Chapter 1017 - 1056: Telling Him on Purpose

On her way out, Mabel Quinn ran into the neighbor lady next door.

The lady asked enthusiastically, "Mabel, are you moving house? Not going to live here anymore?"

"Yes, I married my boyfriend, and we’ll be living at his place from now on. We’re just registered now, the wedding will be in two months, and I’ll give you some wedding candy, okay?" Mabel replied.

"Great, great!" the neighbor lady said repeatedly, then continued, "Getting married is good. Since you’re living together, you might as well get registered. Speaking of which, there was a young girl who lived in your apartment years ago. She didn’t get registered with anyone, ended up having a child, but the father didn’t acknowledge it. I wonder how she’s doing now. Such a pity."

Mabel knew the lady must be talking about Clover.

When Mabel returned to the car with Kyle Kinston, she looked at the keys in her hand and said to Kyle, "I’ll return these keys to Uncle tomorrow."

"Nothing, just thinking about what the neighbor lady said about Clover. The last person who lived there was Clover. Uncle said she had a child, but it was stillborn. And the neighbor lady mentioned not acknowledging... was it the Quinn Family who didn’t acknowledge the child back then?"

"This type of matter, you’d have to ask your uncle to know for sure," Kyle replied.

"Forget it, Clover’s situation is a sad issue for Uncle anyway, why ask more?" said Mabel.

After the two returned to Kyle’s residence, Mabel seemed to remember something and said to Kyle, "I ran into Daniel Harris at the Film Festival today."

"Oh?" he raised an eyebrow, looking at her.

"He knows about our marriage, and even though he won’t attend our wedding, he still gave me his blessings," she said.

"Really?" his eyes flickered slightly. That man seems to be slowly moving on. But even if he hasn’t, I won’t give him any opportunity. "Why did you specifically tell me this?"

"Because I don’t want any misunderstandings between us," Mabel replied openly, "I know you’re concerned about Daniel, so I wanted to tell you."

He gently pulled her into his arms, "Maybe it’s because you and he have a past that I can’t be part of, so I care about it, feel jealous, because once he was a wish in your heart. But going forward, I will slowly let go of that concern, because the person you love is me, right?"

Mabel looked up at him and smiled sweetly, "Yes, the person I love is you." She finished and, tiptoeing, kissed him on the lips.

His eyelashes quivered, he slowly closed his eyes, immersed in her spontaneous kiss.

The next day, Mabel went to the Quinn Family’s main house to see Edward Quinn, intending to return the apartment keys to him.
