Entangled With My Rival CEO

Chapter 69

Chapter 69

Camilla stood before the full-length mirror, her eyes drawn to the reflection that stared back at her.

A sense of wonder filled her as she beheld her own radiant beauty.

Her flowing, blonde tresses had been expertly styled into a sleek ponytail, with every strand impeccably arranged.

To add a touch of glamour and enchantment to her look, glistening golden hair accessories were carefully placed, catching the light and emphasizing her overall beauty.

Her choice of attire was nothing short of exquisite itself, as she adorned herself in a gown of shimmering gold.

But what truly took her breath away was the way the dress lovingly embraced her growing baby bump.

With each gentle curve accentuated, it was as if the garment was celebrating the life within her, mirroring her inner joy and anticipation.

The moment became even more special knowing that the gown was crafted by her very own group of talented interns.

Their dedication and craftsmanship shone through every stitch, reflecting their remarkable skills and attention to detail.

As Camilla stood there, transfixed by her reflection, she couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for the beauty that surrounded her, both inside and out.

"Thank you so much, everyone... this is absolutely stunning," she whispered, her voice filled with awe, as her fingers lovingly caressed the fabric.

"It's an honor, ma'am," replied a young intern with vibrant red hair respectfully, her eyes gleaming with pride.

"So... Are you ready to make your grand entrance downstairs now?" Isabel chimed in, her blue eyes sparkling behind her stylish glasses.

Camilla sighed, a mix of excitement and being overwhelmed washing over her.

"Just one more peek," she whispered, stealing a glance at Isabel before her eyes returned to the mirror.

However, the tranquility of the moment was interrupted by a soft knock on the door.

All heads turned towards the door, curiosity piqued with Lauren voicing the question on everyone's mind, "Who is it?"

The doorknob then turned, and slowly the door opened, revealing Alexander peeking through with a warm and delighted expression.

"Hello, everyone," he greeted.

"I apologize for the interruption, but if you're finished, may I have a moment alone with my wife?"

The room instantly filled up with knowing glances, playful nudges, and mischievous smiles exchanged among the occupants.

Isabel grinned widely, her eyes twinkling impishly as she spoke.

"Of course, we're all done here. We'll see you both downstairs," she said, giving a playful wink in Camilla's direction.

"Come on, girls... let's go," she called to the group, and one by one, they left the room, with Isabel being the last to exit.

"Don't take too long," she chimed playfully before she closed the door.

Instantly, a serene silence filled the room, creating an atmosphere where the weight of the couple's connection could settle in, undisturbed.

Camilla's eyes locked with Alexander's, their gazes reflecting mutual excitement and anticipation.

She took a gentle step forward, intending to meet him, the soft swish of her gown accompanying her movement.

But before she could take another step, Alexander closed the remaining distance between them in a swift motion.

And in an instant, he pulled her into a passionate and unexpected kiss.

Though initially surprised by this action, Camilla couldn't resist giving in to the moment between them.

She gave in, and their lips melded together in a passionate kiss, a perfect blend of tenderness and desire, their movements flowing in perfect harmony.

Their bodies pressed together, fitting almost seamlessly like pieces of a puzzle, if not for Camilla's slightly protruding belly that created a gentle barrier.

Reluctantly, they finally parted, their eyes locked in an exchange of adoration and wonder.

Camilla couldn't help but let out a chuckle, breaking the intensity of the moment.

"You just couldn't wait," she teased, playfully pecking his nose.

Alexander chuckled in response, his right hand tenderly caressing her belly.

"I'm sorry, but it's hard to resist when you look this sexy," he admitted, burying his face in the crook of her neck, inhaling her heavenly scent, and emitting a contented sigh.

His actions elicited a happy giggle from Camilla.

"God... It's just been two days and I already miss you so much," he confessed, his voice husky with desire.

Hearing the intensity in his tone, Camilla gently pushed him back, creating a small distance between them.

Her eyes held a mixture of tenderness and playfulness as she regarded him.

"Slow down," she said with a soft laugh, her voice brimming with warmth.

"We have guests waiting for us downstairs... we can always continue later." She assured him, planting a chaste kiss on his cheek but he continued to gaze at her features, his eyes half-lidded with a combination of lust and adoration.

His thumb brushed softly against her cheek, and he spoke with a hint of remorse, "Sorry... like I said earlier, you're just so hard to resist."

Camilla smiled, a blend of understanding and affection shining in her eyes.

"I know... and believe me, the feeling is mutual. But..." She began, only to be interrupted by Alexander, who interjected, "I understand. We have people waiting for us downstairs."

"I know..." he continued, now taking a moment to assess her appearance with a more neutral expression.

He let out an exaggerated sigh, shaking his head in awe.

"Wow!... You look..." His voice trailed off, seemingly unable to find the right words to describe her appearance.

"Beautiful?" Camilla offered, trying to help him out, but he shook his head.

"No, you look like a...a...Greek goddess," he finally concluded, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips.

Camilla took a deep breath, feeling a shy warmth spread through her as butterflies danced wildly in her stomach.

She nodded modestly, accepting his compliment, her eyes shining with gratitude as she locked her gaze with his blue eyes.

His smile widened at her response.

"I have something for you," he announced, sparking curiosity within Camilla.

"What is it?" she asked, her voice brimming with excitement and Alexander just smiled

"Turn around," he instructed, and Camilla awkwardly complied, wondering what surprise awaited her.

Stepping back a few paces, he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box.

Opening it, he revealed a beautiful golden necklace.

The centerpiece was a magnificent heart-shaped diamond, flawlessly radiant and reflecting light from every angle.

A halo of smaller diamonds meticulously encrusted around it enhanced its mesmerizing brilliance, creating an aura of pure elegance.

With a gentle touch, Alexander carefully removed the existing necklace from around Camilla's neck and placed it on a nearby high stool.

Tenderly, he fastened the new necklace around her delicate collarbone, the golden chain shimmering and beautifully complementing her gown while accentuating her graceful neckline.

Camilla couldn't help but smile in awe as she looked down at the exquisite necklace, her fingers lightly tracing its intricate details, feeling the weight of its beauty and the significance it held.

"It's beautiful," she breathed, her voice barely above a whisper, as she turned around to meet his gaze.

In her eyes, a deep well of gratitude shimmered.

For a moment, she locked eyes with him, her appreciation evident in her gaze.

"Thank you..." She muttered.

"...for everything... for today... I..." Her words trailed off as Alexander gently placed two fingers over her lips, stopping her from speaking further.

He gave her a warm, loving gaze as his fingers moved away, now caressing her jaw, his thumbs brushing over her smooth skin.

"Don't try to thank me just yet. You haven't seen the last of it," he said, his voice laced with a blend of seriousness and playfulness.

"Moreover, I wouldn't have been able to pull this off if it weren't for your parents, Isabel, and Lauren," he added sincerely, his eyes fixed on hers with unwavering intensity.

"But you deserve nothing less than the best, and that's all I aim to give you," he declared, his words filled with determination.

Camilla nodded, her smile widening.

"Come on, let's go celebrate your birthday," he said, extending his hand toward her.

Camilla's gaze lingered on his outstretched hand for a brief moment before she chuckled and took it.

"Yes, husband," she replied playfully, a sense of joy and anticipation filling the air as they went out the door to celebrate her special day together.
