Chapter 311: Laughter
Chapter 311: Laughter
"Mmm." The large white wolf tried to move from under the three wolves that lay surrounding her. The one behind her licked her ear while the other rubbed his muzzle against her stomach, his tail swishing happily behind him as though he had no intention of letting her go anytime soon. While Zen was busy sniffing at her neck and shoulders as if completely fascinated by her scent. She moaned softly and quickly returned to her human form to escape from the insatiable wolves. "Zen. Stop."
The large wolf returned to his human form then and quickly straddled her legs, grinning without the slightest bit of shame. "I can’t help it. Your wolf is so beautiful."
Kael and Lance, who had also returned to their human forms now, closed in on either side of her, looking no better than Zen despite pretending to be calmer. Kael nuzzled against her arm while Lance rested his head against her stomach again, placing small licks and teasing bites there. The two of them looked entirely too comfortable using her as a pillow.
Emira pushed the two men away with her hands and narrowed her eyes warningly at Zen. Her cheeks were slightly warm from all the attention, though she refused to admit it aloud. If he did not get off her soon, he was going to suffer badly.
With a dramatic pout, Zen pushed at Lance’s head and finally got off her. "The two of you are useless. Always irritating her. Now look. She is going to banish us from the bedroom."
Kael snorted while Lance simply smacked his younger brother across the shoulder. "It is your insatiable thirst that is responsible for her irritation."
"Ha!" Zen scoffed immediately. "Just because you two oldies get tired easily, you think I should hold back too?" He looked genuinely offended by the accusation, making Emira roll her eyes despite herself.
Emira pushed him away lightly before he could lean closer again and narrowed her eyes at all three of them. "I am not banishing you from the bedroom."
The three men, who had just moved away moments ago, immediately sidled right back toward her side like little puppies who had been invited to join in on the play. Kael wrapped an arm loosely around her waist while Lance dropped back against the bed beside her, resting his chin against her shoulder. Zen looked entirely too pleased with himself as tried to get back on top of her.
"I knew it," Zen said smugly. "You love us too much."
"She tolerates us," Kael corrected dryly while Lance hummed thoughtfully in agreement.
Emira rolled her eyes at the three of them. Sometimes she genuinely wondered how they could still be so shameless. "I do love you all. And I do tolerate you! But," she said slowly, immediately making all three straighten slightly, "I am going out for now. I need to do something.
The moment the words left her mouth, all three expressions changed. Zen frowned first. "Now?"
"It can wait. Or better yet, it can be delegated. You are the Luna. you don’t have to work yourself to the bone! Tell me who you want me to delegate the work to." Lance added immediately, his hand tightening around her waist as though he planned to physically stop her from leaving.
Kael sighed against her shoulder. "You said that last time too, and you disappeared for half the day."
Emira ignored all three complaints and pushed them away again before standing up from the bed. The cool air brushed against her skin as she stretched slightly before walking toward the door without bothering to cover herself.
Behind her, the room went suspiciously quiet. She grinned. Their eyes were probably glued to her naked form at this time.
A smirk tugged faintly at her lips as she swayed her hips just a little more while walking away. Behind her, someone groaned dramatically.
"See?" Zen complained loudly. "She does this on purpose."
"She absolutely does," Lance muttered.
Kael simply stared at her back for a long moment before shaking his head slowly. "One day she is going to kill all three of us without any effort at all."
Emira laughed softly as she reached the doorway, throwing one amused glance over her shoulder at the three men still watching her like starving wolves. Just the way she liked them.
Once outside, though her expression changed to more composed. She grabbed the robe that had been placed there and stepped outside, looking at the peaceful forest. It had been six months since the battle with Aron had happened and everything had changed. The Omegas that had been outcast until now, were slowly resuming their places.
With the lifting of the curse, all those who had mistreated the weaker wolves had been felled by the Goddess’ justice, leaving behind nothing but peace.
And yet, over the past few days, she had been feeling something in her stomach.
At first, she had ignored it. With the rebuilding and redistribution of the territories, the endless celebrations that had followed the lifting of the curse and her own crowning as the Luna, she had assumed she was simply exhausted. But the feeling had continued. And now, it seemed to be growing by the day.
Even now, just peacefully lying there with them, made her feel worried. As if something was changing.
"You are thinking too much, Emira."
Kael’s voice echoed in her head then and she shook her head," You need to stop getting inside my head."
"No. Not happening, when I can feel you worrying. What are you worried about? Is it the pups?"
Emira frowned, "Pups? What pups? Kael? What are you talking about?"
But the voice had already disappeared. She frowned. What was he talking about. She was about to turn back and go inside to demand answers, when a pair of arms closed around her. She frowned up at him, about to ask him what he meant when he placed a kiss on the tip of her nose and smiled," Why are you worried?"
Emira grimaced. "I don’t know. My stomach is uneasy these days. But my intuition is not warning against anything. So, I don’t know what to think."
Kael smiled then and shook his head as Lance and Zen stepped out and Kael announced," She doesn’t even know."
Emira grimaced. She hated it when they did that. Talking in riddles. "What is it I don’t know?"
Kael tapped her forehead and said," That uneasiness in your stomach is not telling you something is going to happen. It is our pups. We were waiting for you to tell us."
Emira’s eyes widened. "Huh?"
Emira almost fell to the floor then. She was pregnant? That was the uneasiness in her stomach?
Zen immediately dropped to his knees beside her stomach while Lance laughed loudly in disbelief. Kael simply pulled her closer, his forehead resting against hers for a brief moment.
"I am pregnant."
Kael nodded. "Hmm. Your scent has changed. Didn’t your wolf tell you?"
Emira shrugged," She doesn’t know all this. How was she supposed to tell me."
But even as she complained, for the first time ever, Emira let herself feel only happiness. She had yearned for a home. She had yearned for a family. These three men, had enslaved her and given her both. And now, she was going to have a bigger family. She was willing to be enslaved to them. Forever.
