Entangled With My Rival CEO

Chapter 133

Chapter 133

A resounding clap echoed through the room as Charles applauded Alexander, his tone dripping with sarcasm.

"Wow!... I guess I underestimated your girl then... hmmm, you're one lucky man, Alexander," Charles taunted.

"It took your lover just a few minutes to discover who I really was when I drove her to her destination, but you dummies, despite spending years with me..." Charles paused for effect before continuing sharply, "...didn't have a clue."

He then shifted his attention to Harriet, offering a bright smile. "Great acting, Grandma... you truly deserve an Oscar," he mocked.

Charles clapped his hands, turning his attention to everyone in the room. "All of this is well planned, but I must mention that if these men were to take me away now..."

He left the sentence hanging, his gaze fixed on the SWAT teams whose weapons and attention remained firmly trained on his every move.

He continued with a chilling threat, "Your dear Camilla and my dear aunt's husband, Uncle Rey, would die," making it clear he wasn't bluffing.

"And in approximately five minutes from now," he added, sending shockwaves through the room.

He burst into a maniacal laugh, reveling in the fear and horror that had gripped everyone present.

"Only I can stop it from happening, but of course, that's if I don't get arrested," he bargained, locking eyes with the horrified faces that stared back at him.

Then, his gaze settled on his mother, who still looked at him in shock, tears brimming in her beautiful blue eyes.

She spoke, her voice cracking, "This isn't you. This isn't the person I raised."

Charles's voice dripped with malice as he replied, "Oh, but it is, dear mother. I've been planning this for years.

"Slowly infiltrating their lives, gaining their trust, just so I could destroy everything. And now, my plan is finally coming to fruition."

"I did this for us, Mom... for us," he claimed, his words chilling to the bone.

"I was going to use Reynold and Camilla as leverage to make your mother sign over the properties to my name and then... Kaboom!" He laughed again, reveling in the terror he had inflicted upon his own family.

"I'd set up a bomb in the house... killing everyone except us. It would look just like an accident... no one would ever find out," Charles confessed, his gaze fixed on Sophia as if trying to make her see reason in his deranged plan.

But she shook her head, her eyes filled with contempt.

"You are a monster... just like your father," Sophia declared, her voice dripping with disdain.

Charles couldn't hide the hurt that crossed his face, tears glistening in his eyes for a brief moment.

Then, a bitter smirk twisted his lips, and he sighed, as if reluctantly accepting her judgment.

"Well, I am his son after all... so yes, Mother, I am a monster," he declared, his tone deadly serious. The room was filled with a chilling silence, the weight of his words sinking in.

----------------------

Camilla remained bound to the chair in the dimly lit room, her hands tied tightly behind her back, causing them to grow numb over time.

She let out a tired sigh, exhaustion etched on her face, as she gazed up at the menacing figure who paced around her, gun in hand.

"Please," she breathed out wearily, "Can you just untie me? I promise I won't do anything... my hands hurt so much." Her plea fell on deaf ears as the burly man continued to ignore her.

Camilla nodded in understanding of his silence. "Fine... can I at least get some water?... I'm thirsty and... very hungry," she requested, hoping for even a small sign of compassion, but the man remained unresponsive, continuing his unsettling pacing.

Camilla, parched and exhausted, managed to form some saliva to moisten her dried throat.

"You should probably just shoot me and let me die a quicker death than let me die a slow death of starving to death," she muttered, her words filled with resignation.

But her words did little to pierce the cold heart of her watcher, and she dropped her head lazily, staring weakly at the ground.

Suddenly, the sound of gunfire erupted, piercing the air. Camilla's head snapped up in alarm.

"What... what's that?" she questioned the man, who had already taken a defensive position.

"Intruders..." he grunted out in his gruff voice, before he moved to the metal door to open it and check what was going on.

However, he never got the chance as a bullet struck him in the head, causing him to collapse lifeless at the door.

Camilla's eyes widened in shock as the unexpected turn of events unfolded before her.

Camilla's shock slowly gave way to a sense of relief as the SWAT team entered the room, efficiently passing over the lifeless body of her watcher at the doorway.

"Miss Kings," one of the men addressed her, his tone reassuring, "Just calm down; we are here to rescue you."

As they worked to free her from the confines of the chair, Camilla's confusion was palpable. "How did you find me?" she asked, her voice trembling.

One of the men, while in the process of freeing her, looked up and explained, "Your bracelet... it's been previously bugged with geolocation and high audio capability."

Camilla was left in astonishment as the other person skillfully released her hands from the chair.

With a mix of surprise and relief, she instinctively brought her left hand up to her sight.

As Camilla stared at the bracelet, it seemed incredibly ordinary, a simple piece of jewelry.

It was one of the many gifts Alexander had given her during their marriage, and she had never suspected that it had been bugged.

Her mind wandered back to the morning of the day she was kidnapped at the hotel.

She had considered going without any jewelry that day but had ultimately decided to wear this particular bracelet, thinking it was simple and matched her casual outfit.

A warm smile crossed her lips as she reflected on the thoughtfulness and protectiveness of Alexander. It was his careful planning that had ultimately led to her rescue.

The rush of emotions and the sheer exhaustion from her ordeal overwhelmed her, and with a contented smile, she closed her eyes and passed out, safe in the hands of the SWAT team that had come to her rescue.

Back at the Cena mansion, the tension in the room was palpable as everyone waited in anticipation.

Charles stood there, seemingly awaiting a response to the deal he had proposed: free him in exchange for Camilla and Reynold's safety.

The sound of Alexander's phone ringing cut through the heavy silence. All eyes turned to him as he retrieved his phone from his pocket and answered the call.

"Hello," he greeted, and the voice on the other end responded, "They are safe." A small, heartfelt smile graced Alexander's face at the words.

Relief washed over him, knowing that Camilla and Reynold were out of harm's way. He nodded in acknowledgment and ended the call.

His gaze locked with Charles's, who stared back at him, trying to discern the meaning of that call and the message it had conveyed.

Alexander's smile widened as he said, "They are safe..." The words seemed to strike Charles like a bolt of lightning, and his eyes widened in shock.

"Impossible," Charles whispered, his voice trembling. But Alexander shook his head with a sense of triumph in his tone.

"It is actually... All this was just a distraction so the other SWAT team members could have enough time to rescue both Camilla and Uncle Rey... I guess your game is up, cousin," Alexander declared, his gaze fixed firmly on Charles.

He then turned to the SWAT team and directed, "Please arrest him," pointing at Charles, who remained frozen in disbelief, his carefully constructed plan crumbled before him.

Charles's desperate plea rang through the room as he looked up at Sophia, his voice filled with fear and despair.

"Mom... mom, save me... don't let them take me away... Mom!" he yelled, his voice filled with desperation and anguish.

But Sophia's gaze remained fixed on him, her eyes reflecting a mix of sadness and disappointment as the SWAT members approached, cuffed him, and began to escort him out of the room.

The once-powerful mastermind behind so much pain and chaos was now powerless, and his fate rested in the hands of the law.

------------------

Two years later.....

The entire Cena family, along with the Kings' who had been invited to the gathering, gathered outdoors to celebrate New Year's Eve.

The atmosphere was filled with a sense of warmth, peace, and love as they enjoyed each other's company.

Camilla stood apart from the group, a contented smile on her face as she looked at all the familiar faces.

She then turned her gaze toward the tranquil waters in front of her, which mirrored the night sky adorned with thousands of twinkling stars.

She let out a sigh of relief, reflecting on the significant events of the past two years.

Charles had been arrested and subsequently given a GBMI (Guilty But Mentally ill) verdict by the judge, leading to his placement in a high-security mental asylum.

In the aftermath of the ordeal, the entire family decided to seek therapy to help them cope with the emotional wreckage that had been caused by Charles's actions, particularly Camilla.

Sophia, despite her deep hurt and the shocking revelation that Charles had killed his own father and biological mother, found a way to heal.

She had secretly been dating someone and eventually got married to him a few months back.

Reynold, though his injuries had left him limping on his left foot, managed to make a remarkable recovery.

He now used a walking stick for support but was determined to live his life to the fullest.

He and Clarissa were planning to renew their vows on their next coming anniversary, a testament to their enduring love and resilience in the face of adversity.

Camilla's life had settled into a state of smoothness, with her business thriving and her relationship with Alexander stronger than ever.

She stood there, taking in the peaceful night, when a warmth enveloped her from behind.

She breathed in his familiar scent as he pressed a tender kiss to her cheek, eliciting a giggle from her.

"What are you doing up here alone?" he inquired, turning her gently so that she was facing him.

Camilla smiled at him. "Just thinking," she replied, her eyes locked onto his.

"Thinking about what?" he asked, his gaze unwavering as he searched her vibrant gray eyes.

Camilla stared at Alexander with an intent gaze for a few moments before her smile brightened. "Nothing... just thinking about what name we should give our child," she replied, dropping a hint.

Alexander's brow furrowed as he tried to process her words. "Are you... Are you pregnant?" he asked, his eyes widening in realization.

Camilla nodded and Alexander couldn't contain her excitement and let out a loud shout of joy.

She quickly covered his mouth as she noticed a few family members looking their way, curious about the commotion.

Camilla hushed Alexander, whispering, "Shh!... I haven't really confirmed it yet. I only took a test three days ago with a pregnancy test strip... I still have to confirm it at the hospital."

She slowly removed her hand from his mouth, and Alexander responded by leaning in for a sweet, loving kiss that they both savored for a few seconds before pulling away.

Alexander gazed at Camilla with affection before reaching into his pocket.

A few moments later, he held up a small diamond ring for both of them to see.

He took a deep breath, clearly with something important on his mind.

He began, "I've been trying to get you to marry me for two years now, but you kept rejecting me..."

"I thought I was going to try my luck again later tonight, but I think now is a perfect time, so..."

"Camilla Idalia Kings... Vuoi per favore farmi l'onore di sposarmi? (Would you please do me the honor and marry me?)" he asked, his voice filled with sincerity.

"Prometto che se dici di sì, ti amerò, ti adorerò e avrò cura di te fino all'ultimo nostro respiro. (I promise that if you say yes, I will love, cherish, and care for you until our very last breath.)"

Camilla blinked in surprise, clearly caught off guard by the proposal, especially delivered in Italian.

She finally managed to find her words. "Hai preso lezioni. (You've been taking lessons,)" she remarked, her voice filled with astonishment.

Alexander owlishly blinked back at her, looking somewhat puzzled. "I don't understand what you just said,"

Camilla couldn't help but burst into hearty laughter, playfully pushing him. "I thought you understood Italian now," she teased, switching back to English.

Alexander grinned, "I tried to, but it was too hard, so I just learned this for the proposal," he admitted.

They both laughed before falling silent, gazing at each other with love and anticipation.

Alexander's eyes remained fixed on Camilla as he asked in a hushed whisper, "So... is it a yes?"

Camilla held the suspense for a moment, holding her smile a little longer before finally breaking into one.

"Well... I suppose my answer is a yes... After all..." She trailed off allowing Alexander to gently slip the ring onto her finger.

She continued, "What's the worst that could happen, Mr. Alexander Cena?"

With those words, they sealed their commitment with a passionate kiss, deepening their embrace and beginning a new chapter in their happily ever after.
