When the inn keeper heard Lin Xuan Qi, he felt a sense of relief and he quickly glanced over at Liu Shao for the decision.

He had been working hard and loyally for the Liu Clan for so many years.

And he hoped that he would be able to stay on in the inn.

It was winter and with how it was in Hong Feng City, he might starve and die out there in the streets if he lost his job in the inn.

Liu Shao frowned and drummed on the table with his fingers while he pondered.

"And I can settle the amount only once a month with you, making it easier for both of us." Lin Xuan Qi explained what it meant to Liu Shao.

Liu Shao opened his eyes wide and was glad with what he had heard.

The inn keeper and the waiters were also happy to hear that Liu Shao had agreed to the deal.

The waiters quickly went back into the kitchen for the wine.

Lin Xuan Qi, impressed with the inn keeper’s initiative, glanced at the inn keeper and said, "You can call me Master Lin. What’s your name?"

"They call me Old Feng, Master Lin." Old Feng cupped his hands and bowed at Lin Xuan Qi.

It was then that the waiters came out with a few bottles of wine.

Old Feng grabbed onto one of the bottles and he poured the wine into wine cups for Liu Shao and Lin Xuan Qi.

The waiters quickly did the same for Lee He Song and the other guards.

"Here’s a toast to Master Lin for taking over and also to Master Liu for all these years..." Old Feng raised the wine cup he had in his hand and toasted with the two of them.

Lin Xuan Qi downed the wine and said, "I will ask my carpenters to come over and fix the damages tomorrow."

"That’s great, I can’t wait for business to get busy again." Old Feng was glad that the new owner was ready to spend on the inn.

But Lin Xuan Qi shook his head at him and said, "I don’t need you to open up the business to anyone in the meantime.

"I have a few factories and I need you to prepare the meals for the workers there for the winter.

"There aren’t many customers here for now, and since their food supplies aren’t as stable as yours, I would think that it’s better to do so."

Old Feng bowed at him and said, "I shall do so with what we have.

"The food supplies we have should be able to last for the winter."

Thankfully, the weather was cold and the food could be preserved.

If it was summer instead, where the meat and vegetables would rot within a day, Lin Xuan Qi might have a bigger headache on his hands.

And he would only have the rice from the system for the workers.

Lin Xuan Qi went on to brief Old Feng on what he expected before he got back to chat with Liu Shao.
