Chapter 663 – Southern Sect delegation
Chapter 663 – Southern Sect delegation
The Southern Sect delegation arrived at the very different Fox Village.
Since everyone knew where it was located, everyone was rushing to either conquer it or contact it.
The Southern Sect had quite a good relationship with a certain Fox, and seeing that her partner was running it right now, they quickly sent over some guys for good wishes and that kind of stuff.
However, the delegation was not impressed.
'This place is so small...' One guy from the delegation used a whispering technique to contact the others.
'I know right, it's nothing compared to our big Sect!' Another chimed in.
The leader didn't say anything, since everyone was used to having everything so big and spread out that it was troublesome for the newcomers, but awesome for the old folk.
He actually preferred when the things were closer, since he was bothered how many times he had to use his flying sword just to get some tea for himself.
One step would take him about half of his mountain, but to get to the other side of the Sect would take him about a day, since everyone would bother him.
If it was more compressed, like the Fox Village in its current state, with one step he would arrive at the tea shop, get some tea, greet some rascals and be home. That was much better than taking several days just because he had to greet everyone meeting to uphold the Sects image...
A beautiful Fox stepped into the guest room. The delegation was stunned, but the leader not so much.
He already experienced a certain Fox's beauty, even from afar, so he was quite resistant to this kind of beauty.
But that is not to say the Fox that just stepped in wasn't beautiful.
"Jade Fox, I presume?" The leader of the delegation cupped his fists.
"The Southern Sect delegation?" Mei was impressed by his conduct, since she didn't have the most positive outlook on humans.
"Indeed." The leader laughed happily. "We have come to give you some tokens of friendship."
"Let's sit down, then." Mei flashed a smile. She was impressed that he was not charmed by her.
The leader didn't forget to smash the heads of his associates, since they were staring too much.
"Please don't mind them. They are young and stupid." The leader laughed awkwardly.
Mei nodded her head briefly before gesturing to them to sit down.
The other associates were displeased by how they were called, but the leader could easily snap their necks, so they were obedient.
"We will accept your gratitude, but we will be withdrawing from this place." Mei knew that the Southern Sect was somewhat of an ally to Aiko, so she would give them some information, so that they wouldn't regret it later.
"We figure as much considering how this place changed." The leader nodded his head, but he was still happy that they were so open towards them.
That meant that Fox gave a good opinion about them and future cooperation was possible.
"Elder also wanted to come and see the Vicious Jade Fox, but it wouldn't be a good look, considering the general relationship between Foxes and Humans." The leader sighed. He was very honest and that was also why the Southern Sect chose him for this 'job'.
"You can come later, if you can make it." Mei didn't mind having some connections, since they would be moving this whole ass Fox Village, and having more allies was always a good thing.
"It should only take a few months." The leader rubbed his head as he tried to estimate the time.
"That is fine." Mei nodded her head.
With the pleasantries out of the way, the doors opened, and more associates stepped in.
Each of them had a box in his hands, and they brought it over in front of the gorgeous Fox.
Mei already browsed it for traps and the other Foxes outside did the same, so she opened it.
"Huh? Isn't this the Six Coloured Blazing Lotus and Six Coloured Freezing Lotus?!" Mei was surprised by the value of these gifts.
"We pulled some string and figured that the Vicious Jade Fox won't be able to retrieve the IOU for the Six Coloured Blazing Lotus, so we added some small gifts as an apology for sticking our noses in." The leader laughed happily seeing her reaction.
"Good, very good." Mei felt like this guy was not quite bad. He was still Human, which was less than ideal, but he was very honest which she appreciated a lot.
"Now, now. Don't get too surprised." The leader chuckled and gestured towards another box.
Mei raised her eyebrow. These things were already priceless, but he got even more of the good stuff?!
Opening the second box, Mei found out it was full of something white and very smelly.
"The Thousand Years Shell Fertiliser." The leader proclaimed with nose quite perked up.
"Oh?" Mei smacked her lips. "No wonder you didn't participate in that raid."
"We are not stupid after all." The leader laughed and Mei did too.
"But to think you would put so much work to collect precious seashells just to get us this..." Mei was impressed by their thoroughness.
"We figured that the 'sapling' might be damaged due to the raid, so there is no better fertiliser that can allow it to grow big and strong!" The leader proclaimed happily.
Mei nodded her head. She agreed with this sentiment.
The rest of the gifts were some precious Pills for Beasts and other necessities that were harder to get for them.
"Colour me surprised." Mei was quite fond of this guy. "I didn't think your Southern Sect could be so..."
"Attentive? Or maybe shameless?" The leader laughed.
Mei laughed back. "Indeed, there is no better way to put it than like that."
"We are aware of what happened, but we can't really act. Fortunately, both the Sect Leader on the mainland and our Sect Leader are wise, so they didn't engage in this folly." The leader sipped the tea that another gorgeous Fox prepared.
He was quite startled that the Fox Village had so many gorgeous Foxes.
"Good taste, but they might be too much for you to handle." Mei teased him, since the friendship was established.
"I can handle a lot." The leader laughed back as he sipped his tea.
"They are Demonic Foxes." Mei licked her lips and put up a Qi barrier.
*Pffft*
As she expected. The shock was great and everyone spat out their teas.
"What-?" The leader looked at the other Foxes.
"They are also Demonic Foxes." Mei nodded her head.
The leader felt like he was in a different dimension, since this place was more abnormal than what he thought.
His eyes spun trying to process that information.
"But..." The leader tried to politely ask how those crazed Foxes were sane, but there was no way he would be able to do that.
"A certain Fox helped a lot." Mei laughed.
"Ah." The leader immediately knew who she was talking about and laughed too. "In that case I have no questions. My apologies for my rudeness." He apologised to the Jade Fox and the Demonic Foxes.
The Demonic Foxes giggled before leaving the room.
"They don't mind, since they are not to hold grudges. Although I would be careful which you pick." Mei had nothing against Foxes and Humans getting along, as long as everyone understood the dangers.
Of course, she would not engage in this, since she couldn't stand most of them.
"I don't have several lives. There is no way I would make it alive." The leader said seriously, but they were very pretty... 'Nononono, I really can't afford to be sucked dry!' He steeled his resolve, making quite the funny expressions.
Mei chuckled. "It's not that serious. We are not feral."
The leader nodded solemnly. All the rumours were turned upside down when he saw this 'new' Fox Village, and it was also obvious why they wanted to move it.
"We won't bother you longer, since you have a lot in front of you." The leader stood up cupping his fists and his associates mimicked him.
"With your gifts, doubly so." Mei laughed cheerfully.
"Hehe, I'm glad." The leader foolishly scratched his head. He was obviously happy that this talk went smoothly.
Mei stood up, escorting them outside of the room, but after she opened the doors something was... wrong.
There was no hallway outside?!
Mei closed the doors and coughed awkwardly.
"Please wait a bit here."
Seeing the Jade Fox flustered he didn't say anything and went back to his seat with his associates.
'Are they trying to stall us?' One associate asked with whispering technique.
'Don't be stupid and shut up.' The leader glared at them.
*click*
The doors closed behind Mei and she immediately roared.
"YOU BASTARDS, YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO TAKE APART THIS BUILDING YET!" Mei roared at the Muscle Foxes, who were happily taking apart anything in their path.
"Ma'am, we are 1 day behind..." The Muscle Foxes tried to defend themselves, making the Jade Fox almost faint.
"I forgot..." Mei groaned. She delayed receiving the delegation since there were more pressing matters on hand, but that also meant all the plans were shifted, and she didn't account for this...
The delegation inside heard the whole conversation, well, mostly the leader, and he was having a hard time holding in his laughter.
He didn't expect the clumsy and lustful Fox Village to be so active and hardworking.
He ignored Jade Fox's request.
"Don't mind us." The leader laughed, while the associates were shocked, since they didn't hear anything and now even couldn't see anything.
The lustrous halls were nowhere to be seen, and very muscular Foxes were running around with whole stone slabs on their shoulders.
Mei blushed. "My apologies..."
"Don't mind us." The leader laughed again. He liked hardworking people the most, so he naturally didn't mind this kind of thing.
"I will share the good news with everyone, so we might arrive earlier." The leader said seriously. He believed that Fox Village was still in the process of rehabilitation, but there was no strange air, everyone was very cheerful and energetic, which was very different to what their spies told them.
Needless to say, the leader of the delegation was very impressed, and he only had good news to bring back, which was the most ideal situation there was.
"Are they leaving already?" Moon Aiko came next to Mei.
"Vicious Jade Fox." The leader immediately bowed, startling everyone.
"Ah, the little guard." Moon Aiko had vague recollection about this guy when she was killing that girl from the Northern Sect that tried to capture her with that Treasure.
"It makes me happy to be remembered." The leader foolishly chuckled.
"I have some good news for you." Mei smiled from ear to ear.
"What?" Moon Aiko titled her head.
"You don't have to eat 'those' Pills~" Mei smiled widely when she saw Aiko's eyes widen a lot.
"You are not joking, right?" Moon Aiko was slightly wary, but her smile couldn't be concealed.
"You are free from 'it'." Mei laughed, seeing Aiko like-
"FUCK YEAH!!!!!" Moon Aiko roared, startling everyone. Only some of them knew why she was like that.
*Zooom Zooom*
Moon Aiko happily ran around, jumped and rolled since she didn't have to consume those damned Pills!
"..." The leader pursed his lips. He didn't see this kind of sight for a very long time, so he was quite happy he was able to see the Vicious Jade Fox again.
"I'm sorry..." Mei didn't think Aiko would get into hyper mode immediately.
"Hahaha." The leader laughed. He quite liked this side of every young individual, but most Sects were so stifled that everyone either fought or worked on their Cultivation. There was no room for joy like this...
