Chapter 1511 - 1449: You’ve Got the Wrong Person
A call of "big sister" made Wufu’s skin crawl with goosebumps. She looked indifferently at the young girl standing opposite her.
This was Wu Yilin, whom she had only met once during Changping’s reaching the age of marriage ceremony. Yet she remembered that face. Beside her stood another girl who also appeared at Changping’s ceremony; she must be a young lady of the Wu Family too.
Following the two girls were several maids and matrons.
Ah Jiu glanced around, slightly furrowed his brows, and looked at Chi Wu behind him. Chi Wu nodded and left.
No need to say it, that look from the prince meant for him to check out which people from the Wu Family were here!
Wu Yilin did not expect to encounter Wufu here. She stared at her with wide eyes, observing her. Her appearance indeed resembled her father’s, yet softened by feminine grace. She was tall and slender, dressed in an ivory gown, her hair simply styled in a tassel bun adorned with a Peach Blossom Hairpin and a delicate Four Butterfly Silver Pendent.
Her attire was suitably simple and clean, fitting for the place, as it wasn’t appropriate to wear anything too flashy to a temple.
Yet even in simplicity, Wu Yilin thought her rival shone like stars and moon. Just standing there without uttering a word, her whole aura was cool and commanding, compelling admiration.
Wu Yilin smiled brightly, stepped forward, and curtsied gracefully: "Big sister, I am Yilin, the third in our household, and this is..." she pulled the gentle woman beside her to introduce, "This is Sister Wan from Second Uncle’s family."
Wu Yiwan had heard about the troubles with her eldest uncle and knew something about mother and daughter Wufu. Seeing them now, her feelings were mixed. However, her upbringing since childhood didn’t allow rudeness, so she curtsied as well.
Seeing this, Wufu squinted slightly. Their temperaments were quite different from Wu Yining’s; these two seemed gentle and graceful. But whether they truly were inside and out, or had another face behind closed doors, was unknown.
She wasn’t interested in finding out.
"I’ve long hoped to meet big sister, but unfortunately..." Wu Yilin feigned joy as she looked at Wufu, but what about her?
Wufu turned to Ah Jiu: "Shall we go over there?"
Without waiting for Ah Jiu’s reply, she walked off to the side, completely ignoring Wu Yilin.
Wu Yilin’s smile froze at the corners of her mouth, feeling somewhat awkward and embarrassed.
Wu Yiwan frowned tightly; this was too rude!
"Stop! My lady is speaking to you, how dare you ignore..." a maid jumped out and shouted loudly.
Wufu stopped, turned around, and looked coldly at the maid.
The maid’s pupils contracted suddenly, and she took a step back.
"Rude!" Wu Yilin’s expression changed as she stepped forward to scold the maid: "Shameless servant, how dare you be disrespectful to big sister? Kneel and apologize!"
"Miss..." the young maid complained, holding onto her clothes.
"Enough!" Wufu finally spoke, sneering: "There’s no need for such acts in front of me. Also, you call me big sister? You must be mistaken! My mother only gave birth to me, even if I had sisters, they aren’t born yet!"
"Sister, even if you have severed ties with father, by blood, you are still our sister." Wu Yilin held onto Wu Yiwan and said: "Second sister, what do you think?"
Wu Yiwan frowned but remained silent.
"You don’t know what severing ties means? I’ve even returned the blood to your father!" Wufu chuckled, saying: "Little girl, don’t recognize older sisters just because of their long hair. Some sisters are deviously vile!"
After saying this, she dragged Ah Jiu along and left.
"Regardless, you are my sister!" Wu Yilin called out behind her.
