Chapter 346 346: Threat of Laws
Chapter 346 346: Threat of Laws
Seeing as they were unable to hurt each other, everybody ignored everybody else and searched for treasures.
They found bottles of elixirs that could even help creation realm experts and artefacts, while other races can't gain physical enhancement just by holding artefacts like humans can.
They were still able to use the skills of those artifacts so artefacts held as much value to them as they did to humans.
Even more so, he had just recently learnt that artifacts at or above rank 7 can be used by beasts as well.
The laws in them bypass the limitations placed on the use of artefacts by the beast race.
Of course most beasts had bodies as powerful as artefacts and they disdain their use, not to mention unable to wield them effectively.
Just like that an entire day went by, they had scoured the entire palace and took all that they can take.
Unfortunately none of them had found any cultivation techniques. Ved returned to the main hall.
The others were yet to return when Naledi showed up in a shower of light, before Ved could say anything she grabbed his arm.
" Lets go." The truth was that Naledi had been watching everything for some time from the throne room.
After obtaining the inheritance left here she gained partial control of the palace. Ved did not question her.
They flew out of the palace like streaks of light, by the time the others reacted the two of them were already out the gate.
Naledi waved her hand and the doors of the palace closed shut locking all of them inside.
Plus the protection had disappeared, meaning they can hurt each other now and she hoped they would.
She didn't stop, Ved transformed into his true dragon form and they flew away as fast they could.
He used stealth to hide them then he flew down and broke through the ice on top of the ocean.
The ice layer was hundreds of metres thick but the water under it was actually warm and comfortable.
He hoped they wouldn't be discovered under here. They swam cautiously towards the exit of this world.
In the meantime, those stuck in the palace had fought just as she had hoped but after exchanging dozens of blows they decided to stop.
The empire was at a massive disadvantage but the Nephilim also didn't want to waste time with them, plus the ancestor of the empire threatened detonating himself taking everybody with him.
There were other treasures outside of this palace, dying for ones in the hands of others was not worth it plus if they could find that girl they could take what she had gained here.
Seeing as she was able to lock them inside, they figured she must've obtained the inheritance left here.
This made them envious of her. They decided to work together to break the doors but realised their actions were futile.
Fortunately for them, after five minutes the doors opened on their own. Naledi was incapable of locking them forever.
They all flew out and spread out, they even forgot about the other treasures in the island or the surrounding islands.
They had clearly felt the aura left inside that palace, they knew it was an incredibly powerful person who had created it.
Possibly someone who had reached the sovereign realm, or even the realm above, if that girl had obtained their inheritance.
Then she would have a way to break the limit and ascend beyond the sovereign realm thus gaining the power to traverse the void itself.
They all understood the value of such knowledge, even if the Nephilim couldn't cultivate the human vessel system.
The knowledge to reach that realm was quite similar and this held massive value to them as well.
Unfortunately no matter how hard they searched they couldn't find either Ved or Naledi.
In the meantime
The two of them were close to reaching the exit. They spread out their soul sense to see if anybody was around.
After not discovering anybody they decided to fly out but they had made a mistake, they had forgotten there were beings stronger than them.
The ancestor of the Kadaris Empire was standing near the edge of their soul sense so they couldn't see him.
His soul sense on the other hand could spread far wider than either of theirs. As soon as they appeared he discovered them.
To be more specific he knew something had broken through the ice but due to Ved's stealth he couldn't see them.
The old ancestor took a step and his body faded into the wind, it was carried by the laws and reached the exit almost instantly.
He stood Infront of the exit and folded his arms. His soul sense continued searching but he discovered nothing.
This made him frown, he knew those two had some hiding ability, his descendant had questioned the array master.
He told them those two had requested he bind two abilities into a cloak and both abilities were related to stealth.
What he didn't expect was that even he wouldn't be able to see through those abilities.
Unless of course those two weren't here to begin with but he couldn't be certain until he tested it out.
Ved and Naledi floated a few kilometres away from him quietly, they knew any sudden movements would create a disturbance in the air.
A soul sense as powerful as that of the Kadaris ancestor would quickly discover that, they couldn't risk it.
In fact they had to hold their breaths as well, good thing breathing was more of an option to them now.
Even if they took a single breath once every 100 Years they would be fine. They waited for the Kadaris ancestor to leave.
Yet the man just sat cross legged mid air and closed his eyes. He started mediating Infront of the exit.
A group of green skinned people came flying towards the exit then paused when they saw him.
Their race was an enemy to the Kadaris empire and they knew this ancestor very well.
He has once fought with their supreme ruler, so they understood his power very well, as well as his cruelty.
Their leader was merely a manifestation realm late stage, there was no way they could fight him.
They turned around to run but they had barely turned when their bodies were cut into a hundred pieces.
Invisible blades of winds had diced them up faster than they can react. Their attacker had not even opened his eyes let alone move.
Then he did, " Since you won't come out then I'll force you out." He whispered, his voice drifted forward being carried by the wind.
Before Ved or Naledi could react he raised his finger then pointed it down. Countless blades of winds covered the sky and fell down like rain.
Each one infused with laws, with enough power to threaten both of them. Detecting the threat, Ved's image bloomed like a towering tree.
The old ancestor grinned revealing his crooked teeth.
" By Odin's beard, fuck me." Naledi cursed before Ved could.
