As for the true identity of that Demon Warlock, Nemus genuinely wasn't entirely certain.

Rhine was indeed one of the prime suspects.

First of all, there were very few individuals in this city possessing that kind of power, and Rhine was exactly one of them.

Secondly, on the night Angel A founded the Construct Protocol, Rhine had hastily left, and shortly after, an attack by a Demon Warlock occurred.

While it could have been a coincidence, it was undoubtedly a valid point of suspicion.

Coupled with the fact that Rhine had always been rather enigmatic, Nemus seized the opportunity to point this out.

However, Rhine's answer just now allowed Nemus to essentially clear him of suspicion.

The others, on the other hand, lacking Nemus's sharp Sensing, instead found themselves developing genuine wariness and doubt toward Rhine.
