Chapter 129 - 129

Chapter 129 - 129

Towa had watched the entire scene unfold. She couldn't hold back any longer and turned sharply toward Aishi.

"Why?! On what grounds?!"

Aishi answered calmly:

"Why don't you tell me why you're still clinging to the Demon Realm?"

Towa's expression shifted. At first she forced a smile, but then she sighed, muttering:

"Because I still want revenge."

Aishi shook his head. "I don't believe that."

Towa fell silent.

After a long pause, she lifted her head and stared at Aishi.

"Then what do you want from me?!"

What did he want?

Aishi thought for a moment. "…I don't know."

Towa nearly choked.

What kind of answer was that?!

She pressed further, her voice low:

"You and I never really had any deep enmity, right?"

Aishi nodded. "That's true."

Towa bit her lip, staring at him intently.

"Then why do you still refuse to let me go? I've already apologized. My body and soul—you've taken them both. Isn't that enough?"

At that, Aishi glanced at her.

To his surprise, he realized—she was far less experienced than he'd expected.

He had thought Towa was a veteran woman hardened by countless schemes. Yet in that area… she was practically uninitiated.

Aishi frowned slightly, then shook his head.

"You're unstable. If I release you, it won't be good."

Towa said nothing.

The truth was, she had never given up on plotting against him. But now, stripped clean and fully subdued—what else could she do?

After a moment, she said firmly:

"I promise you. If you let me out, I won't target you or anyone close to you."

Aishi smiled faintly. "Really?"

Towa nodded, expression serious. "I swear it."

"Dreams…"

Aishi asked suddenly:

"What is your dream?"

Towa fell silent.

Her dream? Of course it had always been to rule everything, unify the cosmos. But to admit that now, before him—her enemy? That was the same as signing her own death warrant.

Aishi studied her, then said coldly:

"That ambition must be cut off. As for Mechikabura… I'll kill him."

Towa's eyes widened. "How do you know that name?!"

She had never told anyone.

How could Aishi know?

He didn't answer.

But the truth was clear. Towa had once been under Mechikabura's hand. And such a threat, Aishi would never permit to live.

"I've met him," Aishi said at last, lightly.

Met him!

Towa trembled. That meant Mechikabura had already broken free…

She lowered her gaze. "You… are you really his enemy?"

Aishi nodded.

At that, Towa fell into deeper thought.

She had lived for countless years. She knew men always had strong control instincts. If Aishi was truly the Destroyer of Time, how could she resist?

Finally, her voice dropped:

"Fine. I'll submit."

Aishi gave her a strange look, but Towa's eyes were serious.

"You are the Destroyer of Time. I'd have to be insane not to recognize reality."

The two of them fell silent.

Towa thought back over everything.

At first, she had only approached Aishi to steal his genetics—hoping to create a being strong enough to rival Mechikabura.

Her goal had been to unify the universes.

But after these days of reflection, she realized how foolish it had been.

The Grand Priest.

Just thinking of that supreme being, she felt powerless.

Could Mechikabura really lead anyone against the Grand Priest and Zeno?

No. Absolutely not.

Why had the Dark Demon Realm, including herself, dared to act so arrogantly before the Twelve Universes and Zeno?

Two reasons:

First—arrogance. Lack of knowledge. They didn't truly understand the scale of what they were facing.

Second—because angels could not interfere directly. They assumed that alone meant victory was possible.

But boiled down, the truth was simple:

Lack of understanding.

Now, after being subdued by Aishi, Towa finally understood.

Destroyer Gods were nothing.

Angels were far stronger—but even they vanished if they intervened improperly.

And above all—there was still the Grand Priest.

Trying to dominate the entire cosmos? Ridiculous!

She laughed at herself bitterly.

It was impossible.

At least, not for her.

But Aishi was different.

He had the power of a God of Destruction and the battle might of an angel. He had allies. And most importantly—he was still young. His growth had only just begun.

Towa raised her head slowly.

"I want a normal identity again."

Aishi tilted his head. "…Why?"

Her voice was firm. "Is it not allowed?"

Aishi smiled faintly. "Not impossible. But how can I trust you?"

Towa's cheeks reddened. She whispered:

"After everything, isn't it enough?"

Aishi frowned.

"This situation is special. And besides… we have no feelings."

Towa's face sank, full of dissatisfaction. "So you don't want to take responsibility?"

Aishi shook his head. "That's not it. But your motives are complicated."

Towa's voice rose. "Then what do you want me to do?!"

Her tone was raw. She had already been so direct—why wouldn't he believe her? Was her image truly that bad?

But Aishi only said lightly:

"Stay here for now. Once Mechikabura and the Demon Realm are dealt with, I'll let you out."

Towa was silent.

That could be… forever.

"How long?" she asked.

"Not sure," Aishi replied.

"Not sure…?"

Her eyes narrowed. "So you're just using me as a tool?"

Aishi shook his head, but Towa only sneered, falling silent.

After a moment, she said coldly:

"You'd better keep your word."

Aishi nodded.

Her eyes glinted. "And don't lock me away endlessly. I'll go mad."

Aishi chuckled. "Fine."

After a little more talk, Aishi vanished from the rift, leaving Towa in silence.

Outside—

Universe 11 was in chaos.

Vermoud's death, the Pride Troopers' destruction—panic spread through all who knew. Who would be next?

Aishi sensed briefly. Marcarita was gone, likely to Universe 10—complaining to Kus.

He didn't pursue.

Kus was deceptively cute and small, but her true power was terrifying. Without certainty, he wouldn't challenge her yet.

Just then—

A voice echoed in his mind.

Aishi lifted his hand, and a light curtain appeared before him.

A figure slowly condensed at its center.

The Grand Priest.

Aishi's expression tightened. Was this about Marcarita?

But the Grand Priest only smiled.

"It's been a long time."

Aishi nodded back. "Indeed."

The Grand Priest studied him deeply, then spoke:

"Regarding the Dimensional Tournament—Lord Zeno wishes to begin it next week, by the King's calendar."

Aishi's eyes sharpened. "So soon?"

The Grand Priest nodded. "Yes."

Aishi thought. His strength now surpassed most angels. Did he really need to participate?

Still, he asked:

"Do I still have to fight?"

The Grand Priest smiled. "Yes. And Aishi—you should look forward to it."

Aishi exhaled lightly. "Understood."

Then asked: "Do I need to choose participants, or are there rules already?"

The Grand Priest shook his head. "Not yet. Once all are gathered, the rules will be unified."

"I see."

The Grand Priest's eyes softened slightly. "And… I hope you'll take care of my daughter."

Aishi laughed lightly. "Of course I will."

The Grand Priest smiled faintly. "Then farewell."

With that, his image dissolved.

Aishi let out a long breath.

For a moment, facing the Grand Priest, he had felt his very soul trembling, as though annihilation was just one step away.

His expression grew solemn.

The Grand Priest was truly terrifying.
