Chapter 1413 - 1453: Taking the Little One to the Meeting
Chapter 1413 - 1453: Taking the Little One to the Meeting
At last, there was something that eased the awkwardness and discomfort for both of them. Jun Moyan held the little one by the floor-to-ceiling window to look at the view; the little one cooperated and looked seriously, pointing out interesting buildings and billboards for Jun Moyan to see together.
After nearly half an hour, the assistant returned with a pile of picture books and a bag of snacks.
The little one knew Jun Moyan had work to do, so he sensibly went to the sofa to look at the books by himself.
Seeing the little one quite enjoyed the picture books and snacks, Jun Moyan felt relieved, no longer afraid he would be bored, and could focus on his tasks.
Actually, the little one didn’t like picture books at all, nor did he care for snacks. Initially, he pretended to be very interested, but it wasn’t long before he became distracted and couldn’t concentrate.
He looked at Jun Moyan working at the desk, the picture book in his hand had not been flipped for a long time.
Jun Moyan noticed and glanced at him. The little one immediately lowered his head, pretending to look at the picture book.
"An’an," Jun Moyan called him.
The little one raised his small face to look at him.
"Come here."
Upon hearing Jun Moyan call him, the little one immediately set the book down, got off the sofa, and walked quickly to Jun Moyan’s side.
Jun Moyan picked him up onto his lap, letting him sit in his embrace.
"What are these? What is daddy doing?" The little one curiously looked at the items on Jun Moyan’s computer.
"Daddy is... drawing." Jun Moyan moved the mouse to show him the drafts on the screen.
"It’s a gun." The little one’s eyes widened in surprise.
"Did daddy draw all of these?" He pointed at the screen.
"Yes, daddy drew them all." Jun Moyan said, operating the keyboard a bit, making the little one marvel.
Seeing the little one clearly more interested in his drawings than the picture books, Jun Moyan held him while continuing his work.
The little one watched intently, reluctant to blink.
Jun Moyan hadn’t expected him to be interested in these.
After a little while, the assistant knocked on the door and came in, saying the meeting was ready and Jun Moyan should go.
Not wanting to leave the little one alone here, Jun Moyan asked, "An’an, do you want to come to the meeting with daddy?"
"Can I?" The little one asked.
"Of course you can."
"I can find someone to accompany the young master." The assistant thought Jun Moyan was worried about leaving the little one alone, so he suggested finding someone to watch him.
"No need." The little one didn’t like strangers, and this was something his father knew.
The little one just wanted to be with his dad, not stay in the large room alone.
"Let’s go." Jun Moyan took the little one to the meeting room.
In the meeting room, everyone was already gathered, preparing for the meeting. But when they saw Jun Moyan come in holding a miniature version of himself, the atmosphere became lively. Today, the talk around the office had been about the adorable and cool young master, many regretting not having seen him in person. But unexpectedly, Jun Moyan brought him, and everyone focused on the little one, not even glancing at Jun Moyan.
Jun Moyan held the little one as he sat in his spot, directly letting him sit on his lap.
He opened the computer in front of him, picked up a file, and coldly said, "Let’s start the meeting."
Everyone immediately returned to seriousness.
While sitting on Jun Moyan’s lap, the little one watched the adults speak one by one with words he didn’t understand. Perhaps due to usually lacking fun and facing much boredom, even if he didn’t understand, the little one listened attentively, as if he were part of the meeting.
