Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy

Chapter 188: Keep It Hidden as Long as Possible

Chapter 188: Keep It Hidden as Long as Possible

She doesn’t want it, and she won’t let anyone else have it either.

These words are very uncomfortable to hear.

It is as if he is an object.

Did Elara Don really say that?

The air pressure around Damon Hawke slightly dropped.

He paused and suppressed his inner discomfort, "Samantha, let me repeat, we are already in the past tense."

"I know, and I’ve said it, I only see you as a friend now, without expecting anything else."

Evelyn Miles quickly stated her position.

Damon Hawke looked at her steadily, then glanced at the time, "I’m going to eat at the cafeteria. Please leave."

He is going to the cafeteria to eat?

Isn’t he going to find Elara Don for a meal together?

Evelyn Miles’s face stiffened slightly. Seeing him get up to put on his clothes, she quickly said, "Tom, are you going to eat with Elly? I’ll go with you, and I’ll apologize to her on the way."

If you’re going to act, act wholeheartedly, to dispel Damon’s dissatisfaction with her.

Damon Hawke gave her a sidelong glance, not objecting.

Evelyn Miles glanced at the insulated cup, her mouth slightly curved.

She followed along, also wanting to stir up trouble for Elara Don!

Cafeteria.

Cole Hawke sat opposite Elara Don, watching her gracefully eating, his eyes slightly sparkling.

"Elly, how are you and Damon these past two days? Has he not discovered the truth yet?"

Upon hearing this, Elara Don paused her chewing and hummed a response.

Cole Hawke chuckled lightly, "From childhood to adulthood, Damon has always been the prodigy in everyone’s eyes. He’s exceptionally smart, probably never been played like this. It’s quite amusing to think about."

Isn’t it!

Watching the two kids messing with the big boss Damon, she also finds it quite amusing.

Elara Don curved her lips slightly, her downcast eyes hiding all her emotions.

Cole Hawke noticed her low spirits and probed, "Elly, how long do you plan to keep this from him? What will you do if one day he finds out the truth?"

This question had been asked a long time ago.

Previously, she had resolutely said she would not forgive Damon Hawke.

But now, with Damon staying at her house for two consecutive days, will she change her mind?

After all, it’s obvious that she does have feelings for Damon.

Upon hearing Cole’s question, Elara Don lost her appetite.

She poked at her rice, softly saying, "I’ll keep it a secret as long as I can. If one day he finds out the truth, perhaps I’ll have already left with my child."

Honestly, her thoughts are very muddled now.

On one hand, she wants to take her son and escape from here.

On the other hand, seeing the children’s attitude toward Damon, she feels reluctant to do so.

It’s a conflict.

I need to think it over again.

Noticing the dilemma flashing in Elara Don’s eyes, Cole Hawke furrowed his brows.

Her attitude no longer held the previous decisiveness.

Could it be she’s slowly letting go of Damon?

"Elly..."

"Arthur."

Cole Hawke was about to say something when a man’s voice sounded in his ears.

No need to look up to know who it was.

Cole Hawke swallowed his words, turned to glance, and sure enough, Damon had arrived.

Followed by Samantha.

"Damon, Samantha."

Cole Hawke’s eyes flashed with interest as he watched the two sit down.

Why did these two come together!

Samantha was holding an insulated cup, bringing food for Damon?

"Arthur, didn’t you go on a business trip?"

Damon Hawke sat next to Cole, a trace of displeasure crossing his face.

Why does he always run into him every time he eats?

Should arrange more business trips for him.

"My dear uncle, I just got back from a business trip, okay?"

Cole Hawke said, an expression of helpless laughter on his face.

Damon Hawke’s gaze frosted as he glanced at him, no longer paying attention to him, and instead looked at Elara Don.

Elara Don continued to silently eat her meal, only feeling it getting harder to swallow with each bite.

Someone was playing the flirting game expertly!

With his first love during the day, and then running to her place at night to make his presence felt.

What does he actually want!

"Elly, I’m here to apologize to you."

Samantha set the insulated cup aside, looking apologetically at Elara Don.

Elara Don lifted her gaze to look at her, eyebrows slightly raised.

Samantha reached out and held one of her hands, "Elly, I’m very sorry for accidentally pushing you into the pool at the party. You are magnanimous, can you forgive me?"

So this apology was for the pool incident?

But is this apology heartfelt, or is it purposely performed for the man beside her?

Undoubtedly, it must be the latter.

Elara Don only felt disgusted.

She withdrew her hand, speaking coldly, "If apologies worked, what would we need the police for? If you’re really sincere, why not try staying underwater for three minutes, experience the feeling of suffocation, then I may forgive you."

Samantha choked, glanced at Damon, her eyes slowly reddening.

"Elly, I’m truly sorry. I admit I was jealous of you that night, because Tom changed partners in front of everyone, and I couldn’t bear to lose face."

At these words, Elara Don cast a sidelong glance at her, watching her pretentious act, only feeling that Samantha was not only a dancer but should also be a good actor.

Her acting skills are top-notch.

"Senior, are there still lotus flowers blooming in the park?"

Suddenly hearing Elara Don’s question, Cole was slightly stunned, thought for a moment, and replied truthfully, "It’s probably past blooming season."

"Oh, if anyone wants to see, you can bring them here. Don’t you see there’s a big white lotus right here?"

Elara Don poked at the rice in her bowl, speaking seriously.

Cole Hawke looked at her, then at Samantha’s face turning from pale to green, slowly realizing that Elara Don was making a veiled insult.

Comparing Samantha to a white lotus.

He chuckled silently.

He passed a piece of meat over, laughing, "Don’t just eat the rice, have some dishes."

"I’m full, don’t give me any dishes, it’s unhygienic."

"You’re disliking me now?"

"Absolutely not!"

"..."

Watching the two’s banter, Damon Hawke frowned tightly, the air around him turned cold.

He did not miss Elara Don’s veiled insult.

Since when did this woman become so sharp with her words?

The main point is, is she flirting and teasing with Cole right in front of him?

In his mind, Samantha’s words resurfaced.

She said that Elara mentioned, even if she didn’t want it, she wouldn’t let anyone else have it.

This woman, he truly can’t understand her anymore!

"Tom, have some soup."

Seeing Damon Hawke’s displeased expression, Samantha’s eyes flashed, pouring a bowl of soup for him.

Damon didn’t say a word, glancing at Elara, and out of some psychological reason, didn’t refuse.

Perhaps he wanted to see Elara’s reaction.

Elara paused her eating, watching Damon accept the soup bowl, chuckling softly.

Damon looked towards her, his dark eyes deep, "What are you laughing at?"

"I’m laughing at you, Mr. Hawke. Clearly someone is willing to wash their hands to brew soup for you, yet at night you still came to my place begging for a bowl of noodles, aren’t you a bit cheap?"
