Chapter 212: Honey’s Anticipation
Chapter 212: Honey’s Anticipation
After a sound nap, in the afternoon, Ethan Sterling took the three of them out for a walk around the area. The hotel had comprehensive facilities, and it was said the food was pretty good, so they didn’t eat out. After their stroll, they returned to the hotel to have dinner, wanting to go to bed early because Honey wanted to rush into the amusement park right when it opened.
The timing was scheduled on a Monday entirely for Honey’s health considerations, hoping there would be fewer people at the amusement park.
Even so, Ruby Sullivan was still a bit nervous. She knew it wasn’t good. If Honey’s time was indeed limited, she should see more of the world. If she didn’t get to know how beautiful and vast this world she lived in was, she would definitely feel regretful when leaving.
Ruby Sullivan knew these were very sad issues, and even...shouldn’t be thought about, but ever since she saw Naomi Sinclair leave, she forced herself to be strong because this issue couldn’t be avoided.
Only by being strong and understanding things could she make Honey happier and leave no regrets for herself.
Actually, Honey couldn’t play with most of the facilities in the amusement park, so what she looked forward to most was watching the parade and taking a photo with Princess Elsa.
Jessica had booked them a suite. The two siblings needed to stay in the smaller room. Although the room was small, the bed wasn’t, so the two little ones wouldn’t feel cramped sleeping together.
In the evening, Ruby Sullivan coaxed the two children to sleep. Honey held her hand and said, "Mom, actually what I look forward to most is going out with you and Dad. I feel so happy."
Ruby Sullivan kissed her forehead, "Mom is very happy too. Go to sleep early." After saying this, she smiled at her son and kissed him too, "Good night."
Thinking of her daughter’s persistent wish for her parents to be together, she felt that perhaps, just for Honey’s sake, she couldn’t start dating too early. Fortunately, she wasn’t very interested in such things at the moment, so she decided to let things take their natural course.
But there was one thing she had to remind herself of in her heart: this time, she absolutely couldn’t forgive Ethan Sterling just because of Honey.
She had the courage to leave with Honey, so she should have the courage to refuse.

Meanwhile, across the ocean in Celestia, Elder Finn was waiting for the guests to arrive.
Old Mr. Finn was already over seventy. After his youngest son returned from studying abroad and worked in the group for a year, he handed over the reins. These years, he’s been traveling the world with his beloved wife and hadn’t held such a banquet in a long time.
Of course, those attending were well aware that recently the Sinclair Family and the Sterling Family juniors had teamed up to hit the Finn Family commercially, leaving the Finn Family a bit overwhelmed.
This banquet was entirely to win over hearts.
It must be said, the Finn Family mainly dealt in the food and snack industry, which essentially had no competitive relationship with the Sinclair and Sterling companies. So Aidan Sinclair was purely venting his anger on the Finn Family this time. Although unreasonable, the Finn Family didn’t dare speak out, and onlookers found it understandable, considering Naomi Sinclair’s death was because of Elder Finn’s granddaughter.
So when Aidan Sinclair appeared, all the guests were startled, wondering if the Sinclair Family’s retaliation against the Finn Family was reaching its end.
These matters concerned the development of some small companies, so no one wanted to miss valuable information.
"Elder Finn, long time no see," Aidan Sinclair greeted politely. "Ethan Sterling had some matters to attend to abroad, and he asked me to bring this gift for him."
"Thank you, thank you," Elder Finn responded with a few polite words, smiling.
Standing next to him was his son. In terms of generation, he was a generation above Aidan Sinclair but was younger by a year, being the child of Elder Finn’s second wife.
Back then, Dina Finn’s biological parents died in a plane crash, and Elder Finn quickly legitimized his outside mistress, driving away his wife. It was said his wife later got cancer and passed away ten years ago.
Dina Finn and her uncle had never seen eye to eye, and her marriage was entirely due to her grandfather’s coercion.
"Mr. Sinclair, hello," Leo Finn extended his hand to Aidan Sinclair.
Aidan Sinclair looked at his hand, hesitated for a few seconds, and suddenly found Ethan Sterling’s method of being a germaphobe very useful. However, being a generally easygoing person who didn’t want to embarrass others, he naturally shook his hand, "Pardon my ignorance, and who might this be?"
Elder Finn laughed, "This is my son, Leo Finn. I’ll go sit with some old friends. You young people can chat." He knew Aidan Sinclair was doing this on purpose, feeling a bit deflated, and turned away.
Leo Finn, although somewhat embarrassed, managed to keep his composure, "I saw Mr. Sinclair at a tech exchange conference last time. You probably don’t remember me."
Aidan Sinclair had a pair of almond-shaped eyes that slanted upward, looking ever so charming when he smiled, but it sent shivers down spines, making others feel they might be outwitted. He used that expression to look at Leo Finn, like making casual conversation, and said lightly, "It’s just as well I don’t remember you. Otherwise, the Finn Family might have already been in danger."
Leo Finn was taken aback, "I don’t understand what Mr. Sinclair is saying."
"Nothing, just a natural irritation towards kids born from those who ascended by clinging to wealthy patrons, can’t help but want to bully them." He raised an eyebrow after speaking, picked up a glass of champagne, and turned away.
Although he really appreciated Leo Finn’s expression, he truly didn’t want to talk any further with the man, as it left a bad taste in his mouth.
Mrs. Finn saw her son left alone and couldn’t help sidling over, "Aidan Sinclair seemed in a good mood. How did the chat go?"
Elder Finn said that making peace with Aidan Sinclair was the best way for the Finn Family to survive right now.
Things were originally an accident, so Elder Finn asked his son to channel all grievances onto that girl, or even onto Yvonne Finn, and then offer better terms, hoping Aidan Sinclair would consider them. Everyone was a businessman and always eyed the interests. The dead couldn’t come back to life. If such matters led to mutual destruction, it would be bad for everyone.
Last night, he explained everything clearly to his son. So Leo Finn wanted to gauge Aidan Sinclair’s temperament and disposition. However, all the online news mentioned only Naomi Sinclair, with almost nothing about Aidan Sinclair.
Unexpectedly, the moment they met today, he met with such coldness, including a mix of painful rebukes.
Leo Finn glanced at her and said peevishly, "It’s better if you don’t appear at the banquet today. Someone seems displeased to see you."
Mrs. Finn thought of the disparagement from the Sinclairs at the hospital before, and her face turned a bit ugly, "Then I’ll leave. You...hang in there."
Leo Finn took a few sips of wine as he watched Aidan Sinclair’s back, and still went over. No matter what, Aidan Sinclair wouldn’t reject money. As long as the Finn Family showed enough sincerity, he didn’t believe Aidan Sinclair wouldn’t be tempted.
