Chapter 191: Blazing Sin

Chapter 191: Blazing Sin

Lately, Morkania had been constantly doubting himself.

Young and naive, he had deep affection for the girl next door, Xiaobi.

When Xiaobi encountered danger, he bravely picked up a woodcutting knife, hoping to protect the person he loved.

However, Xiaobi's single sentence, claiming that he was just another person lusting after her body, plunged him into deep self-doubt.

He did indeed have those embarrassing dreams, and the heroine in them always vaguely resembled Xiaobi.

This made Morkania feel more and more like he might not be a good person.

Especially later, when the Demon that Xiaobi had transformed into was sealed inside his body, merging him entirely with the demonic entity.

This confusion about his own identity had accompanied him ever since.

However, Lady Isabella, as well as the old man who drew the seal on his body to trap Xiaobi within him, had both told him something crucial.

He needed to face his inner desires head-on, but he also had to understand that desires were merely desires. Only those who materialized those desires into actual actions were truly evil.At this moment, Morkania still wasn't sure if he was genuinely a good person, but he knew for an absolute fact that the guy in front of him, burning with lust and desire, was undeniably a bad person.

His master, that Demon Warlock, was the very bastard who had tempted Xiaobi into becoming a Demon in the first place.

"So... I command you, let this evil stop!"

Flames ignited Morkania's clothes, prompting him to rip the burning garments off, exposing his bare chest.

The scar formed by a piercing wound on his chest, along with a sealing magic array, suddenly lit up brilliantly.

A massive number of arms, pale and smooth like tender jade, violently proliferated from the seal. These arms pulsed with a power incredibly similar to a demonic aura, yet containing entirely opposite traits.

Arbitration Chamber Arcane Sealing Technique: Same Origin Interference!

Xiaobi was a Demon transformed from desire, and the Demon Butler was also a Demon born of desire.

The nature of their demonic power shared the exact same origin. The only difference was that the Demon Butler had accumulated far more desire and possessed far greater strength.

However, the power surging out of Morkania, due to the nature of the Sealing Art, could conversely disrupt that shared origin power.

Those proliferating arms acted like kindling, drawing the flames toward them and creating a gap in the previously all-encompassing fire.

With the ferocious flames disrupted, the Captain of the Fifth Squad immediately seized the opportunity.

Over the past half-year, his attribute value had not grown much, but his Sword Art level had skyrocketed.

The reason for this was that Nemus would occasionally spar with the captains.

Nemus's Sword Art had granted him tremendous spiritual insight.

The moment a flaw appeared in the enemy's defense, he thrust out his sword.

In terms of absolute attribute values, the Demon Butler was not actually that strong, hovering at around thirty at most.

His true danger lay in the Trait formed by his materialized desires.

But right now, that very Trait was being interfered with by Morkania!

The blade surged forward. The Captain of the Fifth Squad flicked his wrist, and a burst of white light spread across the edge, extending his Knight's Sword out of thin air. With a single strike, he pierced right through the Demon Butler's body.

Trait: Blade of Conviction. His intense conviction could materialize into physical form for a short period. This was a Trait he had suddenly condensed one day after countless repetitions of practicing his Sword Art.

"Argh!" the Demon Butler roared as he stumbled backward. The flames on his body rapidly retracted. This fire, which burned others to death, could actually heal his injuries.

Seeing this, Morkania had no strength left and collapsed entirely.

His entire body was covered in blisters and severe burns scorched by the fierce flames.

The Captain of the Fifth Squad hurriedly stepped forward, shielding Morkania behind him, and declared, "Since that's the case, I have no choice but to use my ultimate move!"

His tone brimming with righteous justice, his intense confidence, and the seemingly overwhelming holy fluctuations emanating from him completely drew the Demon Butler's attention. The very next second, a blade abruptly closed in, piercing cleanly through the Demon Butler's chest.

Following that, a wave of Sword Qi traveled along the energy ripples and brutally slashed into his head.

Gabriel and Brent had successfully executed their joint sneak attack.

Seeing this, the Captain of the Fifth Squad rushed forward, twisted his blade, and decisively severed the Demon Butler's head off his shoulders.

Watching the Demon Butler's aura rapidly dissipate into nothingness, the Captain of the Fifth Squad let out a long sigh of relief.

He didn't actually have any ultimate move.

Although he was the Captain of the Fifth Squad, he came from a common family. He was no Noble and possessed no ancestral Sword Art passed down through generations.

It was simply because his cultivation talent was decent and his attribute value increased relatively quickly that he had made it to where he was today.

If Nemus hadn't guided him in his Sword Art, his combat prowess wouldn't even be considered that strong.

That intense barrage of Sword Art attacks just now had drained the majority of his strength. He had basically relied on a single breath of willpower to sustain the relentless assault to completion.

Fortunately, his ruse succeeded, successfully eliminating an enemy.

Only now did the Captain of the Fifth Squad have the energy to check on the situation elsewhere on the battlefield.

Then, he saw a speck of blackness suddenly expand on Dong Luo's body. In an instant, it connected with the ambient shadows outside, coalescing into a long spike of dark shadow that thoroughly impaled the old man.

Within the previous Curse of Malice, the Demon Warlock had subtly mixed in a portion of shadow power.

During the battle, he used external Spells as bait while allowing that tiny speck of internal shadow to infiltrate and separate. Once the internal and external forces connected, it instantly dealt a fatal blow to Dong Luo.

"Grandfather!!!" Dong He watched this happen right before his eyes. His Mental Power surged out, instantly transforming into his newest Spell.

Holy Spell: Blazing Sin Thunderfire.

Using sin as its primary fuel, the deeper the enemy's sins, the more devastating the damage they would suffer. At the same time, the flames would cling stubbornly to the target, making them incredibly difficult to extinguish.

A deep crimson storm of lightning and fire blasted down from mid-air. A flicker of deep apprehension flashed through the Demon Warlock's eyes.

A massive tide of shadows surged forward like rushing water, enveloping the Demon Warlock and carrying him out of the lightning fire's attack radius.

However, at that precise moment, several Spells cascaded down from a distance in rapid succession.

While the Holy Knights were locked in combat, the Iron-rank Priests had not been idle. They analyzed the flow of battle and swiftly executed a coordinated cooperative casting.

Precept Spell: Incarnate!

This spell could amplify any Precept Spells and Holy-type Spells currently affecting the target. For instance, the Precept Art previously inflicted on the Demon Warlock was instantly bolstered. The surging shadows halted in an instant, utterly rooting him to the spot.

Holy Spell: Sin Manifestation!

This triggered the taint of sin clinging to the target. Acting as a guilt-judging Spell, it simultaneously forced the target to suffer exponentially multiplied damage from all Holy-type Spells.

Holy Spell: Holy Chains!

A confinement-type Spell capable of locking the target down. Simultaneously, it provided a certain degree of prevention against special spiritual entities or similar beings attempting to abandon their physical vessel.

The instant the three Spells landed, the Demon Warlock's expression turned grim. From the corner of his eye, he couldn't help but glance at the other Demon on the battlefield, who had yet to make a move.

Dong He's Blazing Sin Thunderfire rapidly spread, on the verge of overtaking the Demon Warlock. But right at that moment, the spreading nature of the lightning fire caused it to ignite upon Dong Luo's body as well.

"Argh!" Even in his heavily injured and unconscious state, Dong Luo couldn't help but immediately let out a cry of sheer agony.

A terrible choice now lay before Dong He.

He could forcefully interrupt his casting, allowing the Blazing Sin Thunderfire to dissipate, and then cast healing Spells at top speed, which might just save his grandfather's life.

Or...

He could let the thunderfire continue its deadly spread.
