Chapter 145 - 144: The Eaglet’s Reality

The little creature blinked its bright green eyes, tilting its small head in confusion.

’Scout?’ It seems to like that name.

Li Zhang: "The Sky Splitting Eaglet likes the name, but it wants to be called Scout."

Hearing Li Zhang’s words, Li Juanxin pinched Li Jingxuan’s arm: "See? and you said my naming skills weren’t reliable."

Li Juanxin shot a glare at him: "It was just born, what do you expect?"

The eaglet was motivated by Li Juanxin’s words and flapped its tiny wings determinedly. It bound into the air, flying a few feet before collapsing onto the ground.

"Ouch!" It shrieked, shaking its tiny head.

"Hahaha, I knew it. Look how pathetic it is." Li Jingxuan laughs uncontrollably. Li Juanxin was too lazy to pay attention to him so roll his and ignore him.

The eaglet was also stubborn, after falling a few times it still gave up. Finally, after countless tries, it is able to fly long distances. It flapped its delicate wings, sending a gust of air that ruffled Li Zhang’s hair.

"Master!" Scout chirped again yearning, with a hint of helplessness in its voice.

"Hungry!" It replied, small claws curled adorably as it searched the area for something to devour.

As a foodie himself, how can he tolerate a beast that can eat just as much? The little jealousy he was feeling because he didn’t have a beast disappeared at this moment. He was really looking forward to watching his fourth brother’s ’good’ days.

Just as the eaglet pounced on the fish, it was slapped away by a fox’s paw.

"Hey!" Scout cried out, flapping its wings in frustration.

"What are you, tiny bird? Get out of here!" Fluffy stood up, baring its teeth at the eaglet.

The eaglet was taken aback, it didn’t expect to encounter such a fierce fox here. It was a bit scary to go forward.

"Don’t scare him, Fluffy." Li Juanxin follows Li Zhang, and immediately went forward when he saw the scene, afraid that Fluffy would really teach the newborn eaglet a lesson.

"This is Scout, Fourth brother’s pet. He just broke out of his shells." Li Juanxin introduces them.

"Master, I’m hungry." Scout flew to Li Zhang and complained.

"It’s ok, let’s find Father and see what you can eat." Li Zhang said and took the eaglet out.

But after searching the house, he still didn’t see his father’s figure: "Uncle Xiong, have you seen my dad?"

Liu Xiong, who was sitting on the roof, looked down and replied: "Yeah, he just left to see the Li ancestor."

"He went to see my great grandfather? I wonder what’s wrong..." Li Zhang muttered worriedly.

His worry wasn’t unnecessary, after all, his father was kicked out by their grandparents before he left. Although he didn’t know the exact reason, he knew that his father and most of the family members weren’t on good terms.

Li Zhang caught the fruit and said: "Thank you, Uncle Xiong." He didn’t know what kind of fruit it was, but since it was Liu Xiong who gave it, then it should be something good for the eaglet.

The eaglet was also looking at the fruit curiously. Li Zhang turned to return to the house but was quickly stopped by the eaglet who remembered the fox. What if the fox is interested in the fruit and snatches it away?
