Lin Xuan Qi didn’t go too far before he stopped at his first destination, which was Lu Ting’s house nearby.

Lu Ting’s house being so near used to seem like a burden for him before, but now, it was the most convenient it could get for him.

"Master Lin, how may I help you?" The housekeeper for Lu Ting’s place asked when she saw him arrive.

"There are some Spirit Herbs I might need from your master..." Lin Xuan Qi said and took out a piece of paper with the ingredients of the Five-Element Foundation Establishment Pills written on it.

He passed it over to the housekeeper and asked, "Are you able to help me find out from Lu Ting, how much would they cost and if she would be able to get them for me?"

The housekeeper bowed at him and said, "It shouldn’t take too long and I will get back to you by the end of the day.

"Thanks so much." Lin Xuan Qi cupped his hands at the housekeeper and left Lu Ting’s house.

He headed for the factories in the south next as there were three over there, so it was easier for him to check on them first.

Along the way, he saw that there were damaged buildings here and there, but the main bulk of the damages were in the direction of the Sima Family mansion.

The mood on the streets was still full of anxiety with few pedestrians out in the cold weather and even if there were any, they glanced around wearily, holding onto the weapons they had in their hands.

When he got to one of the factories in the south where Cao was at, Cao welcomed him and updated him on the status, "Master Lin, the production is going slower with the delivery of the Kelp stopped.

"The suppliers for the firewood would resume tomorrow if nothing more serious happens today.

"I’ve also gotten some of the men to try and get dried salted fish from the fishmonger in case the food supplier didn’t appear within the next few days."

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and thought about it after he heard Cao.

And after a few moments, he said to Cao, "If the firewood stops, gather everyone from the other factories in the south together and share whatever you have left together.

"I will try and figure out something for all of you later in the day."

He might have to source for some other suppliers for the firewood if required.

And as for the food, he already had some idea on what he could do.

Cao nodded his head at Lin Xuan Qi and said, "Thanks, Master Lin."

"Is there anyone coming here to find trouble?" Lin Xuan Qi asked next and Cao shook his head.

Lin Xuan Qi felt relief when he saw Cao shake his head.

Hu Fei and the other clans and families in Hong Feng City might have taken the opportunity to come and cause troubles. Especially when the Sima Family was weakened and was busy with the Six Pulse Sword Sect.

Thankfully, it did not materialize and it would be less of a worry for him.

Lin Xuan Qi left and checked on the other factories in the city until it was lunch time.

He searched around and when he saw an inn that was partly damaged, he went in to have a look at the inn.

The inn keeper was sighing every time he lifted his head and saw the damages that were made to his inn when Lin Xuan Qi stepped into it.

"Open for business?" Lin Xuan Qi asked and the inn keeper quickly stood up to greet him.

"Ah yes, yes. We are open for business... Hope you don’t mind the small inconveniences." The inn keeper shot a glance at the part of the inn where the wooden railing, tables and chairs were in pieces.

"I wouldn’t mind." Lin Xuan Qi shrugged and he glanced around inside the inn.

There was no one else inside except for the other workers in the inn.

The inn keeper quickly stretched out his hands into the inn and said, "Come and have a seat inside."

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and he followed behind the inn keeper into the inn.

Lee He Song and the other guards also followed them into the inn.

All of them sat down and the waiters who were inside poured them a hot cup of tea.

"What do you want to have?" The inn keeper gave Lin Xuan Qi the biggest smile he could muster and asked.

Lin Xuan Qi glanced at the empty tables and chairs before asking, "Your business doesn’t seem to be doing so well? Are you sure that the food you have is good?"

The inn keeper’s smile froze and he quickly tried to convince Lin Xuan Qi, "Oh no, this is a misunderstanding.

"Our usual patrons are afraid to come out to eat after what had happened.

"I assure you that our food is one of the best you can find in Hong Feng City."

"Really?"

"Yes, really."

Lin Xuan Qi pretended to be nonchalant and said, "Fine. Get me your specialty and let me see if you are lying to me."

"I... I wouldn’t dare to." The inn keeper said and he shouted the names of a few dishes at the kitchen.

"Lotus soup with chicken, Braised fish, roasted chicken and herbal soup!"

The inn keeper gave him a smile again when he was done shouting.

He had not made any money so far for the day and he didn’t want to miss out on making money from Lin Xuan Qi.

Lin Xuan Qi also didn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to purchase an inn so that he could have the food supplies that the inn had for his workers.

He also wanted the inn to be able to serve the function of information gathering in the future if he purchased it.

Lin Xuan Qi took a sip of the tea and glanced at the inn keeper with an innocent look.

The inn keeper gave him an awkward smile back and he went into the kitchen to check on the progress of the food.

Lee He Song and the other guards chatted among themselves while they waited for the food.
