Entangled With My Rival CEO

Chapter 101

Chapter 101

"I... I had feelings for you since the moment we met," Edward continued, his voice soft and genuine.

"Your beauty, your kindness, your intelligence, the independence you always displayed despite being from a wealthy background... It all captivated me, and I couldn't help but fall for you."

"I... I don't know what to say," Camilla finally admitted, her voice wavering slightly.

"I mean, you never said anything... Matter of fact, remembering those days, you seemed to always avoid me, and I always wondered why?" Camilla said, trying to make sense of the situation.

Edward sighed, his gaze filled with sincerity and a hint of regret. "I know I seemed distant, and I apologize for that. I was just nervous around you because I liked you so much."

"It was like I couldn't find the right words to say. I didn't want to mess things up, so I tried to keep my feelings hidden and avoided you."

Edward stared at her for a while, his hand gently stroking hers, "I still have feelings for you, Camilla," Edward confessed.

"Even after all this time, my feelings haven't changed. If anything, they've only grown stronger. You're incredible, and I can't help but be drawn to you."

"I understand that you've been through a lot in your past relationship, and I'm not expecting an answer right now," Edward began, his tone gentle and considerate.

"I just couldn't keep silent any longer, and that's why I'm sharing all of this with you."

Camilla maintained an unwavering gaze on him as he spoke.

Despite not fully understanding why, she couldn't help but feel a profound sense of pity for the young man seated across from her.

The sound of violins suddenly filled the air, breaking Camilla from her thoughts, and both she and Edward looked up to see a group of men dressed in a matching ensembles playing classical music in the middle of the restaurant.

At the same time a lady dressed in a flowing midnight blue gown with delicate silver embellishments that shimmered under the soft lights.

Her hair cascaded in loose waves, and she wore a silver pendant around her neck.

With a warm smile, the dancer approached Camilla and Edward, her eyes shining with excitement.

"Bonsoir! (Good Evening) Would you like to join us in a little dance?" she asked, her voice as melodious as the music that filled the restaurant.

Camilla's surprise turned into intrigue, and she glanced at Edward, who seemed equally curious about the invitation.

"I'm not much of a dancer," Camilla admitted with a small chuckle, feeling a bit shy about her abilities.

The dancer's smile widened, and she reached out to take Camilla's hand.

"No worries, dear. We believe that everyone can dance; they just need a little guidance."

Hesitatingly Camilla decided to agree seeing Edward standing up to the dancer's request.

As they made their way to the dance floor, the dancer guided them into a graceful waltz, the violins serenading them with their enchanting melody.

In Edward's arms, Camilla felt a mixture of emotions swirling within her.

His genuine words and vulnerable confession had touched her deeply, but was she really ready to move on from Alexander?

The thought lingered in her mind, even as a slow song began to play, and she and Edward moved gracefully together on the dance floor.

As they swayed together, their eyes locked, and Camilla couldn't help but notice the sincerity and affection shining in Edward's gaze.

At that moment, her heart yearned to let go of the fears and doubts that had been holding her back, to embrace the possibility of something new and beautiful.

Perhaps, with someone like him, she could find the happiness and healing she so desperately sought.

The soft music and the warm atmosphere of the restaurant seemed to wrap them in a cocoon of intimacy, shutting out the rest of the world.

As their lips were about to meet, Camilla was abruptly pulled back by none other than Alexander.

His grip tightened around her waist, and a determined glare filled his eyes as he looked at Edward, while a smirk played on his lips, asserting his possessiveness.

Camilla's heart raced with surprise and confusion at this unexpected intrusion.

She noticed the glances from other diners, adding to her discomfort. In a hushed tone, she questioned Alexander, "What are you doing here?"

Ignoring her attempts to break free, Alexander's voice remained low and assertive as he replied, keeping his focus on Edward, whose expression had darkened, "I need to talk to you... in private."

Without giving Camilla a chance to object or Edward a moment to react, Alexander turned around and forcefully led her out of the restaurant.

Edward wasted no time and followed them. Outside, Camilla found herself standing in a vibrantly lit street, caught in the middle of an unexpected confrontation between both men

Alexander's grip on Camilla remained unyielding, and his face displayed a mix of anger and possessiveness.

Meanwhile, Edward stood his ground, jaw clenched, his eyes locked onto Alexander as if trying to control his emotions.

"Let go of her," Edward demanded, to which Alexander raised an eyebrow and retorted, "And is that supposed to be an order?" His words dripped with malice.

Camilla felt her heart racing, torn between the past and a potential future. She didn't want any confrontation, especially not in public.

"Alexander, you're going to cause a scene...please let go of me," she said, trying to keep her voice calm despite the turmoil inside her.

Though his grip tightened momentarily, Alexander eventually released her, but his hostile gaze remained fixed on Edward.

"I thought I told you to stay away from her?" Alexander's voice was low and threatening, but Edward didn't back down.

He took a step forward, his voice steady, "And I remember telling you to save your speech for someone who cares. Camilla is not your property." He said and grabbed Camilla's wrist, trying to lead her away, but Alexander countered by grabbing her other wrist, initiating a tug of war over her.

"Enough!" Camilla's frustration reached its peak, and her voice carried a sense of authority that surprised both men.

She forcefully freed her wrists from their grasp, stepping back to create some distance.

Taking a deep breath to steady herself and the situation, she asserted herself, "I won't be treated like some object to be fought over." Her determination was evident as she turned to glare at Alexander.

"And you... let this be the last time you ever try what you did tonight, we're divorced, okay! So you don't get to barge into my personal space and drag me out like I'm your property." Camilla's voice remained firm and resolute as she made her stance clear.

Edward, seeing Camilla assert herself, took a step back, giving her the space to handle the situation.

He admired her strength and knew that this was something she needed to resolve on her own terms.

After a few sighs, Camilla turned to Edward, her voice steady but her emotions still raw, "Let's go."

Without any hesitation, Edward immediately complied, taking her hand in his and leading her away from the tense situation towards the car.

As they walked away, Alexander's eyes bore into them with a mix of anger and jealousy, but there was nothing he could do except watch them leave.

Once they were in the car, Edward couldn't hide his concern as he asked Camilla, "Are you okay?" His eyes reflected genuine worry as he looked at her.

Camilla let out a shaky breath, feeling slightly overwhelmed by how quickly everything had escalated.

"Yeah...I'm fine," she murmured, trying to reassure him.

"Let's just get out of here." She managed a weak smile, and Edward nodded, starting the car's engine and driving away from the scene.
