Creepy Pharmacist: All my patients are scary!

Chapter 569: Protest! Requesting a Teammate Change

Chapter 569: Protest! Requesting a Teammate Change

Cyberspace.

Lynn’s consciousness deliberated with Sir Aiwen over the final strategies and preparations.

"I’ve already discussed this with the God of All Machines. He can provide you with a ‘formidable teammate,’ and without his assistance, it would be very difficult to involve you in this operation."

Sir Aiwen’s voice rumbled within Lynn’s mind.

Lynn looked up, his expression hesitant. "Do we really need his help? Actually, there’s another layer to my plan..."

Sir Aiwen chuckled bitterly. "I know. You want to successfully kill that Plague Doctor and then use the Flesh Plague to intimidate the Mechanical Cult in return, right? That would indeed be the most beneficial outcome for us, but it’s also too risky. Because if you can think of it, the God of All Machines certainly can too."

"If we don’t include him, he will absolutely never allow us to carry out this plan."

Lynn pondered for a moment, then nodded. "Alright, if that’s the case, there’s no helping it. But I’ll try my best to ensure that my teammate meets with an unfortunate accident during the operation. I’m pretty good at that sort of thing."

Sir Aiwen: "..."

...The Wasteland.

The God of All Machines spoke deeply, "For the sake of the bigger picture, and as you’re aware of the situation, I absolutely cannot let the Cyber faction implement this plan. If they get their hands on the Flesh Plague, they’ll have a means to counter our vulnerabilities. So, we need someone sufficiently powerful and loyal to participate."

"Right now, the only one I have who’s up to the task is you. That’s why I came to find you."

Silver Fantasy looked up, her gaze growing increasingly cold.

Just the thought of that demonic human made her mind churn with humiliation and bitterness.

But she understood the current situation. She couldn’t disregard the Cult’s interests for personal reasons, especially when it concerned her Father.

"I understand." She calmly gripped her Monomolecular Blade, her lips parting slightly as she said:

"I’ll take part in this operation. I won’t kill him outright, but unexpected accidents are bound to happen along the way. So if my teammate happens to die in an accident, that has nothing to do with me."

The God of All Machines: "..."

...

Unsurprisingly, after the final discussions between the God of All Machines and Sir Aiwen, both sides reached a harmonious and agreeable consensus.

They would each send one elite operative to form a joint Intelligence Machine-Cyber strike team for this decapitation mission deep behind enemy lines.

On the edge of the battlefield.

Lynn slowly opened his eyes, his consciousness disengaging from Cyberspace.

Sir Aiwen’s voice echoed in his ear once more.

"Wait a moment. I’ve already sent your coordinates to the God of All Machines. Your teammate will be arriving shortly to meet up with you. But I want to ask you one last time: are you really willing to take this risk? You know what the consequences of failure are."

Lynn looked up seriously, clenching his fists. "I have to kill that Plague Doctor. I promised Miaomiao I’d help her find her mother and avenge her. And don’t worry, Alice is inside my body right now. If I can use her power, my overall strength will surpass the Death Omen level."

Alice said, "Big Brother can use me. However he wants, it’s fine."

Having received Lynn’s affirmative response and seeing the determination in his eyes, Sir Aiwen knew that once this kid made up his mind, he would see it through.

Just like those people who always joked around—but when they truly decided to do something, not even ten oxen could pull them back.

Sir Aiwen sighed.

"Alright. I know I can’t change your decision. But you must be careful. Don’t risk your life recklessly."

Lynn nodded. Then he paused, pulled a chip from the System Space, and looked up. "Sir Aiwen, maybe you should take this chip back, or transfer it to someone else now. If something really happens to me..."

But before he could finish, Sir Aiwen’s voice cut him off.

"No. You keep it. Keeping it will make you cherish your life more. Just remember this: if you really die, then I’ll have no backup plan. Do you understand what I mean?"

Lynn hesitated for a moment, then looked up firmly. "I understand."

Sir Aiwen didn’t want him to risk his life.

If Lynn hadn’t been so resolute, Sir Aiwen would never have agreed to this insane plan.

"Enough of that. Where’s my teammate? Why aren’t they here yet?"

Lynn decided to change the subject to something less heavy. He looked around, craning his neck.

Sir Aiwen said, "They should be here soon. Just be patient."

"Alright. Who am I?"

"Lynn..."

"Correct times two!"

"..."

Time flew by.

And finally, in the next moment, Lynn raised his hand and spotted a blue figure gradually coming into view in the distance. Moving at incredible speed, it was leaping toward his location.

"Hello there!"

Lynn instinctively raised his hand, putting on a fake smile and waving to greet them.

But the moment he saw that cold, expressionless face, the smile on his face instantly froze.

Boom—

Silver Fantasy, clad in azure, landed heavily beside Lynn from the sky. The blast of air and shockwave from the ground sent Lynn’s clothes flapping noisily backward, dust and pebbles peppering him with sharp taps.

Amidst the blue glow, Silver Fantasy slowly stood up and raised her head. Her helmet retracted with a clatter of machinery, revealing her silver-gray, shoulder-length hair and calm eyes.

"Father, I have arrived."

Her gaze remained fixed straight ahead, calm and composed, as if Lynn beside her didn’t even exist.

Even though she stood there quietly, the System notifications ringing in Lynn’s ears showed no sign of stopping.

A portion of the God of All Machines’ consciousness enveloped them, watching the boy—who was miserably brushing dust off himself—standing beside his daughter.

Faced with this bizarre pair, he, too, fell into momentary silence.

Because just a short while ago,

they had been mortal enemies, locked in a life-or-death struggle. His Mechanical Cult had been hunting this boy all the way, and this demon had tied his daughter up underground, bullying her savagely for over an hour.

It was fair to say that

if not for the circumstances, there would be absolutely no room for reconciliation between them.

Their mutual Affinity levels were probably hovering somewhere around the negative maximum.

"..."

An eerie silence spread wantonly around them.

Lynn turned his head and looked Silver Fantasy up and down, clearly not expecting the Mechanical Cult to send her.

How dared they?

Had they already forgotten what happened underground?

Forgotten that euphoric feeling?

"I protest. I demand a teammate change."

Lynn was the first to raise his hand in a vote.
