Beast Evolution System: Devourer of Heaven

Chapter 347 347: Formless Shift

Chapter 347 347: Formless Shift

The wind blades covered the sky for as far as they could and they moved at incredible speed.

Neither of them had any chance of dodging, the most they could do was try to block. Without hesitation they went all out.

They activated their soul force, Ved used ignition to its full capacity and Naledi activated her second phase.

When the old man saw this he narrowed his eyes, second phase was incredibly rare, the fact that multiple people on earth had achieved it was an anomaly.

Even he, having lived for nearly 150 thousand years was never able to achieve the second phase of vessel awakening.

Seeing such a young child having mastered it shook his confidence in himself. He could sense their bone ages and knew both of them were less than 200 years old.

However he figured it did not matter since they will both die here anyways. After activating their strongest states they both attacked.

Naledi swung her sword upwards, sword intent mixed with dense ice intent shot out like a crescent blade a dozen metres wide.

At rank 6, people are able to actively use intent instead of it being passive like when they were rank 5.

Naledi had gone all out with that attack, it contained her strongest comprehension of intent.

Plus it wasn't just intent, unlike laws, intent was not powerful on it own so the attack was an actual sword technique.

Naledi had been working on creating her own sword style in hopes of learning martial intent.

Even though she succeeded in mastering her sword technique she still couldn't touch martial intent.

That's because she lacked the essence of true martial arts, if Ved could compare her to something it would be a mage.

She can use martial arts but to her it was merely a means to an end, she was a mage at heart.

He on the other hand used his martial intent combined with his electric discharge and nuclear reactor traits.

A blue beam of nuclear energy shot out from his mouth and from his horns shot out red lightning.

The two mixed mid flight creating a blue red beam, then he bit, his bite force was the strongest thing about him.

" Dragon Bite: Heavens Devour." This was his strongest martial move from the dragon style.

A black projection of a gigantic dragon mouth appeared Infront of him, it was made of his martial intent.

His martial intent had grown so thick it had almost reached the level of dao but it could not pass that gap.

He was stuck and saw no way forward, not to mention at this level his martial intent was already placing a burden on his body and soul.

He knew even if he mastered martial dao, he might not be able to use it currently as his body and soul wouldn't be able to withstand it.

Neither of them stopped, they sent waves of attacks at the same time. All of this happened in an instant.

When their attacks touched the wind blades they crumbled like sand castles not even slowing down the wind blades.

Naledi tried to use her snow teleportation ability but the laws of wind had blanketed the entire space.

She couldn't teleport nor did she have another way to block. Her images faced the wind blades with a sword in hand.

The crown on its head blazed like flames of ice but it was not enough. Ved realised at this rate they would both die.

Unfortunately the wind blades were moving much faster than either of them could manage.

The only reason they weren't dead was because the old ancestor of the Kadaris empire had attacked them casually.

If he had been serious he would've used a stronger ability and kill them faster than they can blink.

As the wind blades drew closer, the world seemed to slow down. Ved wrecked his brain on how to survive.

He figured he could use formless shift, the trait's main purpose is to negate attacks or reduce their effects.

Unfortunately he couldn't use it on Naledi, while the cloak had that trait it couldn't turn her body into formless mist.

It could at most make her presence more faint. Then an idea struck him and he opened his mouth and lunged at her.

This caught not just Naledi but the comprehension realm ancestor of the Kadaris empire.

Naledi's first instinct was to resist but she stopped herself. Ved ate her then immediately used formless shift.

He used it just in time because a moment later the winds blades hit him, he felt a wave of pain assaulting his senses.

However to the comprehension realm ancestor of the Kadaris empire, Ved appeared to turn into mist and dispersed.

He spread out his soul sense but he couldn't find them no matter how hard he tried. He grew frustrated but refused to leave.

He believed they were hiding nearby and would show up eventually so he waited, a day passed then two yet they didn't show.

He was starting to believe they had escaped but he refused to believe that. If others learnt two manifestation realm juniors escaped from his grasp, he would become a laughing stock.

Ved and Naledi in the meantime appeared on a distant small island that had been harvested cleanly.

He flew inside a tiny crack still in his formless form, the crack led deep inside the island on a large underground cavern, then he materialised.

He spewed out Naledi who was covered in his saliva. She did not mind her state and immediately rushed to check on him.

He appeared fine for a split moment but when he materialised, his image showed up with him, meaning he was still not out of the woods yet.

Then thin lines appeared all over his body and before either he or Naledi could react he was cut into thousands of pieces.

Normally even something like this would not be enough to kill him but the attacks had landed on his head.

Fortunately for him, his image had infused an absurd amount of life energy into one of his sub brains.

The sub brains didn't have the power of the main brain but they could keep him alive. Ved saw the panic in Naledi's eyes.

Then he felt his consciousness slip out and before he knew it, he was completely out.
