Chapter 128 - 127: The Fall of the Illusion Demon General

Chapter 128 - 127: The Fall of the Illusion Demon General

"Damn you, you lowly mongrel!"

When Illusion Demon General Arthur saw this, his expression changed drastically. He acted decisively, leaping into the air and fleeing toward the outskirts of Steel City.

The Steel Beast spun around, its form blurring as it pursued Illusion Demon General Arthur.

"Protect the general!"

"Kill it!"

...

With bloodshot eyes, Arthur’s Personal Guards roared and blocked the Steel Beast’s path.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Regardless of the enemy, the Steel Beast simply charged, ramming them brutally. With a sweep of its tail, the Great Spirit Master Level Personal Guards were smashed into a bloody pulp, torn to shreds. No amount of exquisite Swordsmanship could help them.

Within the span of a few breaths, the Steel Beast reached the top of the city wall. It leaped again, charging toward Arthur’s position.

Eliminating Illusion Demon General Arthur was the order Shu Feng had given the Steel Beast.

Illusion Demon General Arthur was a master of the Power of Illusion. His strength was terrifying, and his abilities were bizarre and unpredictable. If he were to live, he would undoubtedly become a thorn in Shu Feng’s side.

Aside from Tage Mulis, very few could withstand Illusion Demon General Arthur’s Power of Illusion.

"Fire! Fire! Kill it!"

Illusion Demon General Arthur roared the moment he leaped down from the city wall.

There was no shortage of Divine Archers among the hundred-thousand-strong army. One by one, arrows shrouded in a hazy green light shot toward the Steel Beast.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

The Steel Beast neither dodged nor evaded, letting the arrows strike its body only to be deflected. It was like a humanoid war machine. In an instant, it appeared behind Illusion Demon General Arthur and thrust a claw toward his heart.

"Die!"

A vicious glint flashed in Illusion Demon General Arthur’s eyes. He unleashed a peerlessly ferocious aura, activated his Badge Power, and swung his long sword—now wreathed in a hazy, spectral light—in a frenzied slash at the Steel Beast.

CLANG!

The Steel Beast reached out and caught the Long Sword in its grasp. A tail then shot out from between its legs, piercing Illusion Demon General Arthur’s heart from an unbelievably bizarre angle.

The Steel Beast thrust its right claw forward, ripping out Illusion Demon General Arthur’s heart. With its left claw, it twisted off the Illusion Demon General’s head.

CLANG! CLANG! CLANG! CLANG!

A rain of arrows filled the sky, striking the Steel Beast’s body only to be deflected away.

The Steel Beast spun around. In a blur of motion, it leaped onto the thirty-meter-high city wall and casually tossed Illusion Demon General Arthur’s severed head to Tage Mulis.

"Hahaha! Illusion Demon General Arthur, you animal! You finally got what was coming to you! Hahaha! Nasha, Lili, I’ve finally avenged you!"

"My Lord! I praise you! You are the only light in this world! You are the hope of my life! I will dedicate everything to you and slaughter all of your enemies!"

Clutching Illusion Demon General Arthur’s head, Tage Mulis was a mess of laughter and tears. A savage, frenzied light shone in his eyes. His Swordsmanship seemed to ascend to a new level as he began to frantically slaughter the Personal Guards of the three generals.

The Personal Guards of the three generals were all battle-hardened experts. But their masters had been easily slaughtered by the Steel Beast, and even the top-tier combatants at the Spirit Sect Level had been annihilated by it. None of the surviving Personal Guards were a match for Tage Mulis.

One by one, the Personal Guards fell to Tage Mulis’s sword.

The Steel Beast then leaped into the city, speeding madly toward the location of Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata.

After crossing several streets, the Steel Beast spotted Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata and his Personal Guards chasing Camilla.

From the side streets, soldiers would periodically appear, firing Crossbow Arrows from a distance at Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata and his Personal Guards.

Whenever any of Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata’s Personal Guards went to deal with those soldiers, they were swiftly surrounded and killed by Ye Mingxi and her thirty Ghost-devouring Demons.

If Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata tried to go after Ye Mingxi, Camilla would stop fleeing and begin methodically picking off his Personal Guards, putting the Grand Marshal of the Sky in a dilemma.

"You worthless bitch! I’ll tear you limb from limb!"

After Camilla shot down another of his Personal Guards, a vicious light flashed in Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata’s eyes. With a roar, a pair of Sky Wings materialized on his back. All by himself, he soared toward Camilla like a great bird.

A cold glint flashed in Camilla’s eyes. She leaped into a building and, with a few nimble movements, vanished from Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata’s line of sight.

"Damn it! You cowardly bitch! If you have any guts, come out and fight me. Otherwise, I’ll slaughter everyone here!"

Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata roared savagely. With a wave of his hand, a barrage of Air Blades struck a building.

BOOM!

With a terrifying boom, the building was sliced in two by Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata. A family of seven inside was also diced into pieces—a truly gruesome scene.

WHOOSH!

An arrow shot out from an impossibly strange angle, flying straight for Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata.

"Got you!"

Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata gave a savage grin. He shot forward abruptly, flying toward the arrow’s point of origin at twice his previous speed.

A terrifying flurry of Wind Blades erupted, instantly shredding the arrow that had been aimed at him. He shot into a small alley.

In that small alley, the Steel Beast looked up, its eyes flashing with an incomparably ferocious light. It grinned, revealing a cavernous, blood-red maw.

’This is bad!’

Alarm bells screamed in Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata’s mind, and he began to retreat abruptly.

Just then, the Steel Beast stomped its foot. With a terrifying CRACK, the ground split apart. It shot toward Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata like a streaking arrow.

"Frenzy of Air Blades!"

A vicious light flashed in Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata’s eyes. He frantically activated his Badge Power, unleashing a furious barrage of Wind Blades—each one capable of shattering Badge Armor—at the Steel Beast.

A savage glint appeared in the Steel Beast’s eyes. It didn’t dodge or evade, simply allowing the Wind Blades to tear massive gashes into its body. In that same instant, it appeared before Grand Marshal of the Sky Bobokata. Its claw pierced the Sky Barrier surrounding the general, plunged into his heart, and ripped it straight out of his chest.
