A woman draped in a while cloak appeared behind Abaga. Her steps echoed through the sky like drops of water.
Abaga was a born warrior raised in battle his entire life, he was trained to be a fighter and a killer.
His instincts could rival that of a beast and sensing the woman behind him made him so terrified he couldn't even move.
Sweat fell down his green skin like rain, he stood frozen still grasping his sword tightly, he wanted to run but his body refused to move an inch.
She walked slowly passed him then he saw her clearly, she was shorter than he was and had a petite figure.
The white cloak dragged below her feet giving her an ethereal aura. None could see her face hidden by the shadows of the hooded cloak.
All they soup were piercing blue eyes that burnt like sapphire, their presence made the world dim in comparison.
Even without seeing her face all of them had the same thought, beautiful. Prince Arthur reacted differently.
Unlike Abaga he was sheltered since he was a child and looked down on others. He had no battle experience at all.
He couldn't sense the threat posed by this woman but he seemed to recognise her and he grinned.
Abaga almost laughed at his foolishness, he had just signed his death certificate without even knowing it.
After the woman moved away from him, he slowly and cautiously retrieved his fiancée and retreated.
" You're here to surrender yourself? Where's your pet?" He asked mockingly but Naledi did not pay him any mind.
To her he was just a bubbling breakfast for Ved. Instead of responding she raised her hand and pointed a finger at them.
This angered Arthur, not just because she challenged them but because she was looking down on them.
Had it been a member of another race he would've taken them seriously since their power lay within.
But for humans, their power lay in their vessels. For her to try and attack them without even drawing her vessel was insulting.
He swore he would rip her to shreds before forcing her to submit to him. He licked his lips just thinking about it.
However Abaga reacted differently, the moment she raised her finger he felt a strong sense of dread.
Without a moment wasted he pulled out a paper talisman. Talisman were a branch of artifacts and formations.
Infact most of the artefacts used by Arthur were called talisman artefacts which uses gems instead of paper.
They were stronger and capable of being used multiple times if they don't break completely.
But paper talisman could only be used once. Abaga did not care about that, he immediately activated it.
He and his fiancée were shrouded in a light and disappeared. He had used a teleportation talisman that instantly took his over 40 thousand kilometres away.
Only then did he feel a bit safer but he still took out multiple formation plates and set a formation around himself.
Then he felt it, a wave of power unlike any he had ever felt from somebody at the same rank as him, infact she was only at the low stage of rank 6 while he was at late stage.
Arthur was the most surprised because he had not expected what came. A tiny blue drop appeared on Naledi's finger.
Then the drop fell, time seemed to slow down as the drop gently fell down slowly. Then it reached her feet level.
" Eternal Winter." Her voice came out like a whisper, it passed through them like a breeze in a summer sun.
Before anybody could react it exploded, a wave of blue energy spread out faster than any of them could react.
Everything the wave touched turned into ice instantly. Prince Arthur's men became ice statues.
They died so fast their smirks were still etched in their faces. The wade froze everything within 20 thousand kilometres.
It could've spread further but she stopped it, still there were others who were effected by it and died.
When Abaga saw this he sighed with relief and thanked his heightened senses or he would've died.
He looked at his fiancée who was even more terrified than he was and reassured her they were fine before flying off.
He wanted to get as far away as possible from that death sentence of a woman.
Naledi approached the corpses but realised the prince was gone and sighed, she reached out to grab them.
" Ah." She froze, she had just realised she had turned them into statues of ice meaning Ved couldn't eat then now.
" Damnit." She cursed, even if she retracted her ice now it wouldn't help, they would just melt.
That's because Naledi didn't freeze them, she had turned them into ice itself, every part of their bodies including their cells had turned to ice.
They were no longer biological lifeforms. She sighed and flew off back to the cavern where Ved slumbered.
Arthur appeared over a hundred thousand kilometres away. His body shook with fear, he had sensed death there for a moment.
He looked at the cracked amulet on his chest, this is what saved his life. A rank 7 earth grade talisman artefacts.
Normally as a rank 6 he can't bring out the power of a rank 7 artefact but he didn't have to.
This was what they called a spirit seed talisman. Spirit seed talisman could only be created by stronger people to protect weaker family members.
They do this by separating and infusing a part of their soul into a talisman with their power.
This way, the power used to activate the talisman is theirs and not that of their juniors.
However this not only weakened the creator of the talisman but it leaves a wound on their soul.
Because of that, only a few and usually old experts with no hope of breaking through would create these.
Of course it wasn't impossible for a low ranked being to activate a higher ranked talisman.
But like other artefacts, using talisman places a burden on the soul, only with an abnormal strong soul can they use those artefacts or talisman.
Arthur was not such an abnormal person so this spirit seed talisman was his greatest treasure given by his father and now it was gone.
His hatred for Naledi grew to new heights and he swore he would kill her someday but then he remembered her power and his body shook with fear.
