
"But I promise your death won't be for nothing." He gently closed the cooler and turned away heading out of the morgue.

The sound of heels hurriedly clicking on the tiled floor resonated down the empty corridor. "Wait, please!"
The urgency in the woman's voice pierced the air as she sprinted towards the closing elevator doors.
Inside the elevator, the man caught a glimpse of her frantic form through the narrowing gap.
Acting swiftly, he pressed and held the 'Open Door' button, preventing the elevator from departing.
The doors obediently slid apart, allowing her to slip inside just in the nick of time, a wave of relief washing over her.
"Thank you," she gasped, her breath ragged, as she steadied herself against the elevator wall.
Small droplets of sweat glistened on her forehead, evidence of the urgency that had propelled her pursuit.
The man, a stranger to her, nodded in acknowledgment, his eyes brimming with curiosity and intrigue.
"...Camilla Kings, right?" he inquired, his voice carrying a trace of recognition.
Camilla's eyes widened in surprise upon hearing her name.
"Yes, that's me," she replied cautiously, her voice laced with wariness. "Have we met before?"
A faint smile curled on the man's lips, a glimmer of familiarity gleaming in his gaze.
"Wow... It's incredible to see you again after all these years. Those pictures of you online seriously underestimated how amazing you look in person."
Camilla tilted her head, her brows furrowed in confusion. "Huh?"
"Edward Caruso, we went to the same high school back in New York," he explained, and recognition dawned on Camilla's face.
Memories flooded back as she attempted to place Edward's face amidst the hazy recollections of their high school years.
"Class president!" she exclaimed, a mix of surprise and nostalgia coloring her voice.
"Of course, I remember you now! It's been so long."
Edward nodded, his smile widening.
"It certainly has been a while. I never imagined our paths would cross here, of all places."
"Last I heard from the tabloids, you went through a divorce," he mentioned, causing Camilla's smile to slowly fade, replaced by a tinge of sadness.
"Yes, I did," she replied softly. "Sometimes, despite our hopes, things just don't work out."
Edward's expression turned sympathetic, comprehending the weight of her words.
"I'm sorry... I didn't mean to make you feel sad or anything."
Camilla shook her head, a bittersweet smile gracing her lips.
"You don't have to apologize, it's okay."
She let out a sigh. "But enough about me. What brings you to Paris?" she inquired, her smile returning.
Edward glanced at her shyly.
"Well, it's the city of love, and since I've been so occupied with my music, I haven't had time for relationships, so..." He trailed off, his cheeks reddening slightly, causing Camilla to chuckle.
"So, you're in Paris, searching for love?" Camilla teased a playful spark in her eyes.
Edward chuckled nervously, scratching the back of his neck.
"Well, I wouldn't say actively searching... more like hoping it'll come my way, you know?"
Camilla nodded, understanding his sentiment.
"I get it. Sometimes, the best things in life happen when we least expect them."
Edward gazed at her with an adoring smile, his eyes filled with affection.
"Indeed. And sometimes, unexpected encounters can lead to beautiful new beginnings."
Coincidentally, as soon as he uttered those words, the lights in the elevator began to flicker vigorously, drawing their curious gazes upward.
Suddenly, the elevator shook violently, causing them both to stumble off balance.
Instinctively, Camilla gripped the handrail, her heart racing with a mixture of surprise and concern.
Edward swiftly reached out to steady her, his hold firm yet gentle.
"What's happening?" Camilla asked, her voice tinged with unease, as the elevator continued to shake.
Suddenly, it started descending rapidly, the light flickering until it finally went out, plunging them both into complete darkness.
